  1. JDM triptronics have power and snow mode here Nope. This has been discussed on here loads in the past. The roadster roof button is actually down near the drivers right hand knee - near the filler cap release. The blank button next to the heated seats isnt used for anything. My UK Zed was fully loaded and I still had a blank button there. On some JDM cars apparently this button is where "snow mode" button is.
  2. Dblock

    Mark up!

You sold it for 3.5k? Even with the duff box I'd have taken it for more
  3. That is bloody shocking +1. The do know Obama runs the country? This is why the Us sucks compared to here.
  4. Awesome! Did the the guy who asked to use it look like the newspaper guy from spiderman?
  5. How much do you want to spend? Polyu bushes or coilovers, control arms, rear camber arms, anti roll bars, adjustable anti roll bar links and bushes for all of them? With suspension it doesnt really work like that. What do you want to do and how much to spend. E.g. ARBs will make the car flatter when cornering giving you more confidence. Generally harsher when going over bumps. I dont have coilovers but I should have but with lowering springs the car is lower, looks better and handles better but again its harsher ride quality plus you need rear camber arms and front control arms to bring your suspension back to oem geo if you want that. Poly bushes would be your best bet but they will only move the weakest link IMO
  6. Dont think anyone in Scotland actually offers this service but also think they stick out past the arches so it wouldnt make a big difference either I may just need to roll with some breeze blocks in my boot Why cant you lower it? Do all the lowering springs lower too much or something else?
  7. If you go to a dealership. A Porsche is cheaper to run than a 350z. Parts are cheaper and servicing done by an indie is the same or less. But its not the 350z we are comparing against, its the cost of maintaining an MX5 or the like which are much cheaper. Ahh good point.
  8. I have a 172. Awesome cars. The Clio is more fun and chuckable where as the megane is faster and more refined. Mpg on the meg will be comparable to or worse than the 350z I've heard but will be better for long mile munching than the clio. The meg with a remap will be very quick where as the Clio is fast enough to have fun but will be obviously slower than the meg. Clio is 3 door also which might make things hard?
  9. Most Nissan dealerships will fill the car with 10-40. When I buy a car I like to change the oil. Then drive for a few hundred to 1k miles then change again. It lets the oil clean up the engine gently.
  10. I was just quoting power upgrades but suspension is a whole new ball game too. SMD it's not that manifolds give little gains. They actually give one of the biggest gains but £ for bhp it's poor due to high cost I didn't go FI as I like the car to be decent on fuel as its my daily but I can't stop tinkering with it. Plus FI is major money.

  12. Also removing weight will help. But it's small gains.
  13. A good service always help I feel. I think lightweight pulleys are great but not many people run them. Try changing the profile of the front 2 runners on the lower collector. HFC and decats are good too. If you can get them done cheap manifolds are good too.
  14. Do you still need control and camber arms when going low on the 370? As obviously that would be even more. 1k? A drop in the ocean for you
  15. I dont know hence why I am asking but if the door seals kept the water out and it was towed away. Electrics was given time to dry and spark plugs removed then the engine was turned over would that work? Or do the seals not keep out that much water and if the battery was connected it would have shorted something out like ecu? Seals will be more splash proof than full on water proof. My guess is the insides will be very wet. Dont forget there are many holes in/around the footwell/bulkhead/underside. Its not just around the door and windows that it can get in Good point. I would be gutted p
  16. Cheers Doc and Keyser advice is much appreciated. Will tighten and hopefully that will fix it. Let me know if that fixes if Keyser providing the belt is on the same tightness. It's a pain as I commute quite late and a car screaming at 3-4am isn't good. I got some dodgy looks when on the way home and that was bad
  17. Waits for Lexx to hammer his face to pulp with a keyboard

  19. Its not just a drain though. Even if its been standing for quite a few day it still goes straight to 12v. If it was below 12v then it would be a problem. I've had a dead battery before and you are lucky to get even 8v. The alternator does charge the battery but the belt squeaks and when it squeaks the alternator doesnt seem to provide power to the car hence the gauge going back to 12v from 14.4v. Hopefully its just a loose belt. I hope its not something in the alternator thats starting to seize or something.
