  1. "if you mess up it needs to be WETSANDED OUT " Damn.......may have to rethink my sealant choice Just don't mess up. You have to remember its a semi perminant coating. I'm not sure about this wolfs stuff but other hard sealants are like this.
  2. Nanolex or nano something do something very similar. You need to apply it with a heat gun usually. If you mess it up it needs to be wetsanded out but it should last a long time.
  3. I dont think so. Just beacause of a 1cm difference you nearly spun out. I drove a good 10k miles without a hiccup.
  4. OMG! You over exaggerate some. Ever second car you drive with this tyre or that setup was a death trap. The car feels good with 235's. Intact better as you can get better tyres. Believe what you will though.
  5. Around town yes but Mercs can really hustle ok b roads. There soft suspension actually helps on b roads. I used tiptronic on my dads S Class for about 3 mins and realised it was more bother than it was worth! Flicked back to manual and I've never touched the buttons on the back of the wheel again!
  6. stiffening/rigidity brace I think.
  7. Have you tried it? Also a far better range of tyres are available like goodyear f1A2's.
  8. Use trip tronic its even more fun!
  9. According to some people on the forum you would not be alive because of mixed tires. Mixed tyres will kill you as soon as you start your car.
  10. +1 a lot of garages would worm their way out and blame you.
  11. So from having a duff radiator and a over filled box the garage gave you a duff radiator and a underfilled box. at least it's getting sorted and no major damage has been done.
  12. Nothing to do with Bridgestone being a Japanese company that strikes deals with car manufacturers. I'm not saying bridgestones are bad but just because they came standard means very little. A good while ago there used to be 2 tyre companies in f1. Michelin and bridgestone. Bridgestone where favored by Ferrari even though the Michelin tyres where better. Bridgestone then got the sole rights to be tyre supplier for f1. Why does Renault recommend elf, Porsche Mobil 1 and so on. Why not fuchs super slipperly titan goalith race s type R oil? Sponsorship and business deals.
  13. So there was water in the system? There was ...the rad had failed thats why the rad is being changed Ok, will filling the system back up with ATF get rid of the gylcol issue?
  14. So there was water in the system?
  15. Plastic usually looks different in pictures compared to the body. I dont know why.
  16. Youtube some vids on it, it seems a faff to me personally but if it appeals to you check out shaving shack for some prices and the badger and blade forum to see whats good and whats not. The good thing is expensive isnt always better.
  17. Its not really a friction plate like a manual car though I know there is though. Usually the TC is effected but the glycol issue and is the cause of alot of failures.
  18. Have you used a cut throat before? I'd personally start with a slant and work your way up so you get a better understanding. IMO the cut throat offers no real advantage of shaving unless you like stretching your skin constantly or want the closest and harshest shave possible.
  19. I know yours is a track car but in day to day driving or your work car/van have they never run mixed tyres front and back? Im not arguing its not the best setup but its hardly a death trap. 452's are good. not the best like ps2's or MPSS but they are more than adequate. They wont kill you. They are very grippy for the money and progressive.
  20. its not a clutch. its a torque convertor Which valves are they replacing?
