  1. speak to Julian at https://www.facebook.com/pro4mmotorsport , great chap , does some good stuff with car. thanks
  2. Your need to wire the oil pressure sensor into another voltage input and reconfigure the CAL to allow this to work. We would use the Rear lambda input to configure the Pressure sensor to input data. Pressure sensors are normally 5 volt supply but you can buy 12 volt supply sensors. We can also hi jack the oil temp sensor to read pressure as well.
  3. They do take a couple of laps to come up to working temps. We not run AO52’s yet thou. Both the CRS and AO52’s are reasonable in the rain thou which is good.
  4. More time back @ Brands Hatch , did some back to back testing with tyres , swapped over the new Nankang CRS which made a huge difference to the car after running Zestinio 07RS. A few photo's. Back in the Abbey workshop now for the SCS Delta Motorsport ABS system to be fitted and doing some initial investigation into fitting a BMW DCT 7 speed gearbox with CANTCU control should make the car even quicker.
  5. suspension dampers set up you get what you pay for I am afraid to say. a quality damper costs. If your not racing then you dont need a triple adjustable damper, do you know how to adjust compression/rebound dampers? if not a single adjustable damper will be fine.
  6. Been a while since we have been on here , we lost Tony late last year the man that started Abbey nearly 60 years ago. We got our 350Z race car back built after a big accident late in 2022. Had the Car back out @ Brands Hatch last week for initial shake down before we start racing the car again. #eatsleepracerepeat
  7. so the way to fit the front cover with the sump already fitted is to remove the dowels from the engine , measure the dowel run the same size drill through the front cover so the dowels slide into the cover nice and easily. fit the front cover then refit the dowels to position the front cover in the correct position.
  8. we not had a REVUP car on the dyno yet , we know everything works on a RevUp as the ECU is the same Gen as DE car. Everything is tunable like with Uprev but we are able to offer more control and tunability.
  9. no still UK DE/REV UP and HR cars only car that isnt support is the JDM narrow band cars (Gen 1 ecus) , I have a HR car so no need for a HR car to be supplied.
  10. use a proper breaking in oil not a mineral oil. something like this https://aaoil.co.uk/product/driven-15w-50-mineral-break-oil-br/#:~:text=Driven break-in mineral oil,the critical running-in period or the Millers like you have brought, I would runt his oil for 300 to 400 miles , the car needs the motor working to bed the rings in this will help with oil usage at a later date. Best way to break the motor in is on a dyno as you can load the car nice and easily and controlled. Bore wash isnt going to happen on 1st start , for a engine to bore wash needs a huge amount of fuel normally a misfire or a issue causing the car to black smoke. Pre lubing is a good idea thou best to crank over with the plugs out as well and over fill the motor with oil to help the oil pump pick the oil up.
  11. Anyone got a 350Z UK car that they need tuning , looking for a DE 276bhp NA car to tune with the new ECUTEK Z software. Email me mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk if your interested, should be able to offer the Ecutek Bluetooth ecu connect dongle in the deal
  12. 370 gearbox is different bell housing fitment to a 350Z gearbox , it what we call a big bell housing box with concentric slave cylinder
  13. I have always seen 1/4 to 1/2 thou change in measurements, it isn't just in the vertical clearances that changes when fitting studs. I am not a big user on Main studs TBH.
  14. looks an impressive list of parts , having the block line bored as your fitting main studs? full balance of engine dynamic parts I hope as well? We just built a coiple of VHR for race cars using HR heads on the VHR block still running Ecutek with added engine safety, fuel and oil temp limp modes together with lean trip
  15. So time passed quickly and we was back out on in the Abbey Motorsport/Steve Jordan Motorcycles Nissan 350Z for Round 2 BRSCC Clubsport Trophy @ Silverstone GP circuit, made some major changes on the car to try to gain some more speed in the car which after the Test day on Friday we had made a good move forward. Saturday arrived and qualifying 60+ cars on the track, Steve started, session quickly stopped due to a car with an opening bonnet.... session shortened so Steve only managed 4 flying laps and Mark managed to find some clear laps and popped a 3.21.4 in to put us in 14th Position. Race Steve started (1st ever car start) kept the car all clean from other car paint , lost a couple of places to cars on the when the 1st safety car was deployed, still racing even thou SC lights were flashing but luckily they was from another class, 2nd Safety car we carried out our driver swap , back out with safety car still deployed, Mark make up a few places on the road and finished 3rd in Class and 11th on the road.
