  1. I seem to remember it was due to running stock JDM cars on the dyno before they had the speed restrictor removed, you can get to 6500 rpm in 4th with the restrictor still on JDM spec. I just carried on running all the cars in the same gear so we can load other cars data over the top and compare.
  2. We run in 4th gear on our Hub dyno.
  3. Nick, sounds like the guys @ EcuTek have done an awesome job , looking at the upgrades on the Ecutek software. Enjoy it mate.
  4. EcuTek is only for the 370Z. UpRev can tune all the 350Z's with out any issues.
  5. Sam you should have a email now👌 Mouthwash you will have a PM shortly
  6. Hang on I will ask someone for you. BRB
  7. The only reason i bought an exhaust is because of the sound, so its money well spent, wasnt interested in any minimal performance gains it might or might not give. You can always get good returns on selling exhausts too, so its not dead money so to speak One of my last times out at Castle Combe a mate was in his upreved 350z, there was absolutely nothing in it on acceleration. to drive away from someone your need 50+ bhp to notice a difference. but it isn't all about top end power is about an overall gains.
  8. misses out 75% of the numbers? I dont understand this Coldel?
  9. Gain in torque through the Rev range thou. We are never going to find huge gains on a N/A car. But together with the throttle restrictions removed in the lower 3 gears the Uprev is a reasonable gain for the costs as well as recalibration the time for the degradation of the vehicles sensors.
  10. We are booking end of May or 1st week in June depending on what type of work your needing not months away. Just seem to have got really busy with SC installs on Zeds. Also seem to be very busy with upgrades on the GT86/BRZ cars as well.
  11. All JDM cars can be lived map , the UK cars DE models cant be I am afraid so these take a little longer to tune as you need to datalog the tweak and reflash.
  12. You have a PM with prices Ben.
  13. No they don't list a bolt in harness bar but they do list bolt in door bars. 7 and 8 point D1 cages come with a harness bar. The 10 point Safety 21 come swith both harness bar and door bars which fit a car with standard doors interior panels still fitted. This is what I have fitted our Abbey Motorsport 350Z trackcar.
  14. Ben, Look at the picture/s tell me what cage you would like a price please, I have marked the one I have in my car. Both D1 Chrome moly and Safety 21 mild steel Also a list what they make for the 350Z. http://www.cuscousainc.com/vehicle-results.html?make=136&modelname=485 Once you tell me what you like I will get a price for you. Any questions ask away
  15. Roll Cage Certificate from my cage Fully legal to use if fitted correctly
  16. Bhp is calculated from the torque figure. So it's strange they say the torque figure is low but the bhp is correct.
  17. Good quality oils will help the gear change quality.
  18. Hi, yes I replied this morning on here. Did you ring and speak to Scott? I live in Reigate as well near to South Park. Where are you in Reigate? Welcome to the forum.
  19. Hi, yes we can sort a oil change no problem. We use Millers oil which is very good. We are not lovers of moly slip as the synchro's use friction to work properly if you add the moly slip this can undermine the works of the synchro. Feel free to give us a ring @ Abbey to discuss further. Number below Thanks
  20. The reason to use a fuel return system to keep the differential fuel pressure the same once the car is on boost. Base fuel pressure is around 50/52psi on the stock 370Z with a dead end fuel system as fitted as stock. Once you add FI when the car is running boost the boost pressure lowers the fuel pressure i.e if the car was running 11psi of boost the fuel pressure would then run at 40psi this can cause issues with atomisation of the fuel through the injectors. Running a fuel return system allows the fuel pressure to remain the same as the rising rate fuel pressure regulator adds fuel pressure in relation to boost pressure. The more boost you run the better it is to go to rising rate fuel return system as more boost pressure lowers the base fuel pressure. You can tune a FI car without a fuel return system the fuel calibration map looks funny as you need more injector duty cycle at high rpm/load as the fuel pressure isn't increased with boost pressure. EcuTek and Uprev will tune the car fine I feel with both the dead end fuel rail and rising rate fuel return system Ecutek does a few different things than the Uprev but they both retune the stock ecu to run FI. Hope this helps
  21. There are other software tuners that can generic reflash the Zed ECU. They can also turn off DTC codes but normally the tunes have to be sent from the software main office. The Uprev can be tune lived or via logging and tuning (early 278BHP UK cars only) while on the dyno the ability to tweak without waiting as well and the ability to remove the license and tune if needed. We can even tune via E tuning if needed , this will require the car on a dyno (or road logs) and a Uprev Standard car/license to be purchased. I am still looking at travelling to Scotland to tune cars just need to get some definite dates and booking sorted. thanks
  22. They are certificated just looked at my car. The plates need welding in under the car line all proper approved cages. The through dash Cusco cages work real well far better than the dash dodgers cages that I know are certificated as the way the front legs bend around the dash make a weak point. In a ideal world if I was building a full race car I would have a weld in cage but the Cusco cage fits lovely I did spend time cutting all the interior trims around the cage and does the job we need a a track car for my wife to use and me to occasionally have a drive. Will get some prices next week. Thanks
