  1. If you never drove the car really, never ragged it what fun did you get from it? Its a Nissan i think people forget what they are driving sometimes. But sorry to hear its going. Good luck with your business
  2. Ive found the boxster comparable in costs to the 350. Fuel they are about the sameish. Tyres they are cheaper with better sizes and less wear. Brakes I have found cost the same. Servicing is a little more expensive as its 8-9 litres of oil but then you do get a few more miles if you wish from a service. My 350 serviced from Nissan was no cheaper than the boxster S serviced from motortune in Shotts. The good thing about boxsters is they are fast, nimble and handlewell. They are pretty much spot on out of the box. the 350 needs modding to be on the same level but at the same time they cost much less as standard. Also a Nissan with 100k drives worse than a Porsche on 200k and parts are much much cheaper than 350 parts. Working on them is a hell of a lot eaiser too.
  3. Again 996's share about 60% of parts with the 986. A 911 only costs Porsche about 3k more to make. I agree with Rich. I really like my 350 I really do, love it infact. Doesnt mean its the best thing ever. I appricate different cars. I can look past my orange lit dials. Back in the day what made the 350 a winner was it was nearly half the price of a Boxster S. Also Ricey get a 3.2S if you can they are much better
  4. I think your making "character" up cayman and 987s are about 80%-90% the same. Boxster is probably one of the best convertibles out there. Less than a cayman too.
  5. Ever driven one? A better car than the 350 IMO. Engine is in a better place, Grip is great too. Much lighter too so more nimble and less harsh on tyres. Also you called someone who wants a boxster a retard. you cant even spell "boxster"
  6. Yes but that's like anything though. If use a hard pad and a real gritty polish of course it will go through. I can't even get the panel to heat up with a DA. How long was a while? I'm sure you will find that 99% of people never run into any trouble using a DA as they are so bloody slow. Rotary is where it's at. Think thats a bit extreme. With a high cut pad and proper polish you could do damage. I managed to on a test panel from an old banger with my Kestrel. Admittedly you have to go at it a while, but its certainly possible to burn through, especially with thin Nissan paint. With a low cut pad and diminishing cut polish you'll be ok though, just not too many hits, and dont try to get the RIDS out.
  7. Why not? The OP used a DA and thats impossible to do any harm.

    Can't work...

are you sure its nothing todo with your addication to ebay
  9. I agree I think the pre bulge gives a smoother sleeker look. As long as your happy with it
  10. +1, over a hundred quid a tank of v-power or 99 ron not many miles from a tank if enjoying yourself. 5.5k is a very tight budget, especially with the cost of things to go wrong. Id much rather spend 2 grand more as you will find yourself spending 2k on parts probably and start to regret it. 7-8k will get you a nice 53-04 model with lower mileage and well looked after. Not much really goes wrong and if it does it happens on most 350's. So its a risk either way.
  11. good on you for being different. Arent the eaton m45's abit small? people still using megasquirt ecus?
  12. Vote for who you like......this ain't a democracy don't let chesterfield hear you say that, we had a heated discussion over this a while ago Biscuit wasnt you a mod? Did you not do a good enough job to get a gold name? never made it; wasn't well behaved enough Mod dropout?
  13. That one is a japspeed. Im personally not a fan of custom exhausts as they IMO dont sound as good as exhausts that have had R&D costs for power and performance. What do you want, loud, subtle or in the middle? Do you intend to add HFC's or decats? Do you want a new Y pipe? How much do you want to spend? Hassan has the Toyosports exhaust fitted, I think it came fitted when he bought his Zed... Ive got a k2 now but 2 and a bit years on its falling apart lol. Cant complain as it was cheap. Never said the toyosports are bad but they could be. Its a gamble. A few people like myself and Hassan get decent fitting ones I know some people dont. Japspeed arent very good customer service wise crap infact. If he wanted something like that I would get a Scorpion off you as A. Ive used you in the past and customer service is deffo a plus point. B. Lifetime warrenty you cant really beat that for the price.
  14. Pink wheels, pink wing mirror and pink lip. Sounds like im taking the mick but it will look awesome!

  19. Im sure on 06+ you need a mrev2 for decent gains but on a 03+ it makes a big difference anyway. Are you sure you fit it right? No air leaks?
  20. I thought he had coilovers? Ive got eibach as do a few other members, I dont have any pics but other people might post them up. One thing is speed bumps are a no no. Your car will sit pretty low. On smooth road they are fantastic but they are a little jarring on uneven or bumpy roads, but mines is a JDM and I have cusco arbs
  21. When you say G35 are you meaning only g35's or have you been looking at v35 skylines? Im sure they are about 6k. I say e36 m3
  22. Vreds have awesome grip for the money no doubt I just think the compound is too soft. Mine havent really lasted too long and I dont rag it around either.
  23. In every thread you slate it yet you never state if it was you or a garage who fit it and what year your car was. Also agree with tarmac your giving a sub 30k car way more credit then its due, I agree its better than the sum of its parts but its not the optimal is it?
  24. plenum spacer is a decent proven mod. What year of 350 did you have?
