WRT the car becoming chavvy, the only hope we have is that the Zed isnt the usual hot hatch and doesnt immediately strike young scroats as a car they could have or want to have. After all they cant ferry all their mates around with their tunes blaring out in a 2 seater sports car Im 20 and my other car is a 172 am i a chav?

Yeah your right the battery on my car is tiny. whats the biggest battery size you can get or is it a bodge job to fit normal batteries. I agree if your getting a new battery go for a deep cycle. I still personally think split charge is overkill but thats just IMO .

IMO a split charge and extra batteries will do nothing if your car is on. They are only good for when you are sitting around without the engine. Unless you have a bigger alt then you will be giving even less to each battery. The thing that will get you the most gains is, The big 3. Get some 4 or 0awg wire and uprate battery to chassis, alternator to battery and alternator/engine to chassis. That will give you the best gains wise and minimize votlage drop. Also you already have a volt meter so IMO you wont need to upgrade the alt or more batteies unless your your going 2krms+ with class a/b amps.

Its not just the size of sub its the sub spec, e.g. an idmax10" or old school solobaric 10" will need less room then a DD9512 which can use up to 4cuft. Best thing to do is check minium and recomended sealed enclosure size when buying a sub, Also remember when chosing your enclosure its before sub displacement. One trick which im not sure you can use on a sealed but works well on a ported enclosure is wadding. It slows the air down making the sub think its in a bigger box but you lose 3db off the peak.

If you dont put it in a box it will be running IB mode so you have to be careful of the power you give it. Also it might be really boomy as IB sounds like that. Why not run older kicker (round) solobaric 8". They can be made to work in 0.3cuft.

When you say "bungs" out what do you mean by that? Its the same with my clio, although im more concious as if i saw a 350z go past with a loudish exhaust it looks standard but they clio would look chav. I tend to shift at 2krpm and only give it slight throttle round town. Most exhausts quieten down after 1k miles same with decat. I'm thinking about running a k1 or k2 with a custom Y pipe and decat, would that be silly loud?

Caliper appears to be working ok My mate had this problem thats why I ask. braking was fine but there was a squeeling and rubbing noise all the time. Rac man said to reverse the car fast and the stone flew out. Very rare though.

not a stone stuck in the caliper?

I have 6 figures on one line in the middle and it was done officially so is legit - however, two of those are number ones which saves a lot of space. 5 should be absolutely fine! cheers mate

Would it not be a little quieter as a test pipe or decat is usually the bore of the exhaust but the cat ballons in the middle creating lower pressure? I could be very very wrong though

try some coppergrease. If he had warped the pads when braking the steering wheel would shake. Is it all the time as in my experience all good performance pads hate being driven round town and braking at slow speeds 20mph and less they squek when the do that.

Cheers Not sure what gains they are seeing in the states. Getting the figures up top was fairly easy really, it was getting all the torque in midrange that was harder. There will be some variation between cars of course so it's possible some may post similar numbers to this stock. On a back to back basis the gains we have seen while testing have been good. You offer a normal performance cal and a bespoke one. The bespoke being a little more expensive. I was just wondering if this map is bespoke?

I was looking at some pg ti6's but they sold so im looking about 200quid for comps, about 200quid for amp for speakers. The sub i might be getting a FI Q 10 as it need 1.2cuft to work on and it sounds nice. I will get a seprate amp for the sub as the fi is rated at 1000rms so i might give it between 900-1200rms. The reason i choose the box first is as it is the one which fits under the rear strut bar. I might use 3 amps powerful class d for subs a decent one for the mids and a smallish one for the tweeters. I have a 24xs active crossover sitting about so it would be rude not to use it. headunit i use jvc avx stuff but ideally i want a double din. I get my cables from knuconceptz. The only thing is i have a jap 350z and the battery is poncy what size of battery do i need e.g. 063 or 076. The speaker is my first thing to buy then the amps will be bought according to the speakers e.g. the ti6s are 150rms per side which is alot so i would need an amp to match it. Also i will be buying alot of the stuff second hand as usually you can get bargains from TA

I have a Japanese 350z, It as square plates at the front and at the back. I have a number plater with 5 letters, Could i get a number plate that would show the 5 letters in a row and not 2 on top on 3 on the bottom. But could I get this done legally? I don't want any trouble off the 5-0. Thanks

Sorry to thread hijack but where can you get a Nismo N1 spoiler? I found lots that look like the nismo but are copies. Do they look as good, is fitting good? Or would I just be better to get a nismo one? One last question roughy, how much would it cost to paint and fit? Thanks

Yeah usually IMO IB sucks as you need loads of power for not much bass and its not tight like a sealed or wobbley like a ported its boomy.

Thats what i thought as most installs dont have rear speakers as it drags the sound stage back. Il have a look round just to see what others have done.
