  1. Yes they are Brembos, you need to get yourself down to SpecSavers lol +1
  2. Nice, I need to learn how to fibreglass stuff together. You can make so much stuff like that.
  3. Really I used to think the SXOC forum was "happening" this was about 5-6 years ago though?
  4. Looks ok to me G35 G35 plastidip
  5. A guy has already done this on his g35.
  6. Steve Meade is a ledge. Did he have the astra van? The "Ice man"? Box design can have a massive impact on how the sub sounds e.g. good sub bad box = disappointment and bad sub + good box design = decent sound. Good sub + good box = wicked sound. Porting an isobaric box can be hard and make it big, same with bandpass. If you really know what you want just get it or maybe try sealed see how it is and then maybe make the box bigger ( you could use wadding which would slow down the air and make the sub think the box is bigger but would knock off maybe 3db of) then you could port it or see what other people in their cars run? Problem with the Z is a funny shaped space.
  7. Yes, FI Q. This is the new ones that take 1500wrms. http://store.ficaraudio.com/q10/ I used to have a RE XXX v3 15" in a 4cuft box port tuned to 33hz running 1600wrms.
  8. Are you sure it was? Usually a nice sealed box with the right amount of cuft will give you a nice clear crisp sound. Was your old box ported? I agree with Mayyv6 though. I run a 10" with 0.6cuft sealed with 1200wrms and it sounds ok.
  9. It sounds amazing! ITBs on the VQ is super cool.
  10. Personally I'd ditch the rear speakers they are bad for sound stage and unless they are as good quality as your comps they will reduce the quality. Also I do understand Iso boxes need half the space but I find they aren't as smooth as sealed or good ported boxes. Low end is usually heavy and would you have it sealed or ported?
  11. Am evo with a sticky caliper?
  12. Did you notice it? I removed my rear speakers as I though it was a waste and the soundstage was wrong.
  13. I got mine for £10.13 only cos I know the salesman.... That wink, it makes me uneasy Agreed though £40 for wipers is stupid.
  14. Yes. I personally though the vreds werent great through puddles of water. The winter tyres really pump water out and you can drive through the puddles with no clenching. Normally your going along at say 70 and see a puddle normally you scream and go through it whilst hoping and praying. In winter tyres you can go through it. No tugging of the wheel and the car always feels in your control. Even in heavy rain bar soft sidewalls it grips and grips
  15. Omly problem is, my 18's have fresh vreds on them bit of a predicament now lol. Might be aswell just losing out this winter, burn the vreds down, get 19's and snow tyres for 18's next year. You could get 17" JDM wheels as the snow tyres will be slightly cheaper and they can be had for £100. A guy on here is selling snow socks. As you said Irfan you can feel the difference just when cold. I know you guys get alot of rain on the west coast but I found winter tyres very rarely aquaplane which is handy. 2 years ago I used the snow tyres ( that was the bad winter ) and it makes a massive amount of difference to driveability and safety. On my 172 I just used to change the tyres on the standard wheels as they are 16"s so cheap enough plus they where not in perfect nick. For my dads and brothers car they use their standard wheels aswell. For brother wifes car we change from 18" to 17" to protect the 18's and the 17" have winter tyres on them so when it snows I can just throw them on.
  16. I bet you will be fine on winter tyres. I will be running 4 rwd cars with winter tyres this year and I wouldnt have forked out if it wasnt worth it 1. for the ability to get around 2. to be safe whilst doing it. Honestly in snow or bad rain you will love having them and probably never drive again without them.
