  1. Cheers for the other responses. Do you know if it is a 2.25" or 2.5" and do you know how long it is?
  2. I can't weld though. Il be learning soon though but until then il have to rely on the garage.
  3. You can 100% get them in 18
  4. Hi guys, Need some advice. I have used good year gsd-3's on my clio and they where pretty good. Now I have the choice of going for some cheaper Vred's SESSANTA which ive used before and they are ok. Now the are ok and I dont have much to compare them too on the 350z. But I didnt get it on that long ago really and they already on 3mm. So My choice is vreds SESSANTA or goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2. The Vreds are about £100 cheaper all in. Now what I want to know is 1. what gives better dry grip b. Which tyre last longer? The 350 is my daily and its mainly dual carrige way driving or some town driving. But if its dry and I want to take it to some B roads I still want some decent grip. All opinions are much apprciated.
  5. Hi guys, Car failed its mot on the broken flexi as its blowing. I have a japspeed Y pipe. Anyone know anybody near Dundee or Arbroath who can fix this. My local garage doesnt seem to keen on this as they say they dont have one big enough. I could even travel as far as Glasgow. If this has happened to anyone a rough cost on how much it would cost would be fantastic Cheers again
  6. sounds like some good stuff. Where did you get it from? ebay was my friend on this one. i tried something like STP or Redex before but it didn't do much. got reccomended the BG44k and i saw an improvemnt within 2 tanks of fuel. best to use it in a full tank, run it down to half empty and then fill tank back up, then run tank to empty and fill to top again. its alot stronger than anything else on the market. BG do a load of other stuff, not tied anything else but they do octane boosters as well; check out their website, i think you can order from there as well. my engine is 11 years old and had some miles on it. if you notice it on the zed i'm unsure. but the V8 certainly liked it. will probably run another can through again next year. How many treatments does one can give you?
  7. +1 WD40 is rubbish for lubricating things. Ferrosol is where its at. A proper penatration fluid.
  8. sounds like some good stuff. Where did you get it from?
  9. No that was octane boosters and their test was super flawed.
  10. I used some redline stuff about a year ago. Was about £6 said it had the highest temptetire detergents. Did it make any difference? Not that I could tell. But for £6 it felt like I had treated my car and felt like slight peace of mind. So can't complain.
  11. agreed drive both lock thread
  12. 370z with uprev and exhaust/intake would give it a good go though. 370z - ~340HP and 1,466 kg (from wikipedia and the fact my car dyno'd at 308WHP which add transmission losses of ~30HP) Z4M - 343HP and 1,495 kg (from some random article on Google) Would make an interesting race But then your talking stock vs modded, and if you read my post I was referring to the 350z, not the 370z, as that was what Rabbitstew was talking about also Im pretty sure though that its hard to get more power out of the s52 as its pretty much perfect already. Its making way over 100bhp per litre too. Where as the 3.7 isnt running as good as it could. I have heard some mild mods and your running 350-360bhp.
  13. If it's a good quality 10-40 and it's fully synth fine but I'm sure thus was standard stuff semi synth. Nothing wrong with 10w40 oil all be it Fully Synthetic. Abbey use it and preferred over 5w
  14. Tbh no one can tell you how it might sound and someone might say it's loud and somepeople won't find it loud. For £80 you should just go for it and sell it on of you don't like it.
  15. isnt paint 2k without "proper" facilities dangerous?
  16. The Zeds I have heard with decats have been LOUD I dont think a standard exhaust with silenced decats will be that loud personally. Also depends on which after market one you have too. Good price for decats though
  17. Nissan are prats. When I gave my car to them for a service they used 10-40. I got them to change it but Ive heard they do this alot. Saves them alot of money.
  18. At the end of the day it's your system and money but you don't seem to be matching the right box With your subs. If it's no compromise you should 100% be matching your sub with you front or you won't hear anything but bass.
  19. Orginaly it was a dip for tools and if you get the tin you can still dip it. But how many litres would you need to dip a wheel compared to spraying.
  20. If its JL you want then thats cool. I understand to some people looks of their sound system mean alot. I have an Fi Q sub and most people havent heard of them but they are awesome just alot less mainstream. You got to know whats what too. Its like detailing stuff if your new you like turtle wax and your hardcore people go for names you cant usually pronounce . What sound you going for boomer? SQL? SQ? Show? I have a zenenclosure but it needed slightly modding. That ebay one doesnt look great as it looks to me it will be firing at the back of your head. But it looks like it has alot of space plus it has somewhere showy to put your amps. Which speakers are you going to be running and how many. Active or passive?
  21. IMO You need a much much bigger box for that from 3 subs. Doesnt have what space the box has in cuft2. Im sure the subs need about 0.5 to 1cuft each not including displacment. Also thats gonna be very bass heavy unless you turn them down which there is no point in or it will drown out your speakers? Also is that 1200wrms per sub or for 3 subs? Lastly why JL stuff. Do you like it or are you a brand name lover? IMO better stuff out there for the money just less main stream.
  22. What colour and how you doing it? Black at the moment , im tempted with blue though since it seems to be a bit more glossy than the matte black option Just spraying it on the wheels , you can buy cans of the stuff and apply a few coats using about 3 cans per set of wheels with about 3 coats of stuff, then when your done with it just peel it all off. Im doing it as i always wanted black wheels and for £10 a can cant complain. Im getting a create your colour kit plus the 799 shine coating. Im thinning mine with toulene and spraying it with a gravity fed spray gun
  23. What colour and how you doing it?
  24. That's not really good tbh. It anyone says tu shouldn't have bought a Z for the mpg then il recommend them a 911.
  25. Is your direct injection? If your probably getting about the same if not better than the zed?
