I've been playing (oh shame on me) castle clash, and clash of clans.
-
I do think there should be limits gradually implemented as it clearly isn't a safe or convenient situation. I'm just stating what the situation currently is and why.
-
Yeah, they are 100% not allowed to ride 4 abreast, maximum 2 abreast and if traffic is around they are mean to be breasts, uh I mean, single file.
-
I'd agree, it was pretty tame compared to previous tyre wars

Ok, having seen this from both sides I'd say some of you are wrong. Both cars AND horses have the right to be on certain roads, EQUAL right. Just because you run on petrol and it runs on grass makes no difference, you're just using a different machine. The comparison with dog poo is just ridiculous, you need to get out of your house a bit more! Do you think your food is injection moulded? No, the fields are covered in cow poo, chicken poo and whatever else is good for the soil. From this link; "Nearly two decades ago, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) classified pet waste as a dangerous pollutant in the same category as toxic chemicals and oil." While horse poo obviously isn't something you want to chow down on due to things such as e.coli , it certainly isn't classed as the same level of bio hazard as dog poo. As for a riders right to be on the road; humans have had domesticated horses for approximately 6500 years, we have had motor cars for 128 years, and even 100 years ago they were still limited to 14mph! I think it's fair to say that horses were there first, and to remove them from the roads is akin to saying you can't walk your dog down the street. There are rules for riders on the road, all based around safety of course. But there are also rules for drivers, based on the safety and sharing the road in a respectful way to other road users. I think to be impatient behind horse riders and create a dangerous situation where a horse could be spooked is unforgivable. If you have been on top of a horse while it's panicking and then enjoyed the subsequent flail through the air and realisation you may be trampled to death, you'll understand why it's important to be respectful on the roads. However, the same applies the other way, as mentioned there are horse riders who are douche bags. So, douche bags on both sides and the result is someone thrown from their horse and killed, fortunately it's a rare thing as the majority of drivers are respectful and the majority of riders are courteous. Just don't be one of those douche bags. On a final note, more related to the OP's point about poop, it's a good idea to grab some and chuck it in your compost heap! But remember to compost it for about 6 months, or a shorter time period if you can get it up to 131C, this kills off all the nasty things you could catch from it. You're better off getting this stuff fresh out its butt rather than getting it from a local farm as you know it's fresh and free from additives like lime. I don't mind it, you need to get out in the hills more, plenty sheep **** to tread in out there Dog stuff is foul and as mentioned can be dangerous (carnivore poo). Horse stuff is fine (herbivore poo).
-
And the OP has spoken You mentioned Tyres, what did you expect
-
Some say the best fun can be had on the limits of handling. Now you can have fun in the 15mph tesco carpark
-
It's all about what works with the design of the car and which supplier they can get the best deal with.
-
Just remembered didn't you buy Vreds when they were in fashion (mainly because of the tread pattern) I'll actually have you know I had them on before everyone else, I was cool before it was cool to be cool! I bought them because decent tyres in 305 width on 19's are £300 each, the vreds were on half price at the time.

So, to answer the OP: If you're just driving normally with the odd country road blast, they will be fine with potenzas (RE050's, not RE040's which are ****). Just make sure you always keep your front and back tyres matched. So if you wanted to change tyre brand/model then you'd need to change the front too, which is probably going to be an added expense if they have plenty tread left. If you do want to change them, you can get any well reviewed premium tyre, specifically the MPSS are rated highly by 350zuk forum members. Avoid getting cheap ditch finders as you'll probably end up... in a ditch

I still find that mildly offensive Sent from the golf club... Wow, is this better?
-
Naughty boy It has been quoted, they all need editing to stop me seeing naughty words woops sorry
-
But to that degree having decent tyres actually saves you. I would hasten a guess that a pro driver could drive better on ditchfinders than I could on MPSS. If you have a cheaper tyre on, driving enthusiastically might cause you to easily lose control of the vehicle whereas a more expensive performance tyre will help to keep you in check. Knew this was coming haha. I don't have a perfect answer for you there, hence me not including it in what I wrote up there ^ . I would love to say that everyone should be on ditch finders, as that would teach people to drive better as they wouldn't be able to just rely on super sticky tyres to make up for their inexperience. But I'd rather not be rear ended by someone on @*!# tyres.

Everyone really, the day you realise that you are a far worse driver than you think you are is the day you stop driving like a dick and being to learn. You have to understand this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illusory_superiority before you can properly accept new ideas. I know, I'm starting to sound like Mr Miyagi, but it is the reason people are so bad on the road.
-
I'm going to be blunt here, most peoples driving is pretty crap, they don't know how to corner smoothly, brake correctly, or make progress through twisties, they simply wont notice the difference between the top 5% of road tyres out there.
-
I hate the way people jump on the tyre bandwagon for the current tyre fashion. [Mod edit: pic removed due to offensive language. Placing it in spoiler marks does not count] readded a polite version

Lovely car -
Makes me have second thoughts about starting a business
-
looks like you have your camera set on a sepia tone setting. Have a prod in the settings and you can probably turn it off

Ian had one and loved it so much I'm sure he tried to procreate with it from time to time. It isn't common so you'd have a unique spin on your car, however it's very Marmite. I only came here to make a joke at Ian's expense...
