The refinement is distinctly higher than in the Zed, but then you'd hope so for double the price. Even though in power to weight terms, the high power V6 is the same as my 350bhp celica, It just puts it down in a different way. I have a sharp peak 350bhp (turbo), while the F-Type has buckets of it all the way through due to supercharged loveliness. The V8 pulls like a god damned train and I fully support his statement of "get the one with the massive engine". On the road I completely agree, it's so comfortable to drive, and while driving them I have literally had people leaning fully out of their vans/cars and commenting how utterly stunning it is. You really do remember the power figure when you overtake though, it makes passengers grab on tight and make remarks like "oh... oh dear"

I looked to see if you had a section to post this in instead of derailing this thread but I couldn't find one. At the moment this is how the engine bay looks... Only change is that she now has a new rad instead of that disgusting old thing. Perhaps things like the strut braces at the back and the turbo cover. She's no garage queen, hence the grubby looks

I have no spend limit atm but next month will be the beginning of it. I have a wedding to pay for and a house to renovate I have always kind of had a general feeling about how much money I had to play with that month, but in recent times with house and car stuff it's got a bit wildly out of control. Biggest problem I have is that I've worked as a salesman in the past and it makes you real good at convincing both yourself and your partner that you "need" something or that "the (man) maths makes sense". I honestly think the best way to do it is to have the amount you want to be able to spend each month directly transferred out of your main account into a spending account. That way you have a hard limit (zero on that account) and it has to be a very concious act to pull the main card out and put it on that instead.

Having driven many F-types I can say the box is actually really quite nice to drive It changes when you want it too and does so quite sharply when in sport-dynamic mode, with some added exhaust theatre for funsies. Much weaker material and so you need more of it. I'll have you know I fitted one laptop bag in there!

I'm no expert but I would definitely say use some form of RAID for the storage drives. If it goes pop you don't want to lose all the patient data
