  1. Turbos will run cooler but let's say your giving it some and they are hot and it's starts to rain and you drive though an unavoidable puddle? As for lag, it would have more but not loads, the guys in the states rub them and they say and show there isn't much lag. The turbo itself will more than likely run cooler as it's further from the engine. The biggest issue with them is the horrendous amount of lag you add to the system, and having felt the difference removing just 500mm from the intake system makes on a turbo, that's not a particularly appealing thought. Each to their own though, if you want easy straight line power then go for OT, although I can't see it being much cheaper to give reliable power than a standard system.
  2. all depends on what fuel prices do, if petrol goes up more but for some reason diesel goes down as haulage companies manage to force a change so its not linked to petrol could make huge savings. 2nd if you have the skills then doing it would be no more expensive than an LPG conversion and if you do the right mileage it would pay for its self within 18 months. Fair enough although a freind of mine has an a5 and gets no where near mpg. Also when I drove a q7 with cruise on at 70 it got 13.7mpg!

    black edition

Your wife didnt like driving it hmm, did she come home smelling of matches and acting shady Really though sorry to hear that about your car Congrats on the 370z, I love the 370's so cool of a car.
  4. If money was no object why would you care about fuel consuption Also audi 3.0 v6 mapped to 300bhp as fast as it is, souless engine. the question never mentioned cost; and the audi engine is actually quicker than the zed; then engine may be souless but in a zed body it should make the combination alot better. it also means i wouldnt need to drive like a grandad to eek out mpg; could still drive hard and easily get 30 mpg, or take it easy and get 50 mpg. ... as for driving style the brake pedal is the hugest issue with fuel consumption, everytime you brake you have to use more fuel to get back up to speed. controlling the speed by just lifting off and reapplying the gas to maintain a speed is far more economical. leaving decent braking distances etc weight reduction etc all helps You said the question never mentioned cost be if its to get a higher mpg surely cost would be a vital factor? If he could afford to do it why would he moan about petrol price?

    40 profile?

Im with you on the gsd3's awesome tyre but trust me it doesnt suit the zed. You better be quick if you want gsd3's aswell as they have stopped making them a while back so its only stock thats left.
  6. I love the idea of mid mounted turbos/rear mounted turbos but are they really practical in the UK? even if you dont have the air feeds under the car surely having hot turbos and going through a puddle would have some effect? I didnt think that they would be undertrayed as they must get silly hot.
  7. They dont build them like they used to
  8. I dont have any pictures of fitment but I would imagine it would be decent. TBH I have only heard of bad spoiler fitment from really cheap manufacteres that touch the side. Im in Dundee, Scotland. Thanks

  16. Get some agur buthi in there thats the only thing strong enough to kind of mask it. The best thing to do is to rent a rug doctor or another carpet cleaning machine unless your hoover can do that. If you spray something on it like fairy liquid or something make sure it doesnt take the colour off. if you do hire a machine, spray the stuff on, aggitate it with a brush then suck it up. I did this to my old 106(smoker had it before me) and it took the smell away. Also if its dry (hardly ever in glasgow lol) then leave the windows open too as it will air it out. I found if you dont aggitate it with a brush it doesnt do a great job.
  17. I personally thougt the orginal ones where very thin and more of something to make speakers fit there than something solid to sit on.
  18. Do you have them mounted on mdf baffles?
  19. Usually the main goal of sound deadening is to add mass. If you are outside the car and knock on the door it should make a thud thud noise. If it makes a high pitched sort of tinny noise then yes use some more sound deadening. Rising power you are right but generally I have found they work better in non moving bits like boots and bulkheads but this doesnt mean its not suited for the doors because of the moving windows but this is purley IMO. Also to the OP I personally wouldnt bother putting sound deadening on your platisic door card. I would layer more of the door if the full inside isnt done. If it is done I would look at putting on another layer. Also are you using baffles? What power you running to your mids?
  20. You can get these addresses in the usa and then they will ship it here for you, I forgot what they are called.
