    An "An" will always be used when the following word starts with a vowel or a phonetic vowel, as "M" is pronounced "em", the use of the "an" is correct Cheers mate I thought it sounded wrong. I knew an goes if the word is a vowel but was unsure in this case. The intricate English language

    Not a clue. Do you also drive an m3? A m3? Do you say an m3 as m3 as its pronounced em-3 or is it still a m3? Sounds wrong a m3. An m3 sounds better.

    The forum seems glitchy ATM but I think admins on the case as a few other threads on the subject. They might know but chose to ignore it. Generally I find you can find a decent guy but he is always too busy and the crap ones you just need to put up with and point this stuff out to them. Knowing your stuff can help as some like to talk out of there rear passage.
