nope any extra area in the plenum helps breathing that enhances mid range torque.
-
plenum spacer always adds more mid range torque.
-
Okay that's good then. Isn't worth fitting a MREV to a DE.

Best sound per pound - Are HFCs & Plenums essential?
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Dynamic Turtle's topic in Exhaust
Dyno only shows full throttle dyno pull it doesn't show part throttle response, The Uprev main gain is the lower gear throttle response as well as the fueling and Ignition maps set up for the mods added. Running the HFC's always makes the car loose a little torque at under 2000rpm on full throttle but how many times do you drive a car like that , full throttle 4th gear under 2000rpm? Running without the plenum spacer will lose the normal gain in Mid range torque as well. Also the dyno plots isn't your car stock versus you car after fitting the Abbey Motorsport performance package, we fit the parts then run the car on the dyno with the stock car ECU map then remap the car. So it is a before and after remap dyno plots NOT stock versus APP ( Abbey Performance Package) -

Question for the mappers, mapped for decats running cats
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Arran's topic in 350Z General
we added timing to your map when you went De-catted. Balls in your court I am afraid . If you drop down I will flash a map across with the added timing removed P.S magazine article wont be happening it seems ;-( -
Question for the mappers, mapped for decats running cats
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to Arran's topic in 350Z General
A car with the cats removed will have more ignition added if the car has been mapped, refitting the cats will cause a restriction so it is possible young start to see detonation as the restriction will cause back pressure so slowing the flame path. Going the other way is never an issue with ignition timing will normally cause a motor to run leaner but as these cars are NA they are normally pushed towards the leaner area without being dangerous. -
We do a good kit for the 370Z comes with a nice duct so the oil cooler fits up behind the crash bar so it doesn't stop any air flow to the radiator and AC rad. Our kit includes and oil and filter change and uses a high flow thermostatic control oil take off plate; drive in and drive out price is £880-00 inc vat (parts/labour) Removing the front bumper will also require the bonnet lifter ECU to be reset as well. Any track work will require an oil cooler on a 370Z we also say a larger sump is a good upgrade as well , the sump is then baffled for oil surge and carries another litre of oil which is also a good thing. The stock ECU will put the car on limp home if it sees over 130 deg C oil temp and when the car is in the pits after a run it will heat soak to over 130 degree C. .

David, I have someone one the whole trim minus seats, just waiting for a deposit. To be honest I would prefer to see the trim complete. I am sure I will have the grab handle thou. Will put that in your car when we have you car in in a couple of weeks If you send me a email I will price these small parts up from Japan , they might be pretty cheap tbh. thanks -
Kinetix doesnt work on a N/A actually loses BHP/Torque we have found. Cosworth only works on N/A when revving higher than 6500+ rpm.
