  4. At about 10:00am ish (can't really remember). I am not sure if this is the same silver 350z that I spotted a while ago in Retford but this time I am sure there was a big spolier on the back of it. Anyway I was about to join the hallcroft roundabout and you were heading towards Morrisons traffic lights.
  5. I have never done any car detailing before and I always thought a car wash was one of them things you drove through and it does it for you So I read the forums and this is my result: Some pics before I touched it: I had to buy a foam lance for the pressure washer and some foam. I really don’t think I bought the right stuff as the foam was pants: I then rinsed the car down: I then washed it with the 2 buckets method. I used Meguiars gold class shampoo and conditioner: Once I had dried the car I left it for about half an hour and went for the clay bar. I have never used one before so I was really nervous about my paint. However, as soon as I started to use it I could really feel the difference. The bar would slide over areas I had already done but were really sticky when removing the muck from the paint. I would show you a photo of the mucky clay bar but my lad got hold of the clay before I got chance : This is the pictures of it after the clay bar: I am pretty tired by know but I persevered and we went through the megiuars 3 step system. So first it was the paint cleaner: Then the car polish: Then finally the car wax: I also cleaned the wheels using AutoGlym wheel cleaner and then sealant: This is my first major clean so I don’t really have any tips. Although I can recommend getting a little helper as it was hard work

  7. hmmm... This is the link from last years operation http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/engl ... 761082.stm I am going to be a cynical here. There are no figures comparing the offences or deaths/injuries during the months when the operation was running to the months when the operation was not. The roads that are highlighted are major A roads so how many of the offences were registered in urban or rural areas? I just think the council need the money and this is a way of raising revenue.
  8. Bought mine 6 weeks ago and I am still the same age. Being a lady I wont reveal my age
  9. If the tyre is out of shape then just have a good feel around, you should be able to feel for any problems. If not then I am not sure what the problem would be. If it was a wheel bearing then you would expect the noise all the time.
  10. I had a similar noise years ago in a vectra. At 50mph it sounded like the wheel bearing had gone with this really horrible sound, after 50moh the car sound was gone and everything was ok again. The problem was the tyre. It had an egg shape on its inner side wall. Changed the tyre and the noise went.
  11. Congrats on your purchase Would love to see some pics when you have time. What colour have you gone for?
  12. They had their 3 for 2 offer on all cleaning products when I ordered mine. I just use them cos they were cheap and it meant I didn't have to wait for stuff to arrive when I was desperate to clean my car
  13. Enjoy your car, and dont let your other half take over I have had mine for over a month now and love it
  14. I order online and reserve for collection. Even then they haven't got a clue what I want when I walk in with my order number.
  15. I am following a blue ZED on the m62 towards manchester. Lovely looking motor
