Not sure if this helps but what about a bmw V8? the 4.4 v8 used in the 740 and 540. I think they are near 300bhp already. Can be tweaked pretty easily to make more and its the basis of the new FI M engines.

wouldn't be able to tell you but another hassle would be your need to fit a throttle cable stock ECU can work with fly by wire but your also need a vacuum pump to suuply vacuum for the brakes. In my view on a road car waste of time and money. Ahh ok cheers.

you have choose 2 different types of cars there. Fast tourers e.g. the 350z and supra and a more performance orientated s15. S15 will be the fastest standard and with a bit of money thrown in. If you want faster the supra needs alot of money but you can get alot of bhp. Biggest change will be driving style although the 350 doesnt have a turbo it still has low down grunt. Also JDM's usually make a few extra bhp.

I have a JDM battery on the G35 that I am breaking mate. Looks pretty new and holds it charge. Knockhill tomoz Your better off with a uk IMO. everyone laughs at the jdm one. also when you got a uk one you can park it for 2 weeks and it will still start. Also it kicks into life alot better with a bigger battery. You need to change the positive terminal as it has fuses on it. Then I got a 005L battery. jdm was 40ah and 330cca and now its 68ah and 640cca.
