Does the 350z have an oil temp gauge? I thought it was only coolant temp the same as the 350z? -

Ahhhhh cheers matey. More than happy to assist. Since this took me a lot of time, I have at least built up some experience and so when I build the Alfa install I'll be able to reduce the build time dramatically. Although, the Alfa install will be far easier anyway as there's no dash to re-build. But happy to give you a guide if needed. I would recommend getting hold of a replacement dash though..... unless you're happy to butcher yours. Yeah theres a breakers close buy with a facelift sitting in it. Might try and see if they still have the dash. Did you get one easy enough even though its a facelift dash? -

No he's talking about the thermostatic plate set point. How are you monitoring your oil temps at the moment? -

I'm going to be annoying you over the next couple of months with tips for this install by the way mate. I'm so impressed! Showing everybody I talk to the video and pics lol -
7k will get a decent car with an average mileage. On a side note, can you please edit your original post and adjust the title of the thread to something relevant as threads like this get lost and people looking for help over look them also. Cheers

Yeah, I just went through all the car settings and saved all the info. It might be to do with my haltech ecu though? I'm not sure though. -

Oh its my rpm which is slight slow compared to the engine, only by milliseconds though. -

Interesting. I wouldn't be able to tell you why either. Okay my module is probably twice the size of the ELM and comes with a cable, but that's all I could see as a difference. The response is instant to be fair, I've noticed that my road speed on the Ipad is exactly the same as the Digital readout, whether it's taking the same ECU feed or not I don't know. Love it though, especially now as it's all integrated and it gives a load more than just rpm or speed. It also gives instant MPG, which the zed data doesn't normally give, although I think it's "calculated". I believe it is calculated although mines picks up my gears also, which I believe this never used to be available either? -

For the cost of the ELM it really is a bargain for the functionality its got. I've used it on various cars now with Dash Command on iPhone and it works a treat. -
Welcome mate! Hope you get one sorted soon! May not feel as fast as the Cupra tbh but its nice, fun car to drive. 5 years on I still smile every time I start her up. You won't regret the change!

To be fair it's been a gem. It seems super quick. Mine also came with software for the laptop as well. Not that I ever dare fettle with things like that, and not know what damage I could cause, probably none, but you never know I like to fettle big time ha ha. Lol yeah I have the haltech software also but too scared to touch it haha! Mines is quick maybe a few millisecond delay between dash and phone. -
Hi Gents, Ladies, I'm looking to swap out my Buddyclub system for something a little more subtle. Due to an impending house purchase I'm no longer getting time or the money to go to the track as much as I would like to. SO now my car is going under a full makeover with all vinyls being removed, lots of bodywork changes and also the exhaust. I'm looking to swap for a decent quality exhaust which isn't overly loud. I'm not looking for any Scorpion, Cobra or Japspeed swaps. I've already tried combinations of all of them and now looking for something a little different. I'm looking for, preferably, something of a true-dual nature, however I will consider a swap for a full Nismo System. This exhaust does sound epic but unfortunately due to me getting older its now becoming too loud It will come with all bolts and gaskets. This is a full system which comes from the cats back which means this will do away with the standard y-pipe I haven't posted a page with the date on it as the winds blowing a gale outside however my reg is in it and most people on here know my car and also me. The exhaust will be removed over the next week or so and machine polished as its looking a little dirty at the moment. This exhaust was never a high shine exhaust though; somewhat more of a dull brushed steel look. The exhaust has covered around 1.5k miles on my car in the past 2 years. Here's a few quick snaps from today. Send me over some idea's if you fancy a change.

mines is a cheapo but works quite well. It would be good to see the difference in performance between one like yours and a cheapo -

I have the ELM wifi OBD2 that I use with my iPhone. Works a treat -
The built in system is pants anyway. Tomtom is much better, even the iPhone maps are better. You could even buy a head unit with built in nav, which would be cheaper and kill two birds with one stone.

I use dash command on my iPhone 6 and its really good. Love the quick scroll on tabs just with touch also. Are u running on a wifi obd connection? -
Was in the car with your brother and he told me the line he says to the police. "Your job is to collect evidence and not to think, thats my job" i would pay quite a lot to see him in action!! Lol thats a solicitor for you! Thats the difference though. He does hate criminal lawyers though as they're the lawyers that never made it to the big time. He said when he's made his money he'll go back to criminal law and do it as a hobby when he's due to retire

Never thought I'd live to hear this!!!!!! I think you used to say if it's too loud you're old. Welcome to my world Neilly Lol yep I'm now officially too old for a loud exhaust. I think its more the fact that my hearing is ruined! Living up to your avatar then I am that Colin, avatar will be altered when the exhaust comes off -

Looking at selling my buddy club exhaust shortly or swap it for a true dual of some sort. Going to take it off and give it a machine polish.
