  1. imo silver calipers look horrible, looks like ones crappy cars come with. are you sure you want silver? Plus IMO if you could get away with powder coating it you would be better doing that
  2. err read the last post? I reckon the 5.5 hours is bullsh*t and the mechanic probably just wanted to be paid for sitting there drinking coffee and twiddling his fingers, as he couldn't be asked to fiddle around with the exhaust or wasn't competent enough (I apologise if this mechanic is on this forum or if I've offended anyone with that comment). I just find it hard to believe somebody sat there fiddling around with an exhaust for 5.5 hours, I would have given up within an hour if it was that awkward. It took the guys an additional 15-30 mins to sort the issue out. All-in-all I was charged £80 to fit the full exhaust system. I personally wouldn't have gone for the Toyosport exhaust if I hadn't got it free due to the sole reason that there aren't enough people with them on. Now that it's on and didn't cost a ridiculous amount to fit it, I am very happy with the exhaust. The noise and looks are just perfect! The fact that no modification was required to the car itself to allow the exhaust system to fit (i.e. removing the diff shield), highlights it weren't extremely awkward to fit. I agree with what both of you guys are saying here. The biggest problem is that there is no consistency with the fitting. Some fit ok, some fit really really badly. The scorpion is always the same but the cars slightly changed which made the route by the diff abit awkward. I have the revup car and the scorpion fitted perfect first time. When you go to the likes of nismo, hks, 5zigen etc etc(ie premium exhausts) They fit perfect everytime. The reason for them being much more expensive is that the designing and testing stages, and equipment used, to make these exhausts are much more indepth and accurate. This is why there is such a big difference in prices and fitment. Is that how petty you are going for a dig.... And you are wrong http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=48018&hilit=Hks+Uk+part+no+Hks+exhaust+Uk
  3. 4. Good job then, I heard talk of itb power I think the number was 196bhp. If I kept the Clio for myself I was really thinking about getting one. Shame because as you say it only had a few drawbacks but I guess it was too good to be true. Its only really coming to light recently, since a lot bought on a group buy and some are quite disappointed it seems. Its a shame, good power with no maintenance and keeping standard ECU and all features was a good idea.
  5. Your on cs more than I am, but it was just coming out as I stopped paying alot of attention to performance mods for the Clio.
  6. Just don't take the gain past 11 o'clock. As with such a weak amp you can easily send a clipped signal and send you voice coils smoking. Also if it's dual voice coil make sure you wire it right.
  7. Jms are good honest guys. Their inlet manifold makes more power than most ITB's. Numbers mean nothing though IMO and unless you know how to do the dyno yourself your at the mercy of the people controlling it.
  8. Well, I am kind of "stuck" with the size box i have. Which is the 1117 in³ = 0.646412 ft³ one. I am not after a LOUD setup... I really want a quality one. Quality? How do you mean?
  9. Dblock

    New Rubber

IMO falkens are too soft to do anything near 25k.
  10. Keep slamming the door closed then after each slam press the window up.
  11. the size of you sub makes less difference than the size and design of the box. How loud do you want it?
  12. Interior looks really really good. Is it painted or wrapped?
  13. OK... so I am reading between the lines and hearing "You Muppet, we can't recommend an Amp till you decide/buy your sub" You need to be more blunt with me my good man ok size 8" or 10"? Price £50, £100 £150+ ? Brand whore?
  14. Are you sure its 0.6cuft? I know a guy in glasgow that did an install on both sub and glovebox he said it was 0.4cuft but after the sub displacement it was 0.3cuft unless he built the boxes very small.
  15. I best get it sold then! Anything you recommend? Other than the mrp500? Well you need to match it to the sub your getting
  16. errr... can you translate that please bud? Are you saying that AMP is pants? Nothing wrong with it, it's just very weak.
  17. 120wrms? i can fart louder than that. Fi Q is good. Anything by the big boys will be good. Idmax maybe?
  18. you want to be looking for what space the box is internally and then match a sub to that.
  19. no as said, its for jdm's that are triptronic. rocks forward and back for snow and power.
  20. Its toyosport or toyosport's mr grammer nazi. No you saying to someone that he car keeps breaking down cos he put on crappy parts when his orginal exhaust broke. I dont mind if i do buy crappy stuff as I always get it cheap. You say about people turning their zeds into sheds and hanging out with corsas? Just saying stones and glasshouses, and IMO no need for the bad langauge as yes it does wind people up as its being read it comes across as aggressive or being patronising. No offence, but you did. Perhaps you're right. Not everyone will appreciate the running cost of most cars, not just a zed. However, I honestly don't think that not 'maintaining' my exhaust is why the join between the two sections corroded. I would say it was more likely to do with being 6 or 7 years old, the British weather, road salts and it being made from steel. Oh, and I've only owned this zed a few weeks. If the previous owner had cleaned his exhaust more often then I might not be having to deal with this now. Now I come to think of it he did say he was selling it because he couldn't afford to maintain it any more... ...I take back what I said, maybe you were on to something! These thing happen to all cars, I've owned enough (race cars and others) to know this. If I had a Metro or a Masarrati I would still say my mantra 'stupid cars'! I agree that some things are cheap for a reason but I would also call any man a fool who believed just because a product cost him more than another, that automatically makes it better. From what I read about these toyosport exhausts they're good value for money but can require some modification. If you're up for that then a saving of 50% seems like a good idea to me.
  21. h dev for your decats
  22. your full of it? Where do you get off calling people a chav with your stickered up car. patronising much? You think you know it all cos you can quote zmanalex, he probably laughs at you as he counts your money. Do you have a priemum exhaust or are you running a scorpian same price as a k2 which is a toyosport. No offence, but you did. Perhaps you're right. Not everyone will appreciate the running cost of most cars, not just a zed. However, I honestly don't think that not 'maintaining' my exhaust is why the join between the two sections corroded. 23. Icarus has put 2 x 8" mids in boxes I'm sure in the Bose and glove box so rattling shouldn't be too much of a problem. Do you have any idea of amp location?
  24. I agree stealth for the win. I went with the under strut box because of the space. All 3 amps are where the old sub is. I think if you plan everything right you can get it in the orginal location. Obviously a custom made box is needed and a sub that works with about 0.3cuft or less volume in an enclosure that is. IMO IB is only good if you have no other options. Ivr heard some decent IB but they where expensive and a £100 sub and box sounded just as good if not better. As for the plastic rattling try to sound deaden the inside of the bit where the Bose sub goes. But really if you have it in the boot or behind you it will rattle a bit anyway.
  25. I take it you would be running it IB like the bose? If not make a box put a small 8"sub or 10" made for small boxes in and it will sound much better than that £400 one.
