  1. Unfortunately it doesn't recognize the bar codes, presumably because they are imports, and the rest don't have a bar code.
  2. Alpine top range but older HU, has all the bells and whistles, IE time correction etc etc, full details here http://www.alpine-europe.com/fileadmin/user_upload/manuals//history_products/CDA-9853R/OM_CDA-9853R_EN.pdf Has some signs of use but overall good condition, comes with remote, it has no plastic surround but most Japanese car applications don't need them, anyway one of the best sounding HU I have ever heard. Comes with a 300w Pioneer amp, not too pretty but works OK. Would prefer to sell together for £120 +P&P but may split
  3. Still got these so re advertising at a more realistic price.
  4. Totally wrong! Right, that's it, outside now! Bugger off! its full of scary kids outside now.
  5. Not needed or desired IMO, it seems a fight can be started with very little effort without the aid of a dislike button.
  6. Hope she is OK fella, nothing worse than waiting and feeling useless.
  7. What a let down, and agree with the no directional comments.
  8. I would have to ask the question why would Nissan want to strip the gearbox to determine why you have a clutch slip problem??? If the clutch slips under load and the clutch is adjusted properly (it shouldn't need any adjustment after just 6.5K) then why the hell are they not investigating, apart from that how in hell can they put that down to ware and tear...its virtually a new car, have you thought about contacting Nissan head office and see what they have to say?
  9. I think the main question, as in why and how needs to be answered, the tank is an expansion tank, and as such should be filled to the mark as said, the pipe that comes from the thermostatic cap be it on a rad or the engine coolant pipework in this case, and goes into the expansion tank, Its there to allow the cooling system to breath as such, if you heat water it will expand, so when the engine is switched off and the rad is no longer doing its job, the coolant will inevitably overheat via induction, this over pressures the system and the coolant is forced past the thermostat and into the expansion tank, As the engine cools a partial vacuum occurs, and as the pipe from the cap thermostat is designed to allow coolant to be sucked back into the system, because this pipe is (should be) always below the coolant level in the tank, the problems arise when this expansion tank is allowed to go low or dry, which is why the OP is likely having trouble with air locks.
  10. I have gone back to playing Oblivion GOTY again, got sick of the murder and mayhem of GTA 5, its amazing just how many hours you end up putting in, and I still haven't discovered half the locations, guess I'm addicted to the open world aspects of games, was hoping that Fallout 4 was coming to PS3, now it looks like I will have to buy a PS4 in order to enjoy it.
  11. Received this email today, seems they are trying a less complicated approach, was tempted to copy and paste a credit agreement with OTT rates and send it back. Seems they even used a spell checker. "Am sorry to bother you with this mail, Unfortunately I'm out of the country in South Cyprus and found myself in a Tragic situation which i really need to take care of now, I had my bags stolen from me and personal belongings.. I have tried to contact with the necessary authorities but nothing is really working out, the bad news is my flight will be leaving very soon. I really need a quick loan from you Please. Thanks, Steve "
  12. Is that a thermostatic take off plate? if not your going to need one, and you will likely need cover the cooler during cold weather as it may well cool the oil too much.
  13. Although I agree with a lot that's been said, and also being an older driver, I think there is a need to quantify, as all drivers are NOT equal, there are both good and bad drivers at any age, however a basic driving skill and hazard perception test should be applied to all over a certain age, and more of an effort should be made to weed out the people who are really medically unfit to drive, along with the mentally unfit, including those unfit by attitude. But in the currently OTT PC world I cant see this happening. And just to qualify my "NOTequall " comment, I have seen people track and race driving at 70 who could thrash a lot of younger track drivers.
  14. Big difference between a tapping and a whistle.
  15. Still makes me chuckle to see this sort of post, IE people fitting so called performance mods and wondering why they don't see any gain on the VQ/HR series, is there not a sticky somewhere outlining what works and whats needed to make mods work? or is it just a case of people not reading it or searching?
  16. Watched five minutes of it and nearly fell asleep.
  17. Its about 9 weeks to Christmas and my outside temp gauge is showing 18c in the shade here in sunny Norfolk.
  18. Shame you had to sell up fella, hopefully the person that bought conversion kit will be starting a new build.
  19. So the car went as a project for somebody else to finish? if so I'm glad its not being broken, would be such a shame.
  20. Smoothrite/Hammerite works fine but so does 2K, used this on lots of cars for disc's and calipers.
  21. Well put it this way unless you also clean all the earth points that the earthing kit mounts too, your wasting your time fitting one.
  22. Snake oil, basically a quick fix for bad earths, due to electrolysis and corrosion of the earth contact points, they over time develop a resistance, which is not good, and in some circumstances can cause problems, You can achieve exactly the same effect by going through the engine earth points and giving them a good clean with a bit of wet n dry, and save yourself some money, unless of course you like the extra wiring in bright colours, in that case fill your boots.
