  1. Yes tuned a car with Stillen long tubes fitted , was still very rich I ask the customer if I can put his dyno plots up before and after reflash. Also tuned car full de-catted as well , which made real good BHP. Mark
  2. yep not cheap , got all the stuff to do R35 GTRs as well.
  3. I do kind of agree , but the weight of the car is on the spring , take the damper off the car stays at ride height take the spring of the car will fall onto it bump stops. So this means the load goes throught he spring the damper controls the ocsillation cause dby the spring being compressed. Just had a look around a V35 which we have in for some work it does look a little more stronger than than a 350Z , but I have seen a Z fitted with Coil overs without strenghtening actaully move the inner wing. If you having or had a cage fittied tie the top mounts into the cage end of story. Mark
  4. Stock 350Z isnt really designed to run rear coil overs , the rear inner wing isnt designed to take the increased load caused by fitting a coil over , you have to strengthen the top mounts. On a stock car the top mount only take the damper load the spring loads goes into the car via chassis leg. You need to do a little fabrication to take the increased load caused by the coil over.
  5. The 370z which we have done a few already , dont give that a big of a gain with just fitting an exhaust and high flow cats , they run so rich after fitting these mods they are held back , the biggest gain comes from remapping , trimming the fuelling back adjusting the timing, then they start to give good gains. The stock car has 2 sets of cats fitted as standard when you fit either HKS or Stillen you remove the rear cats makes the cars sound awesome and with a remap make them give good bhp gains. We can get around the CEL problem by resetting the light with Consult 3 the dealer wont know we have reset a CEL either , we are just waiting for our Consult 3 to arrive. Mark
  6. NeilP , they are even a good road tyre we have found.
  7. The ferderal I feel is a better tyre than the 888 , works very good in both the wet and dry as the tread design is far better for water movememt and they dont fall apart in the dry. We run a pretty trick 32 GTR track car for a customer 550+ bhp Holinger gearbox Stoptech brakes AST suspension the car is as quick on Federals as it is on 888 Toyo and they are nearly half the price of the 888. When Federal bring out there proper trackday tyre like the 888 I feel it will be awesome infact I feel the Toyo 888 will be out dated then. The Hannok looks good, tread design , load rating and wear numbers look good.Price is very good as well. The T1R I feel isnt a good wet weather track tyre Alex , try a set of Federals you be a happy happy boy , the T1R has a road design base that doesnt warm quick enough to make a good wet tyre. If you want a real good wet tyre run a motorsport wet , as Mr Biscuit what a wet weather race tyre like , you have to re program your brain, corner speed and braking performance will blow you away. Any more questions re tyre and set up ask away, I have been around Motorsport for over 15 years , worked at Le mans for 7 years , spent a lot of time with suspension set up while in the Motorsport world.
  8. knocking noise , detonation maybe? was you running low on fuel when you added the injector cleaner? Do a ECU reset and make sure the ca rid fille dup with Super before running it again. But reading the problem I suspect a Air flow meter problem , Zmanalex can supply these as a good price at the moment.
  9. We can supply the key and program the NATS code into the key. PM me the chassis number and I will get a price to supply and code the key for you.
  10. I have a Red Z , dont a few mods to it as well, if you have a look around your find a picture of 2 on here. Best colour thou.
  11. I would say it would be due to removing the rear cats so aiding breathing of the exhaust , this will help with the response of the motor.
  12. Get someone that understand 4 wheel alignment to Set your 4 wheel alignment up.
  13. Try Bob @ RJN motor sport , he has been racing the 370Z for a while and I am sure he may have some parts. here is a link to the website; http://www.rjnmotorsport.com/ say Mark from Abbey sent you.
  14. Can I say my 2 pences worth , US fuel octane ratings as said above are different to our fuel. If you run a Z on 95 octane car your car will retard the ignition due to detonation , these cars run 2 ignition maps , high det and low det , normally you run on the low det which will have approximately 5 degree more timing. Full det controlis only up to 5000 rpm due to engine noise at high rpm and the ECU is unable to work out what is det and what is engine noise. The car will go into high det mode oif the car keeps hearing det , this will be reset once you turn the car off and back on , but if the car dets at high rpm you run the risk of detonating a piston or 2. Most people dont drive the cars hard enough to cause serious det damage but I have seen so slight det damage on pistons when checking out bore wear with a endescope. But tuning the car on 95 octane fuel properly is pretty easy , and with a few mods the car will perform better than a totally stock car. I wonder if someone could work out how much mileage you would need to do on 95 octane fuel to save enough to pay for a Uprev Reflash @ £393-53 inc vat agaisnt using 98 octane fuel we could use 25MPG as the ecomony figure. any more questions ask away. Mark
  15. hi from another Surrey based Z owner, we are all from the best area arent us Surrey boys and gals. ope you enjoy your car , I do like the roadsters , could even think about swopping my Red Coupe for a Roadster. enjoy and look forward to the sun next year
  16. I Dont think they know what they are doing, the car runs a returnless fuel system , the fuel pressure reg is in the fuel tank. Even if you did lower the fuel presure , the stock ECU will try to tweak the fuelling back to the stock AFR template. Zugara , the Stock ECU will always tune back to the stock AFR template , these ECU,s dont self tweak , if you change the exhaust or what ever part , if the AFR is not what the ECU it will tweaks the difference out , this is the AFR correction , when you reset the ECU this removes the fuellig correction but the car will again tweak the fuel back to the AFR template map. These cars always need the maps tweaking after fitting parts , the stock AFR template will need tweakingto get the best from the car. Glrnet was a happier man after he left me on Tuesday
  17. We can fit you in tomorrow , is the system fitted to your car the original? If so wont be a really quick job, but not major hassle? Mark
  18. If you fit a Popcharger and then have a remap you may not get any more top end BHP but we always make the mid range a lot more responsive and you even get a ca rback that is better miles to the gallon. I am not a lover of the popcharger but I agree the popcharger does make our cars sounds awesome.
  19. 28 mpg thats pretty good , Ian will be in touch later re NOS.
  20. evening nice car, definitely looks like a UK to me thou. enjoy it.
  21. We use Motordyne stuff XYZ Y pipe , as we can run a single race cat further back in the exhaust system so helping breathing and still staying 100% MOT legal when used with full de-cats.
  22. HR Y pipe is larger than a DE or Uprev car late 07 onwards , but a "good quality" Y pipe will flow lot more than any stock OEM Y pipe. Mark
  23. HR motor is the way forward.......
  24. Wasso Rev Ups never give the Power that Nissan quote. We find the DE,s give the best gains agaisnt a Rev Up motor.
