Are all the engine fuses ok and the fuse that comes of the battery? Do you have a grounding kit? It does sound like a lose ground but I dont know.

That exhaust is clean! I like bilt hamber clay personally but I dont think there is massive difference between them. Remember lube though. Either something like born slippy or shampoo/last touch in a spray bottle.

but if you add all those extras on the zed it doesn;t make it as accurate comparison price wise to the gt86 as that lot would put the zed over the 30k mark. and the porsche they used was half that at 15k. i'd save the 15k over the zed and go 2nd hand cayman S with all the trimmings. you could put 5k in the bank for repair work and still save 10k on the zed. Cayman S's are 15k now? I'd still a boxster personally roofdown driving is great fun.

I've got some ratchet ones with the v grove. IMO it works better. I also don't trust the little pins on them axle stands. Always try and use the jack as a final safety point though.

986/996 don't have many serious problems bar IMS. Parts are way cheaper than Nissan more widely available too. There is a garage down there that charges £35 an hour. Proper Porsche tech aswell I think it's one half of Porsche apart.
