  1. Syvec's maybe? Coming along nicely though, although it must be annoying with the hold ups but such is life.
  2. +100000000000000000. Which one of you is paying the most tax on fuel though? What about the 20% VAT thats slapped on that too? How about the 4 tyres a year she uses with another 20% VAT on top? Or the extra 2 services every year ........ etc. Road tax, even at £500 a year, is less than a tenner a week, think of it as a very reasonable parking charge
  3. I used to have it like that but changed it as 1 its boring 2 everyone does it and 3 it makes the wheels look smaller. But it does look good
  4. Don't worry mate I do it all the time too. Like you say your clocks are lit your lights are usually on. My last car had auto lights and that makes it worse I can remember driving along once when raining thinking crap wipers aren't working forgot they aren't auto too . My car is a JDM and I driver other euro cars quite often and go to flash someone and my wipers turn on, or I go wash my windscreen turn the beams on. You will get used to it thoug.
  5. Ordered Nankang sv2's for dads w211 so will have to see how they go but I've heard they are pretty good if they wasn't I wouldnt have ordered them. I used conti wintercontact790 on my Clio my brother used falken hs439 I think and I just ordered falken hs449's for the e46. All tyres seem good in winter the contis are probably the best but as the Clio runs 16's it was cheap enough to get them. Agree with your 4mm comment after doing a little research so no part worn winters for me. Mytyres seem to be the cheaper retailers out there at the moment too so thanks for the heads up. Out of interest, which ones did you go for as I'm thinking Khumo's as reviews on the Nankang SV-2's say their braking ability in the wet isn't that good (worse than some summer tyres according to auto express).
  6. I wouldnt bother with part worn winters TBH 4mm and they are summer tyres. I ordered mine from mytyres last week. They had 3% off
  7. I could be wrong but I think they are adjustable but very slighlty. If your lowered after market control arms are your best bet.
  8. I've used 235/40/18 with 245/45/18. I'm not on 225/40/18 and 245/40/18 now though.
  9. Fair enough I thought as much Driving a SC directly would still be more efficient than making electric. As the video said moving air isn't hard buy compressing it is. Maybe strap some wind turbines on the faster you go the more boost you get!

    Blowout....

That road sucks, there is potholes and crap on that road all the time.

    Blowout....

Thats sucks. Glad your ok though, just north of me. get the model name of the tyres or take a picture and put it up on here. It will most likely be fk452 or zeix912. I would personally just replace the one providing they are new but im sure SOMEONE might disagree
  12. Black bars? Thanks, it's getting there, Wana do some thing with The head lights maybe slightly tiny them. Might be my pc but above and below your picture are black bars.
  13. Imagine the hyper inflation that would cause when it costs £200 for a loaf of bread. The road tax needs to tax everyone even if they dont drive 1 mile. Imagine all the commuters etc out of a job. Post would go bankrupt, food supplies would stop and it would stifle our freedom.
  14. Its funny cos I just saw a picture with a sheet of metal costing £412.96. Its funny because it was in the basket.
  15. The black bars look abit weird but your car looks awesome!
  16. Theoretically no because the ecu will adapt to the new airflow and cancel out potential gains (apparently.....it's all voodoo me) Get all your mods done first then get a remap for best gains. You need a plenum spacer for best gains out of the remap - in fact best gains outside of FI. I would say manifolds are best gainers but £ for £ plenum is good.
  17. Halfords test station in my city is still the same staff as the old garage before Halfords took over. Good staff.
  18. The best thing for that will be conductive paint, paint that lets electric through. Are you sure its that that is the problem.
  19. Phil, who the F is Phil? Ermm As Ricey said. But with a cotton/foam filter it can be washed and reused rather than just binning so it can save you money in the long run ( depending how much an air filter is )
