  1. agreed I'm not sure how bad it got down there but 2 winter ago we started to run out of fuel and supermarkets where getting bare. Yeah panic buying never helps but come on we can get to the moon, make sunlight into electric and talk over the internet but in the UK a bit of snow and we are all doomed.
  2. I love Star Trek the next gen.Probably, possibly the best tv show made and I'm not a trekkie sort of guy.
  3. You live in sissy england though. Come to the motherland and give it a bash! Also I think RWD can actually be better in the snow as I find understeer is more likely to happen then oversteer. I personally think winter tyres should be made the law between dec-jan and that way no one can crash or skip work.
  4. I hate laquering as usually its thin and it runs. Shake cans for ages, time yourself doing it. Thin, very thin coats I have found stops running. Turn the can upside down and spray once your finished to clear the nozzle.
  5. She snoozes the alarm clock for an hour!!!!!????? He has a wife and HE does the washing up! Ironing too? Dude be single its all the same perks
  6. They do the same in these cross country rally things where your car isnt meant to be modified to much. The passenger just jumps up and down trying to get traction,.
  7. Where does it say their ethnicity? RIP to them and condolences to their families. A stark reminder of how fragile life can be and how dangerous driving can be sometimes
  8. +1 When we used to have a van for work. We would load it up so it worked in the snow otherwise wheel spin city. Although I do think putting winter tyres on it would have stopped some of the problems In the old days my dad said there was this massive hill near where he lived and 3-4 fat guys used to wait there and jump on peoples bonnets to help them get up the hill when it snowed. You need to watch with the trains as not last year but the year before most of them up here where off and there was a pseudo bus service instead. Apparently snow on the tracks but what good is a few flakes of snow when a 50ton train is on it?
  9. Not really you need the weight on the front
  10. It's going to be a PSY-lent Xmas.
  11. Agreed then. I thought you had an oem system. Bennet said it improved the note slightly. I'm got mine fitted all at once so I couldn't tell you.
  12. Tbh probably not but whilst your there it's done thing. I'd go for a stillen as there is no flexi's do no need to repair it when it goes. Or wait for a second hand one.
  13. I'm sure we all wish we has some skank on our bumper
  14. Do it! Petrol and insurance is only getting more expensive. If I could afford one I would have one. Not a 997 though I'd go for a 996 gt3. 997s are nice but I love yellow gt3s.
  15. I personally and this is IMO and what has worked for me when stuck in very cold/snowy weather perfer to take off in 1st but switch up straight away to 2nd or 3rd. I find the car lurches less and if you need a little throttle to get it going in 3rd or second to stop it from stalling its kinda pointless IMO. If you are going to use the brakes try to do it slowly and steadly e.g. like there is something soft under the pedal. Keep de icer a scraper and warm clothes handy too. The best piece of advice is if its snowing and you have got winter tyres double or treble the time you think the journey will take and leave early so you don't rush. If you don't have winter tyres maybe 4-5 times the time it would take. Keep your distance from other cars. Also look at the driving style and behavior of other drivers. See someone driving like a prat let him pass you so he can crash in front of you not into you. Make sure your screenwash is diluted properly. Try not to brake hard enough to activate ABS otherwise you will slide all day. But honestly honestly if its pretty bad and you don't have winter tyres, stay home or use public transport (if its running). I think winter tyres are great as before driving in winter was an @rse clenching experience.
  16. +1 I personally find that when it gets cold up here it can be cold for days on end. So even if the car is saying 3c the ground has been -1c for the last 2 weeks its still going to be solid and icy where you dont expect or see it. When I was driving to work the other day in the z the car just started squirming and I was going at 30mph, ice. Not saying winter tyres will be a million times better but the sipes and material definitely gives more bite on ice.
  17. They arent that bad and actually kinda look funky. A member on here dyed them red and it looked awesome!
  18. Then you suck. It was 0c and with pilot sports 3 my car felt very unsure and twictchy but I've been driving cars with winter tyres since it got cold last month. Shows why they are worth their weight in gold.
  19. I have got Falken Eurowinter 449s on the e46 and eurowinter 439's on the other car. They are great
