  1. Have you checked the compression since you re timed the engine? and have you checked that the crank and cam sensors actually trigger?
  2. I often wonder this as well, the closest I can come is the nostalgia option, or the cynical option, perhaps hoping that the albums/CD/video etc will gain value because of there passing.
  3. Ouch! you do have to elongate the bolt holes in order to achieve full adjustment.
  4. I think I paid about £35 for just the bolts about five years ago, just check goggle Eibach toe bolts.
  5. For the look at me factor then yes it does draw attention, but I guess I prefer a little more subtlety from a just a catch can, besides I have never been convinced of there functionality sat on top of the rad and the fact that they are very shallow, so as its not only oil that drops out in a can but water vapor as well, and usually a lot more than oil, I would be worried about it getting too full and being sucked back into the intake.
  6. Inclined to agree, I really don't see what all the fuss is about, they don't look that nice IMO.
  7. With a SC its not going to make much difference, but with turbos yes, I ran a true duel pretty much std everything else, no ECU tune, and it made std power on Abbeys dyno.
  8. Edit to say I thought the post above was referring to using anything under 97ron! The answer is no! the measurement of octane is a reference to the fuels ability to resist knock during combustion, so the lower the figure, the lower the knock resistance, the manufactures don't place a limitation on the octane of the fuel you should use for fun, so if you want to risk your engine its up to you. I dare say some have got a way with using lower octane fuel, however all that means is the engine has not yet received enough damage from knock taking place for it to become apparent IE ring/ring land damage, I would hazard a guess that if all of the motors that had been using lower octane fuel where compression or better still leak down tested at least half of them would exhibit lower compression on one or more cylinders.
  9. Fantastic actor, such a shame, made the same comment on another forum where I saw this news, some many greats are dying of this horrible condition recently.
  10. I would ask them exactly what parameters they change, as there is more than one way to achieve a quick power gain, personally at that price I would be doing the miles for a known Uprev tuner.
  11. The extra volume will help with oil temps a little but I doubt more than a few degrees, and it will also help cut the worry when it comes to dipstick miss reading.
  12. Shroud's do very little, you either need the filter completely enclosed with a separate cold air feed like the std air box, or get the filter in direct airflow.
  13. Those voltages are fine, I would say your battery is failing due to the colder weather, its the time of year when most new battery's are sold.
  14. Cant see the Z listed in the Nissan section, not aware of any other std ECU remapping software bar Up rev.
  15. Sounds like the belt needs re tensioning to me.
  16. Sad news, RIP Ziggy, makes you feel old when all the pop idols you grew up with start to pass away.
  17. Spent some time with valentine, but have now been with Paladin Danse for ages, he is pretty resilient, and is very handy when it comes to battling death claws and the military robots.
  18. Cheers. I shall have a look for her there then. Checked last night btw and I'm only level 24, ....been playing for days (feels like) so Tricky at level 33 odd must have put in some serious time. LOL! Addicted! I am now on level 35, just mainly going around trying to find all the locations now.
  19. Doesn't sound that bad to me, they are noisy engines, the cam and injector noise can be amplified by the large amount of alloy in the engine, Didn't the OP mention putting it in park so I would presume its auto? th gallery gaskets wont be a cause, apart from the fact that the oil pressure is already low at idle, unless there was a serious lack of oil you wont hear it from the engine, aside from CEL etc.
  20. Yes its because the DE ECU has no knock control in the higher RPM/load regions, so if you use lower ron fuel your likely to be getting knock, but with no sensing for ignition retard where you need it most, (well done Nissan!) you end up with damage to the rings/ring lands, so false economy really.
  21. I am on level 33 and some of the lower perks are still grayed out, so does it depend on a combination of the main perks and level ? I am sure on the previous games you had to add all the main perks before you could get all of the lower ones. If you highlight the perk at the bottom it will show a requirement of level and SPECIAL/Perk level for example L15 + Luck 6 or at least that's how I understand it. You may need to upgrade a lower level perk to full before it unlocks. But as I said I still don't really understand it, only figured out how to do explosives the other night That's exactly what I thought, you can only get some of them once you have maxed out the main perks, I have finished the main quest, and managed to keep all the factions happy, although I still have to decide if I want to help the institute further, and at that point I guess I will have to fall out (pun intended) with the Railroad, the Minutemen, or the Brotherhood of Steel, I have been wearing power Armour for quit a lot of the game, but it makes you a bit bold when dealing with anything but Death claws and the big rad scorpions, oh and the queen Mirelucks.
