  3. Dave no worries, anything further please ask away, will send you a couple of Abbey decals next week
  4. hi, well as you say it will only run with the CPS disconnected this leads me saying the flywheel is bolted on in the wrong postion; The cars ECU works out that the CPS signal isn't in the correct position or the signal isn't the correct waveform it will then read the cam signal and run the car on the cam signal, this will also stop the variable cam control not to work this can be also looked at with a good code reader. any questions ask away. thanks
  5. no troubles pleased the guys looked after you. thanks again
  6. I wouldn't say that TBH even the Nismo is super rich from the factory and a remap with Uprev makes the throttle response much more responsive.
  7. sorry thought it was my 350Z breaking thread , I apologies.
  8. [mod edit: This is someones For Sale advert Mark. No advertising your own goods on it please]

  12. Sorry to fetch up an old thread folks but a few days short of 8 mths from the date Of my bike accident I thought it was maybe time to tell fellow Skyline enthusiasts where I am in my recovery particularly as I have heard rumours of my permanent retirement! I suffered a fractured skull, fractured neck as well as several contusions/bleeds to my brain in a relatively low speed accident. I was lucky in that my son was following me and with the help of a passing fireman saved me from choking on my vommit and swallowing my tongue.... When the air ambulance arrived I was quickly diagnosed as having Traumatic Brain Injury and luckily for me was placed in an induced coma very quickly. This coupled with not having to have any intrusive surgery has unboutable allowed a remarkable recovery! So at this stage of my recovery I am back at work mostly assembling engines and general duties and have been allowed to drive again and therefore to sample the thrill of these wonderful cars which I have been sampling for 24yrs! I still like to talk to fellow petrol heads and some of the best therapy I have had is just that! So please drop in for a cuppa and a chat...I will be so pleased to. see you! Tony Gillam
  13. Jim, your normally looking around 2 hour dyno wok so £200-00 inc vat. Any questions ask away
  14. We got brackets in stock ready to go. Not at work at the moment so can't give a price. Your need 18in wheels minimum. Not a bad upgrade if your can buy the 370Z brakes at a reasonable price. Thanks
  15. Upgrade these bushes to Super Pro bushes, give better feedback under braking, never worry about the bushes again. In stock ready to go @ Abbey.
  16. The rev up motors do hang the revs after blipping the throttle. Perfectly normal
  17. sorry to jump in on this thread, what air con pipe small or large pipe? I have the larger one from a DE car.
  18. Long tube headers can't run any typing cats I am afraid. We find stock headers work well fit a set of good quality HFC's , long tube inlets will give better top end gains but will suffer heat soak in traffic. With all the above mods and your Akra exhaust your see some good gains around 25+ bhp from a totally stock car. Sure there are some Dynapack DYNO plots from cars we have tuned on here. Thanks
  19. How many pulls did the guys @ Wallace do? These cars need 5 and 6 pulls to settle down to give a reasonable output figure. Also ECU reset will help.
  20. Will, good to see you and Rosie on a sunny Saturday! Yes the Uprev remap seems to wake the 370Z up with regards throttle response and torque/power increases. Big increase in area under the graph. We also play with the throttle response maps which are switchable via the cruise control if the car has cruise fitted. Also thanks for the kind words re the GT86, they are very under rated awesome chassis as stock which can be improved on cheaply. I think it is an B road car small chuckable responsive and give a good return to the pilot when being driven well. Uprev costs for a NA 370Z tuned on our DYNO is £402-00 inc vat. We can remote tune these cars but we won't be able to garuntee the gains as we aren't tuning live. You will need to buy a Osiris standard cable to carry this out. Costs I will update here in a while. Thanks
  21. Driving Ambitions isnt the same company as CATD , but they both used Millbrook as the training ground.
  22. We are having a CATD training day at Millbrook on the 22nd March (Saturday) for our GT86/BRZ customers; We have 2 places left at the moment out of 6 places allowed for the day. http://www.catdrivertraining.co.uk/ Performance Driver ‘Track’ Day An action-packed day run by CAT Driver Training Ltd at Millbrook Proving Ground.. CAT Driver Training is run by Colin and Jo Hoad. Colin used to work for a leading motor manufacturer in the UK as a Vehicle Evaluator and Driver Trainer and has gained extensive experience and qualifications in driver instruction. This includes being certificated to instruct at Millbrook. His life has been spent working with his passion: motor cars - from racing minis to the race preparation of performance cars. He has much experience of vehicles on both road and track and brings a very different approach to driver enjoyment. The day is a fast moving experience for 6 owners and their cars to introduce the secrets of performance driving. It is designed to be informative, exciting and fun. The group size is purposefully kept small so that the maximum can be obtained from the day in a highly personalised environment. There is access to the 5 unique circuits at the renowned Millbrook Proving Ground, a venue that is not normally accessible for ‘track days’ and the general public. Activities designed for the different circuits are: • Learn ‘threshold’ braking from 100+mph on the ‘Mile Straight’ • High speed driving, potentially to the maximum of your car, on the banked circuit of the ‘High Speed Circuit’ • Drive the demanding ‘Alpine Route’ circuit with its hills, and variety of corners from hairpins to long and sweeping • Take on the tight, twisty and challenging ‘Handling Circuit’ • Put a car through its paces on the wide open spaces of the ‘Steering Pad/Mile Straight Apron’ An instructor will accompany you on all the circuits during your session, and the objective is to teach you how to get the best from your car and develop your performance driving skills in a controlled environment and at a pace you are comfortable with. Short presentations in vehicle dynamics will help you to understand the relationship between driver input and vehicle balance and control. From this comes the appreciation of how to safely drive your vehicle at ‘grip limit’ within the controlled confines of a track environment. At the end of the day, your new found skills can be put to the test in a timed ‘shoot out’ around a gymkhana-style course laid out on the ‘Steering Pad/Mile Straight Apron’. This will be conducted in one of CAT Driver Training’s track prepared cars (normally a Subaru Impreza or a Caterham 7). Included in the day are: • Professional in car tuition • Access to 5 unique circuits at Millbrook Proving Ground • Lunch and refreshments during the day • Timed end of day ‘shoot out’ in one of CAT’s track prepared cars • Full emergency services on hand all day • 1 hour 40 minutes driving time with your personal instructor Performance Driver ‘Track’ Day Schedule 08:30 – 09:15 Coffee, Introduction, Licence Check, Scrutineering, Safety Briefing & Objectives of the Day 09:15 – 09:20 Drive to Circuits 09:20 – 10:20 Mile Straight 10:20 – 11:30 High Speed Circuit 11:30 – 12:45 Handling Circuit 12:45 – 13:30 Lunch 13:30 – 14:40 Alpine Route 14:40 – 15:10 Understeer/Oversteer 15:10 – 15:50 Gymkhana timed ‘Shoot Out’ – Steering Pad/Mile Straight Apron 16:00 Presentation & Debrief Timings & Circuit order may be subject to change on the day depending on circuit activity Note on noise limits ... to quote me "there is no limit unless you are a Le Mans Prototype or an F1 car". If anyone thinks they can compete at that level on noise, be sure to mention it when booking! 6 participating members = £390 pp All prices include VAT at the current rate and payment must be made at the point of booking to confirm individuals places. Depending on the time frame for the event, this could be a 50% deposit with the balance closer to the event, or the full amount if within 40 days. Methods can be bank transfer or debit and credit cards but credit cards attract merchant fees of up to 3.5% of the value. Is anyone interested form this forum; let me know please. thanks
  23. Hi, Did we tune the car before on Uprev? If so I imagine around 2 hours max. If we didn't will need to tune from scratch so around 3 hours maximum. We are £100-00 inc vat per hour on our Dynapack dyno. Thanks
