  1. There is a guy with a ls2 turbo I think and he cant use more than 1/2 throttle due to traction. Sometimes I think people get caught up chasing numbers.
  2. I'm needing some help please. I need 2 or 3 12v pc fans for cooling a control unit. Its not in a pc and I cant get a normal pc powersupply to it. Nerdy bit... Now I need a high cfm fan. I used to have a delta fan and it was awesome! On full blast it would cool my pc down great. ( I needed a good fan as my old case was rubbish) But now there are pretty expensive and the Scythe Gentle Typhoon's seem to be the high cfm fans of choice now. Are they any higher cfm cheaper fans out there? I also need a fan conrtoller as sometimes the control boxes wont be used and I would like to be able to control how fast the fans are going as I intend to get the 5450rpm model . Also I cant remember how it works do the fans plug into the fan controller and that dishes out the power or do they plug into the fan controller but you put something else on the wire so it plugs into the fan controller and it gets power from a molex adapter. Non nerdy bit... So how can I wire up a fan controller and 2/3 fans with no pc power supply unit. There is already 1 ebm papst fan in it so I'm sure it can be done. The ebm papst fan is very far away from where the other fans need to go btw.
  3. Maybe they arent plugged in? CS pm Mitz, he is in Leicester (i think) but if I was down the thats the only guy I'd let near my car.
  4. Thats to use your brake pedal for maps. All switching I have seen is with cruise control buttons.
  5. I tried search ''up-rev'' ?? Nowt....lol I was thinking more along the lines of ... Differences between the programs the user selects through using Cruise button.. Im told you can select different throttle maps for the auto's...? The auto already had different throttle maps, snow, normal and power. I assumed most auto's didnt have cruise control but I could be wrong. Yes i think your right.. If no cruise control then use the brake pedal instead to tap thro maps.... You have a link to this? I've not heard of that personally?

  7. Delete this post before Lexx finds you and rips your head off and sticks it on the front page with a note saying beware of people who dont use the search. Its a software that allows your car to be remapped. The 350z with bolt on parts will not gain much power. It has to be remapped for all the gains to be made, Uprev.
  8. I can't touch anything too soft. I can't touch fleecy material or soft silk. I can't wear new socks as they are soft I have to wash them a good few times first. I can't touch cotton wool either. Anyone know what this is called bar being weird. It's horrible Its making me feel bleh. All insects.
  9. If the pump is driven by belt and you really thought it was too heavy you could over drive it maybe?
  10. I think it's a good thing. Yes it's been on track but it's a sports car they where designed for this. The vq is a pretty reliable engine. Also the guy fitted an oil cooler so he knew what he was doing plus he was protecting the car.
  11. Ok? I already have a rotary. I find the da slow personally although for less corrective work a da is fine as its gentler. Try a softer backing pad. Also the silver storm is abit industrial IMO.
  12. erm ..... why ? +1 Dont know whats with that face, but yes a rotary is faster on German paint. My full post also recommended a da with the megs microfibre 2 step system.
  13. Awesome! Alot of blood sweat and tears must have went into that. Although 4wd would have been my preferance, rwd if he was a nutter! If that was my car I'd hide the intercooler and change the bonnet to OEM and then I would be king of the sleepers.
  14. Your getting that because of the tugging and pulling. Try shaving with a 2 bladed disposable and if its not getting close enough do 2 passes. You want to use as little blades as possible to get rid of the hair. If its ingrown hair then rub a dry toothbrush on it twice a day. If its burn then your razor is going to close and you have sensitive skin.
  15. Yes Modern blades cut and tug. So they tug the first hair and pulls it which the second blade tugs and cuts and then the 3rd and 4th do the same. This is why alot of people get shaving rash. Also does your fusion give you a much better shave than your sensor excel or mach3? Mine didnt. with a DE you shave twice to get the same effect but these blades are much sharper and only cut, no tugging. I would say lathering takes slightly longer than gel or cream but it does a much much better job. You need a badger but ideally a SUPER badger brush. From worst/cheapest to best its Pure badger Best Badger Super Badger Mushroom,Mushroom! Silvertip The better brush's lather better, hold more and are made of a better quality of hair with less. Badgers hair naturally holds water hence why its used. Synthetic and Boar brush arent as good. The cheaper brushs also feel prickly or sharp where the better ones are smooth and soft.
  16. There is other sites but this one is usually cheap. A 38c or 38s or a 43c if you perfer a heavier razor. They are long handled ones http://connaughtshaving.com/merkur.html You can get short handled ones but I found that the heavier ones shave better and feel better but you have to be a tiny bit more careful plus your less likely to "out grow" them. The small ones are excellent for learning with though like the 33c. So thats £35 call it. Then your blades I would start with Derby Extras, Treet platinums, Trigs, Treet durasharp carbon, gillete 7 oclocks and feathers. £20 Then some taylor of old bond steet cream in sandalwood £10-15 get a couple A brush you can get from shaving shack spend at least £25 on the brush ideally £40+ for a great one though. Then an alum block, brush holder, big ceramic cup for mixing the lather ( I got a massive coffee cup and ground the handle off it) and a piggy bank. I put all of my used blades in the piggy bank. Im not really into serims and creams but if you are then maybe Stew can help. I use cold pressed coconut oil. Works great. Also check this guy out http://www.youtube.com/user/mantic59?ob=4&feature=results_main
  17. Does the HR not have knock detection to the red line. If so its still not ideal but any damage would be minimal and not noticeable on a 20k mile car.
  18. Don't get a slant for your first time. They are more aggressive and need to be treated with care. You could be fine but if you cut yourself it might put you off. Try a small handled one first you could get something bigger but just he careful. I just find I shave usually when Ive woken up (half asleep) and I'm still ok so they are ok. Just knw the blades can slice through paper and you will be fine. I just find too many variables and adjustability would never leave me happy. If I had the knowledge and time to experiment I might be ok but I found it like my dads old S class. The seat had so many adjustable bits that I was constantly tinkering but never comfortable because I kept changing it. I a normal car it's forward and back and that's fine I know what you mean about the stands they are crazy money. The futur is a good looking razor though. You will love the feathers though they are smooth and sharp.
  19. Do you do anything fancy like stretching or j hooking? I find that you need a good "prep" to have a good shave.
  20. We use double edges safety razors. For 200 bloody sharp blades it's about £12 so when it starts to dull its so cheap to change. That's you pretty much sorted Stew. How many Passes do you normally do?
