Changing the map is not strictly necessary, changing the Y pipe is unlikely to make enough difference to worry about, if the rest of the exhaust is already free flow, it wont affect AFRs enough to worry about, and the possible loss or gain of maybe one or two BHP.

I have the HU8500 in 55" best TV I have ever owned, the upscaling on films stored on HDD/NAS is fantastic, GLWTS.

I would only ever employ a so called specialist for jobs that I really can't do (and that's not much) or when a guarantee needs a specific certificate number, unfortunately this was one of them, anyway a new contractor booked for next week......I can't wait!
-
Unfortunately I don't think they know how! I despair at the way this world is going, we are most definitely heading faster and faster to our own exstinction......by stupidity!

Thanks! unfortunately not, that was back in the 70s, the 45 is from the same era, and the Triumph from the 80s and the Z650 from the 90s, that's just a few of the bikes I have built over the years, some I don't even have pics of.

Surprising how little Sportsters have changed apart from the drive and motor options, and even then not so far different, couple of pics of my old bikes, the Sportster is actually red, its just the old pic that makes it a bit pink.

Yes the 350GT needs an extra 9-10" in the middle to fit a Z exhaust. You could try over on the Skyline forum and see if anyone has a spare, we have a dedicated 350GT section.

Update! Well all of a sudden it seems to be working yet I have changed nothing that haven't changed before, IE back to the setting that its normally used on both NAS and router. I am now wondering if it was down to the media server that it uses, Twonky, however if I use the the web link on the NAS it will ask for a password but reject any that I give it despite it being right, but as most know the free version which I would think its running (cant change that) is no longer supported, at least to the public, I downloaded a trial onto my laptop and wonder if logging into this has helped...probably not but at least its working for now. The only thing I can think of is that logging into one of the web based add on's like you say has inadvertently changed a minor setting, but I have now uninstalled pretty much everything.
-
Nothing changed! apart from that how would it affect the TVs and PS3? the other odd thing is that I can access the web configuration page, but not the media content.
-
No duplicates, just cant figure just what has changed, the fact that its accessible via the home network but not via web streaming, but then shouldn't it be able to stream via home network to the TV? And the other very odd thing is the fact that when it was powered down and disconnected, it worked on reconnection, and then stopped, what could cause that? Also been through the router config but cant find anything that looks amiss. Edit: no problem with ping either!
-
Update, I have just had to go out so turned the NAS off, and when I came in I unplugged it from the power supply, and the LAN then plugged back in again, turned on and initially all worked for about 3 minuets....and now back to square one, most odd?

This is driving me nuts, I have a Zyxel 320s NAS bought earlier this year, and its been perfectly fine until now, last night I decided to install two new packages that basically allow cloud storage and access, don't remember touching anything else, now I suddenly cant access any of the shared content via both my TVs, PS3 and computers via the web based interface, however I can access it via the computer network with no problem. Now I have gone through all the settings and cant see any reason for this, I have also uninstalled the packages and disabled any others that I thought might have any impact, but I am now out of ideas, so any help or suggestions very welcome, other than what I have done before I have no idea, and am not particularly knowledgeable when its comes to NAS setup.

I hate unprofessional and rude trades people, the misses booked a local heating engineer to service our 3 year old external oil fired boiler, nothing special just the usual nozzle replace, clean and combustion check, I will be doing it once the five year warranty runs out. Anyway today its raining and not very nice, however the misses sees the van arrive but looks like he cant see the house number, so the wife nips out to verify, ( I think he was already looking for an excuse to leave before he started) Right from the start he was looking for a reason not to do the job to the extent that he was making obstacles and being just downright unprofessional and rude to extent where the wife called me and I said his attitude sucked, at which point he fooked off! He basically dint want to do the job that he booked in the rain, now after going around the side of the house to look at the boiler he took the hose reel off the wall and chucked it on the ground, then proceeded to tell the wife that his gazebo would "crush the plants", and "you will be suing me because your boiler electrics get wet" fair point but but why not either just ring and cancel the job politely because of the rain, or just turn up and say sorry to let you down etc etc, but instead he is a complete knob end!

TDC Off and Slip light, Car won't start? Need help!
Tricky-Ricky replied to Davehasell's topic in 350Z General
LOL! Old school....if in doubt give it a whack. As said check for error codes. -
You can also map the WI, the WI has a pulse width control like an injector before the jet, so you can literally map it like a fuel injector, I mapped my Supra so that I only injected water once a set boost or load was reached, so its only being used when its needed.
-
There probably is other mapping software, but I haven't seen any, as far as Up-rev is concerned it is very easy to create a generic map for the various upgrades, and just upload them, which I am sure some Up rev tuners do, but there are some that go the extra mile and create a map specifically tailored for the particular car.
-
My big problem with Nos , like adding boost, is that unless you add the correct amount of fuel as well you have an instant problem, so in my books adding something that only cools, and nothing bad will happen if it stops ( this is providing its not a mapped for scenario) is a no brainier. Don't forget we have mostly been talking about using WI as a charge and in cylinder cooling aid, and if done correctly can add a few bhp and ftlb with no risk, and quite a few benefits.
-
Mostly marketing, any differences are minimal and wont have any effects, most modern oils, even the cheap ones are over speced, if fact I haven't heard of a directly oil quality related problem in the last 30 years. The hot viscosity is up to you, it seems some like the 30 and some the 40, although I still not sure how some have had a slightly thicker oil cause smoking and thinner not.
-
Well they are all 5w30 fully synth, so all should be fine, I ran my VQ and all my previous cars on Helix semi synth 10w40.
-
As said fail safes are only needed if its a mapped for WI system, IE one in which things like ignition timing has been advanced, and fuelling tweaked, then you just have default maps should say the tank ran dry or you had a blocked jet, but I think that is all included in the new modular systems. I have used Aquamist stuff before they developed the modular kits, which pretty much cover everything, they are actually used on some production cars, they are on the expensive side but make up for it with effect and ease of application,http://www.aquamist-direct.com/ There is also a forum which is pretty helpful, and if you can get to talk the Richard Lamb he is the system designer/engineer guru of WI, very nice fella too, I think there are still some pics of my Supra install in the gallery, must go and have a look.
-
WI has no effect on octane fella, if you where to run 100% meth that's a different matter and would need a different map, and anything less than a 50/50/water/meth wont make any odds, you also wont have any problems other than a loss of performance by running too much water/meth. IMO WI is a worthwhile addition if your FI, simply for the charge cooling and det suppression side of things, and adding a basic system is not such a pain, as long as you remember not to try and inject too much water, this is where a lot of people go wrong, and then say oh it messes with performance.
-
I have run WI/meth on several cars, and providing you can map for the benefits its very good, yes you do need some fail safes if you do it correctly, but on any turbo car its a very good way of charge cooling and in cylinder cooling, and can allow timing changes without risk of detonation, but its charge cooling qualities can be an advantage even on a N/A motor. The only time you may get performance problems are if you inject at the wrong quantities and in adequate vaporisation...just like fuel injectors get it wrong and it wont work.
-
Crank pulley will do nothing, and will likely cause problems down the line if not damped, some will disagree, but dynamic balancer pulleys are fitted by engine designers for a reason.
-
You have obviously never run WI...properly! I would never say its a performance gain on its own, but its certainly a performance enhancer when used correctly.
-
You should be close to 300BHP after a decent map, however I only know of two tuners that use Up rev and they are 100s of miles from you.
