I interested in the boot lid.
What's the price at the moment? Have you had it prefitted? Does it fit nice not twisted?
Could you deliver it to Aberden to Clark Motorsport for me if we can work a deal?
Thanks
Don't forget your diff cooler if fitting a LSD.
Had a track Zed in this week for a service one of the many cars we had through the shop this week.
Rear diff temperature over 160 deg C measured on temp tabs. One worn out differential!
Shorter ratio = higher number.
Longer ratio = lower number
Shorter = lower speed
A shorter final drive will make more torque at the rear wheels but lower top speed.
All the good traders, Cougar,Clarke,Tarmac and Abbey Motorsport will carry these in stock I am sure.
thanks
I apologise for not listing every trader on this forum.
Ecu has been damaged due to a garage cleaning the throttle bodies (opening the Throttle plate) without disconnecting the battery and disconnecting the ECU. The causes a feedback that corrupts the Idle calibration that is held in another EPROM that can't be re flashed using Uprev software.
Idle EPROM is reflashed to allow the idle control to work correctly.
Happy customer, we also have sorted out what causes the HR hesitation and using the excellent Uprev software we tune around this issue.
So please don't clean the throttle bodies on your HR or VHR without disconnecting the battery and Ecu.
Pleased we have another happy customer with a NA Zed tuned on Uprev.
Are you running SPL Front comp arm rear bushes? If so they will never be quiet. I use them on our heavy duty track cars/race cars and they are normally noisy straight away.
I would always use Super Pro bushes nice and quiet and will last forever I would say.
So if you don't have a donor long block motor you can ship to the US you have to pay the surcharge on the engine supplied by the engine builder.
The motor you get back needs all the timing parts swooped over.
Duty and VAT will need to be added to the parts used in the rebuild of the motor prior to importing the motor back in and if pay the surcharge you have to pay Duty and Vat on the long block as well as all the parts or the entire build if it is listed as a full build.
I doubt it will be half the price of a motor built in the UK. remember Andy was talking about a drive in drive out job not just a forged motor supply.
it isnt about how much fuel you can run it is all about cylinder pressure/ignition timing.
Running lower compression means you can run more ignition timing so you dont struggle with high Exhaust gas temperatures.
We lower the dynamic compression with a DE motor by playing with cam timing and increasing cam overlap.
no we thought it was restricted int he lower 3 gears but it is the response that is different in the lower 3 gears , as I say the elastic throttle cable is more stretchy in the lower 3 gears than in the upper 3 gears.
no trouble to supply Uprev cable and a good base to start with. As long as the car has wide bands fitted I can E tune the car via datalogging.
Although some people say they cant feel a difference a lot of people are very happy after tuning with Uprev.
PM or email mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk
thanks
Although the injectors test good re capacities the spray pattern isn't good
when we ran the car on our dyno and measure AFR on both banks you can see the car go lean on both banks in the below screen shot this corresponds to the datalogs from the car lambda's as well
other issue I have found that we think my be the cause is that the base fuel pressure is set very high.
After talking to a friend off ours that tunes a lot of VQ's in the US we feel the stock dampers cant cope with the high pressure , next job is to see if we can wind the fuel pressure down to the pressure we use @ Abbey when using the CJ fuel systems.
Hi,
only real way is to read the ECU this will tell you if the ECU has been programmed
If you email us the registration number I can look if we have tuned the car.
thanks
