Using proper rubber has its own problems though like if you use slicks then you need a way of getting them there and back. Also r888's are expensive and only really work well when hot. You will also most likely need other things like a baffled sump etc etc.

+1, ABS is even worse though. Sometimes you tap the pedal slowly and it wants to cut in. No car I don't want to slide into a car 1mile away from me.

I could get up that no problem with my winter tyres. Like no problem. I could even come down the hill without sliding.

I personally turn off tcs in the snow as it causes more trouble then its worth in the snow. Cutting acceleration when you need isn't good.

Oh I used to watch Next Generation, Voyager and Deep Space 9 religiously. Never got into the new reboot series though. See thats what weird. Can't stand voyager or deep space 9 or the new ones. Just hate them. The actors and story in the next gen where legendary.
