  1. If I was splashing 40k on a car getting dura metric is cheap insurance IMO. But if your buying it from Porsche you should be ok.
  2. I'm sorry what am I looking for? where is it damped? If you look carefully at the junction of the two diameter pulleys its decoupled by a thin rubber insert. I'm 95% sure my oem one didn't have that and it was solid.
  3. You say that but we agree on quite a lot of things except for tyres even then we agree but we all know what your like. Plus I'm not a keyboard warrior troll :-p I bet if we ever met we would either be trading punches or be BFFs.
  4. After that post I'm surprised you do? You don't like the car. You can splash 20k on it. It's still a 6k car you don't like. You want a hatch you say you will have more fun plus it's cheaper. I'd go house and fun over a car anyway of the week.
  5. You will only have auto-leveling lights and washers if your car has Xenon lights. Maybe imports don't as they were an option in Japan, but standard in the UK. Same goes for Brembo brakes, standard in UK, Japanese option. I don't think its to do because it was an option as it was and it wasn't if that makes sence. E.g. I think T, ST have them as standard maybe others. I think the auto levellers and washers are for eu rules.

  7. Also don't v6's have balance shafts too? I will try to find that post that made alot of sence to me when choosing to fit the AMS pulley.
  8. I'm not questioning your wrong but do you have any proof that is is harmonic damped?
  9. True but have you seem the oem pulley. It's 100% not damped. If it was if agree to replace it with a damped one.
  10. Never had that problem tbh. Did you replace the nut on tensioner?
  11. I have researched the pulleys before fitting them. People will tell you that the pulley is a harmonic damper but that's false. I fitted thr pulley and the old pulley is solid cast metal no runner or damping. V6's have stout and short cranks which are internally balanced. A fluid dampr is a harmonic damper. The oem isn't. I have fitted it to my own car and I wouldn't if it would cause harm.
  12. Again I don't see the problem? It's like in mario kart where you get that golden mushroom. You only have it for ten seconds so you use it constantly. Tbh I think it's good that they are honest? If I was resigning I would even ask for leave because I'd be leaving soon? A quarter of a year when you've resigned due to their actions (or lack of)? That's a bit of a thin description of 'soon' in my eyes dude! If I wasn't happy I wouldn't hang around. It's just opertunitues your missing whilst wasting 1/4 of a year. Just suppose we have a different outlook.

  14. I also had silica gel during the winter. Threw on the radiator every few days to dry it out and then put it back in the car. They where hefty pouches but worked well.
  15. So if your not going to find a better paid job in that time your doing as little as possible I don't get why you want to get all this law stuff involved like tribunals etc? I am completely missing the point? It seems like 1st world problem to me
  16. Its not quite that simple. I can't just leave without being paid. My plans are rather precariously balanced and losing around 5k in wages puts a rather large hole in them. Fair enough but do you need that 5k that much that your stressed out because of it? Could you not just find another job till then that would make you about 5k?
  17. If the whole thing made you sick etc why not just leave. I never understand this il do you for this and that if you don't want to be there and they don't want you there leave? Why make it hard?
  18. Custom exhausts are hit or miss IMO. Depending on what you want and have researched and how good, experienced and knowledgable the exhaust builder is.
  19. Book a hotel and stay overnight if needed?
  20. Absolutely. I suppose though, if you don't want that to happen to your family, don't drive like a ***** (Not saying you do, just meaning that he is the only one to blame) Any child that see's that won't street race, I'd put money on it. You could say the same amount smoking or eating certain stuff, driving in general, flying or even stepping out the house. But you don't think what if i die and leave my body out. . to a certain degree, you're right. Smoking causes your family to watch you die slowly (In most cases, not all obviously) and so does eating everything you can reach so it's not too dissimilar. Driving in general and flying etc, yep, you don't think about it. I guess what I was meaning is, do something exceptionally wrong and you deserve anything you get. Doing 80/90 in 70 yes it would be really extreme and excessive, however 150 in a residential area deserves anything you get. I'd far rather his family have to see it than the family of a child who was playing in his garden when a car came bowling through the garden fence. I agree with you but I think he most likly got caught up in the moment. It's not thr first thing that goes through your head. What I find scary is the fact the picture didn't shock or phase me as think as it should have. I'm not a racer or anything but I thought seeing a dead man would shock me more.

  22. Was the fn2 that much heavier? I can remember the ep3 was moaned about as that was quite abit heavier than the ek9 I think. I still love ek9's. I had a 172 a while ago and it was fun and exciting etc etc whilst being fast enough. Giving it nearly 300bhp might be the wrong move IMO. The suspension was perfect for b road blasts IMO. The only car I thought the suspension didn't need toyed with. Would a gt86 not do it for you?
