  1. Like where? I'm pretty happy with my 420bhp RWD SC Zed - if theres a faster RWD coupe out there for the money I'd like to know what it is? yes you have a 420bhp. most have 250 when dynoed. A boxster would be faster. Also for under 10k you could get a very fast 300zx http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1976536.htm. You have alot more bhp then standard but a standard 350 isnt the fastest thing for the money.
  2. TBH if your buying a Z because of its performance I would look elsewhere personally. all comes down to budget aswell

    For Ian

Wow I would love my car to look like that
  4. Sorry mate your wrong. Understeer CAN be easily corrected in both fwd and rwd cars. Oversteer can be corrected in a rwd (drifting) but as a fwd car has no power at the back it's hard to recover from. Tbh unless your astra is a fast one or you really push it you *might* not notice the difference buy when pushing it you will. If both wheels are the same size why not swap them over it will only take you 10mins and then you can see for yourself
  5. Ahh right ok. That's for the guide
  6. Ive never used di noc but is it anything like putting a screen protector on a phone? If so could you not use some soapy water in a spray bottle to stop getting bubbles? Like I said i have never used it so Im just seeing.
  7. Pioneer stuff is usally decent when it comes to sq but considering you not running an external amp its not really a problem unless you have been running a naki or a mac. You could use the bose amp but you will need something like the pac reom 2 or something that connects the bose amp to your headunit using the rca's ( red and white phono looking leads). As for the steering wheel control you will need a patch lead to make the contol work with the headunit.
  8. On all of the fwd cars forums I have owned they have all said put new tyres on rear. Now I tried this on my arosa. I had new tyres at the back and ones with about 2.5ish mm at the front. I took it for a drive and it felt ok. Then I thought the same as you guys saying wait it's a fwd car new tyres on the front. So I changed them round. Yes the handling and braking was better. But when I pushed it quite hard (I used to drive like a hero) the back end kept sliding out. I thought it was fun as it was quite controlable and fun but I pushed it to hard and spun out. I only say this as I talk from experience. Both tyres where gdyr eagle f1 fad-3's. It's IMO of course. I had unmathched tyres on my 106 and it was fine as both where in good shape.
  9. You have to remember tesco's is one of their sponsers.
  10. Attak's has the sweetest rims in the country, awful ghey front grill though but because of his sweet wheels il let him off
  11. you got the right ohms from sub and amp?
  12. You can get the rear end out like on my 172 and near the limit you can steer using the throtle but if you was to spin it no way its could come back. go about 45degrees and its over. Well thats you mixed tyres are bad out of the window aswell then isnt it?
  13. It will be fine, Be careful with the gain. Over powering or under power doesnt kill speakers, dirty power does. If you turn the gain up to much on the amp you will get clipping and it will slow kill your sub.
  14. That was kind of my point. I'd rather have a car that was more lively with more front end grip, the same way I have my 350Z set up. Yes but In a 350 if you lost your back end you could floor it and steer yourself. If you lose the back end in a fwd car you cant really recover from it.
  15. Not necessarily. If it were me I'd put them on the fronts, simply because I would want more grip on the wheels moving the car as well as doing the steering. You may end up with a safer car your way as it would understeer with greater aplomb, but there's no real need to do it that way. No if you had more grip on the front you would push it more, rears would lose grip and your rear would spin out. Rears should always be in good condition on fwd cars. Yes thats what Im saying Andlid, if you spin out on a fwd car its game over as you can usually steer out of it and there is no power at the rear wheels
  16. Agreed^^. You say it handles like crap in the wet and rubbish in the dry. Is that because it has mixed tires or budgets on the front? When I got my 172 i had mixed tyres on it. There was no problems. Also new tyres should always go on the back of fwd cars.

    Problem

does you steering wheel shake when you go faster than 60mph?
  18. That would be silly. A fwd car lethal in the wet? You either can't drive or your are making a mountain out of a mole hill.
  19. Love it great work. TBH i bet you can hardly tell its there.
  20. I have heard the best is britemax twins?
  21. fk1000p water will not sit on the car.
  22. I think you have done the right thing mate.
  23. the de is 276 unless you have the 296 rev up. On the 296 Im sure with some cars there was a problem of them burning oil due to oval cylinders. What reg mate?
