Y pipe is the same for all 350/370Z,s. Mark
-
Ask to see a dyno graph , cause all the cars I have seen with exhaust dont give any increase until we tweak the maps. Mark
-
Whats this mean?
-
We will be able to supply Stillen Equipment direct from Stillen very soon. Sure we will be able to complete with people bringing in the stuff direct themselves and provide back up if you have any troubles. Mark

yes they sound awesome, thats why it is still fitted to my JDM.

The DC system just seems to cause a drop in midrange torque we have found ( I actually run one of these on my JDM car) I have cars with indentical mods as cars with DC systems on and they all give more mid range torque. The HKS super sound master isnt full true dual is connects to a stock Y pipe so you get the full scavenging effect from the connected headers, The copies thou we have found have inferior silencers causing bad flow, I think the pipework Diameter is smaller as well than the genuine HKS systems. I still think you cant be a set of de-cats ( resonated or not ) XYZ with race cat and a stock UK system and a remap, this sounds real nice without being raspy or loud. Mark

Group buys ( I wont do these on UPREV reflashes)
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Mark@Abbey m/s's topic in Abbey Motorsport
Presume you saying it has been mapped with the unichip set up that comes with the APS kit, a run on the dyno to check everything out will be £100-00 inc vat ( 1 hour on the dyno) But I know the car will be very very rich on boost. -
Kev, will look into shipping dates and let you know Chris, your car will be very rich if your just running rear exhaust section and air intakes. If you remove the front cats ( 370,s have 2 sets of cats just like a 35GTR) most systems remove the rear cats , the car will run dangerously lean. But a fully decatted car gives real good power we have found with a good map

Your car will lose power/torque running one of these.

Group buys ( I wont do these on UPREV reflashes)
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Mark@Abbey m/s's topic in Abbey Motorsport
Chris, I said I WONT do a group buy on the Uprev reflash. With regards dealer uploading new software < I do have my finger on a pulse at Nissan , there has not been any upgrades on the 370Z,s yet. But the only way to definitely get around this is to unload the map prior to service but this is a pain. The bonnet light problem is being sorted; damn UK cars!!!! -
I have just been asked to do a group buy with the Uprev reflashing I am afraid these are trimmed to the bone with regards any more disount we find no 2 cars are the same so you cant just upload 1 generic maps. We will give you a before and after dyno graph. Normall it take 2 + hours to map each car some cars take even longer but we still charhe the same price 393-50 inc vat, this also includes the Uprev License. Which if you change cars we can reflash your old car back to stock and you can take your licensce with you to have you new car reflashed done a few with cusomters upgrading to 370,s already. You cant lose your map by disconnecting the battery , but if the ECU was fried you would have to buy a new license but i do keep all the maps so you wont have to pay for a reflash. FI cars are different we charge £250-00 for the license + approx 5 hours dyno time to map so approx £500-00 dyno money. If you come back for some more dyno work I will only charge you for dyno time which is £100-00 inc vat. I have tuned 10+ FI cars and over 70 N/A cars so we have quite a lot of data for what works and what doesnt work. any questions fire away. Mark

I can do a good deal on HKS or Stillen. HKS have no stock at the moment thou. The Janspeed is noisy where as the HKS/Stillen sound awesome. Had a 370Z on the dyno yesterday with resonated de-cats and Berks system and Stillen long tube filters, what a lovley sound and lots of ponies....

Stoptech 2 piece rotors are very good and cheaper than PFC rotor set up. I wil get some prices you lot for Stoptech stuff on here tomorrow , should be able to sort a good deal.
-
depends what you want from your car doesnt it, with regards trim and light etc etc. The HR motor is a gem of a unit awesome when tuned. everyone has there own ideas with costs etc etc but it make an awesome car when done, my JDM car will be like this when it is finished as a track car.
-
have you driven a tuned 313 bhp car thse totally blow the early models away with torque/bhp and revs. the conversion just bolts together no major work at all. nice n easy. Not a sif it is a engine from another car , you can even change the log book to the new CC. funny how people with comment with out actually having knowledge on these type of jobs.

"Consult" hardware and software, anyone got it?
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to slimjim's topic in 350Z General
have you started the car with the MAF disconnected this will cause both those CEL,s , disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes this should cure this problem ( make usre you do reconnect the MAF 1st thou) -
your need the following Engine and gearbox ( inc air flow meters/air boxes cats to go with car) Engine loom and Ecu Dash ( clocks) as the rev limit is much higher for the 313bhp cars and a bonnet If you have a 276bhp car and buy the stuff the right way it is cheaper than trading the car. Mark

well I have got it , the Z disease....
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Mark@Abbey m/s's topic in Abbey Motorsport
yep lower spacer as well , see if they do what we think they will do to the torque curve. Cars only been usable to last few weeks been far to busy with customers cars to be able to work on my own cars. Next Project is turn the JDM car into a proper track car!!! Around 20mm I think , need to fit some stock 18in to get a ride height dimension the 19,s are bigger in Diameter. Front arms will be okay if your running on thetrack these cars needs +2 deg of negative to feel right , your just need rear camber arms and toe links. We will soon be importing some super trick 350Z suspension parts espec for track work cars. -

Been a while but I never get any time to work on my own cars , My UK car is nearly finished to use. Just waitng for it to be 4 wheeled aligned looks like it will need rear camber arms thou to get the rear camber within spec. But Ia m pretty pleased how it has turned out. Still deciding weather to carbon wrap the roof and the Charge speed rear spoiler I have. Will get some better pictures once I have cleaned her up a little better Spec; UK GT spec car C-West front splitter, side skirts and rear skirts KW series 2 dampers Stoptech 355mm front brale kit Linea Corse LS2 19 in 8.5 Frt 10 Rr Motordyne Resonated de-cats,XYZ Y pipe , Uprev remap Carbon wrapped door handles Door mirror painted black de badged things still to fit Motordyne roll bar kit Plenum spacers HKS air filter Rear camber adjustable arms what do you think guys? -
I have a drivers side UK mirror , it is red thou , how about £100-00?
-
I have some handles , dont really want to sell them but you can borrow them while you paint yours.
-
David, if you are only going to lower the car up to around 10/15mm the stock adjust like Alex says should be okay. But why have the camber adjusted twice , you can just adjust the camber, you have to adjust the track as well because they work togetheri.e adjusting one make sthe other angle move. hope this helps Mark

Speak to Chase cams , they make awesome stuff and you can hire it for a day. http://www.chasecam.com/ Tell them I sent you, we use the kit in JB Project Zed , Your see some vids on you tube is you search for Project GTST or Project Zed
