    GT without rays

Alot sharper and the car is more nimble. IMO.
  2. My car is lowered and I run rays. I have adjustable front and rear arms just so I can put everything into spec. My arms give 2.5degrees of movement I'm sure. There is also superpro bushes which can change your camber I think.
  3. Yes I know Installation is much easier on manuals. On an auto the whole front end needs taken off so you can get an impact wrench in there. Needed a puller too. But it wasn't that bad I suppose. Manuals can be cranked with a bar lodged in place and you can lock the crank by putting it in 6th. The pulleys also look great compared to the old ones and the feel like they are made to last.
  4. Not sure you seen my last post, ive bought the kestral just waiting for delivery, but need pads, does it use the same as the g220? Thanks Yes, try the microfibre megs system if your new or check i4detailing for pads

    GT without rays

I applaud your desire to be different, there can't be many Zed shoppers on the look-out for a car WITHOUT Rays I prefer the look of the standard wheels to the Rays tbh though of course Rays are lighter etc. Still think the standard look better though! +1 I think the rays look pretty rubbish. BUT when I put them on the benefits of the lightweight wheels really come out. So much so Im prepared to have an uglier car that drives better. I'd maybe only ever buy lightweight wheels now as they are worth it. Its a shame the normal wheels weren't forged though I think they suited the car.
  6. I fitted the AMS pulleys to my car last week. Now I have an auto so it may differ from your car and installation was much harder than if you had a manual. The AMS kit comes with 3 pulleys. Crank, Alternator and Idler. So after ages of fitting them finally put everything back together and started it up. No belt squeal which I had before for about 3-4seconds. Blipped the throttle nothing really changed. Everything was the exact same. Alternator was charging how it should have been as it is only lightweight and not under driven. So got out of my drive way not expecting much but WOW! big difference! The throttle is so so so much lighter and responsive. Its like the engine just wants to rev now . The rev needle climbs very quickly now. Between 1-2krpm it takes away that sluggish and lethargic feeling. Now it feels perky and alive. It can catch you out if you aren't careful. Just driving normal there is still a difference less pedal pressure is needed to accelerate and it does it with less effort, making the car feel even more powerful and torquey. Because the throttle is much more responsive it makes the car feel lighter. I know it inst but it feels more sprightly it takes away that slight delay before the car goes. You also have more control over the throttle now as it feels less "all or nothing". I find it more enjoyable driving day to day. I don't really think this mod has a downside really. Decats give you more power but usually higher up the rev range and a spacer gives you more mid range but honestly I feel like this has made the biggest difference. Usually to feel mods you need to really drive the car so on a b road blast you can feel this or tell its doing that but with the pulleys they just work and from low rpm which is great. The old OEM stock pulley was very heavy compared to this one. Like 10-20 times the weight. The ALT pulley is tiny but the new pulley is slightly lighter. I also removed the top idler pulley as it does nothing and I run the same belt as a Rev up but my car is an 03. But with the kit you can change this to a lightweight pulley. So basically I really rate this mod. It makes a big difference even going 60-70mph but not accelerating hard. Day to day driving is nicer and it makes the car more responsive. I havent drove a 350 with a throttle controller but I have other cars and it feels similar to them but this is a real gain. About the same cost too if I remember right. Doesnt really come with any downsides TBH. One thing is I dont think you seem to gain anything above 4-4.5krpm though. Also "gain" is the wrong word as it cant really be measured on a dyno but the engine is spinning alot less weight and less drag and it feels great now. IMO I would put this next to plenum spacer.
  7. +1 yes its nice, but if they keep doing what they do 1. they will tarnish or ruin that shape as we will be sick of it 2. it gives customers nothing to upgrade to unlike lets say a 911 which is refreshed every few years and has a solid upgrade base too
  8. When I saw the title I was expecting something like all the big popular boys where smoking. I tried it due to peer pressure, it was pure boggin.
  9. On eBay now LINK It is currently sitting at 99p and it has less than 17 hours to go. You most likely will get a bargain.
  10. £20 delivered now or swapped for something?
  11. 7k You better hope they dont turn that spam bot on
  12. lol i've been to much smaller and weirder places than that. I once worked in a place called Dundee city center... that was really weird and people sing when they talk That's Glasgow? No one from or around Glasgow can say anyone else sings I still maintain its the best accent. I think we can all agree it's better than Aberdeen and up though? Furry boots comfy?
  13. No way Dundee is awesome. Fifers are weird il give you that, have you been to Kirkcaldy?
  14. My guess is if he can only get 29mpg out of a corsa vxr, it must be pretty much constntly on boost. You drive any car but a derv like that, there's no way you'll get good mpg. Not really I've heard they aren't great on fuel.
  15. I don't see why this is a long shot surely they are worth roughly the same? Love these cars.
  16. Basically East coast is for kings. West Cost had trainers hanging everywhere.
  17. What? That's stupid. A 911 has more power yet is still better on fuel. Of your cruising on the dual carriageway would you not want to get 40mpg rather than 20mpg? Don't service you car it will improve mpg and it your worried about fuel why would you do that? Also drove around with deflated tyres as that will reduce mpg. Keep your car at 5krpm too after all of your worried about mpg… How many miles do you do a year roughly? The 350z is an affordable sports car not a ferrari.
  18. I you can only use cellulose paints at home unless you have a crap ton of safety equipment to handle 2k or is 2k commercial only?
  19. Il give you that some of the accents the posher ones aren't to bad. But even "normal" people have that accent. We get alot of them over on the east coast this time of year as we get this thing sun so they all pile through here. It's still funny though. My brothers wife's sister in law she is from outside of Glasgow but we still rip her accent.
  20. LOL!!!!! Epic failz Happy birthday Biscuit.
  21. The worst thing about Glasgow is the accent though. Yuk! Here pal geez a tin o ginger or il smash ya jakey. Horrible horrible accent. Nearly as bad as the aberdonian accent Also most people have this nasley whiney thing going on too.
  22. I do the same sort of driving as the op 95% dual carriage way. Sometimes it annoys me that the car is abit crap on fuel but when it's sunny it makes up for it.
