I would love the car but I simply can't justify that much for a car. As I spent the last several years living and working in the African bush I'm starting fresh in the UK, new car, new job, no savings (therefore car will be financed) and not the best paying job! Really, I'd like another VX/Lotus but it's just far beyond what I can justify at this point. I was initially only looking at spending about 5k on a car until I saw the prices the zeds were going for. I know you say you dont want to pay extra for Vik's car but its only across the water plus I bet you any car you will see wont be in as good condition. I wouldnt say 20mpg combined or 15mpg round town more add 5mpg on both and your about right. If you really really really really really really really really cant afford Viks car I'd go for an early import with Brembo's. They can be had for 5ish usually.

I'd keep it in summer constantly. Otherwise your taking off in second. It doesn't offer anymore comfort.

I'd change the oil yourself IMO its super duper easy. There is no dipstick so when you put in the key press the reset button 3 times when on the tempreture display. It will show you the battery voltage. Now scroll up till it shows you loads of info including the oil level. Turn the key once and then scroll back to it and it will show you in litres what you have. This is only accurate when cold and level though.

No LSD but traction controll actually works in these cars. I don't think the car is getting hot enough tbh. Even then 30 would be way off the mark 25 would be the best

I had a hks rep. It was loud but it was very bassy boomy and typically "jap". Not the sound I was going for. I like the Ferrari-ish noise. Deep but not too deep and a lil bit of rasp. You could drill holes but not he sleekest method but free. I looked into Some sort of ollettle mod I'm sure that would be possible. Electronic cut outs could work too.

When your spending 30k on a car. Are you guys paying cash? I don't think I could ever spend more than £15k on a car. £15k to me is expensive. Even at that price there is a hundred different cars I want.

I think you have to change pretty much all the dash. Tbh the old ones arent bad at all. Interiors as long as comfortable don't bother me. I like the 350 though its focused and cool IMO.

I used to run 235/40/18 on the front with 245/45/18. No TCS light. I now run 225/40/18 245/40/18. They are way cheaper and there is a difference in the weight of the tyre too.
