Genuinely, what you saw was what happened, if anything, a lot of what we done wasn't shown and it was a lot harder than it seemed. The crew done their job and left us alone. I always wondered the same thing and you do hear about certain people faking a lot of what they do.... like bear grills! The river crossing was so much harder than it came across on tv! Jon almost got taken down stream and the amazon is not the place where you want to be adrift! And the rat thing went on for about an hour. Steve and me helped skin it. the smell of burning rat was on my clothes for 24 hours and it was unbelievably horrible! So all in all, it was as real as you could hope for!

Haha, you're not the first person to say that! I'm ex military so it was a walk in the park for me I love things like that and i had just come back from SE Asia where i tried, snake, rat, bat and tarantula(leg). Slight unfair advantage over my brothers....bless jon though!

Defiantly mate! Its such an amazing place and its insane on how quickly its being cut down! Dont quote me on this but I'm sure its something like the size of wales is being cut down every second. How scary is that! The experience also made me want to learn Spanish! The Peruvians are incredible! Bloody ell Whats being done to stop this? Apparently, there was a certain amount of the rain forest that was allowed/agreed to be cut down (i think it was something ridiculous like 60%...may even be more?) so we will never lose all of the rain forest but even that amount would be devastating to the planet so we are trying to raise awareness and Sky have a "Sky rain forest Rescue" program on the go where you can adopt a jaguar, donate money etc. Theres a facebook group. I know it sounds like it but im not working for Sky!

I wasnt in showbiz but i guess i am now Haha, yeah it didnt help the GTR situation! Ross Kemp has done the serious side of the problems there and our show was to raise awareness but to show that its not all doom and gloom. Drinks in derby....sounds good to me!

Sorry to be cynical Pete, but i cant see how you can possibly down grade and be happy! The GTR is my dream car and if/when i get one, i will not be looking back! I love my Zed more than anything i have ever owned and i cant stop looking at it (even after a year of owning it)! It is a stunning looking car (by far one of the best looking cars on the road...within reason) and i'm head over heels with it but i certainly wont be selling it and buying a golf GTI....if you catch my drift?

Well i've certainly spotted you Nix! passing ships in the night spring to mind though! I might just have to check if my car is fitted with a cloaking device....one of those ones that only work when youre sat in it!

Is your car under warranty? Judging by the sig it would be an 06 or less? So possibly just outside of warranty? I wouldn't go to Nissan for a rebuild, I would go to a specialist. But how poor is it these cars need gearbox work at so few miles. All I want to do is drive mine now, I miss it big time. I know exactly what you mean Geoff! I was actually in wessex today and mentioned your car! I was querying my "warranty" that i had with the nissan garage i bought my car from. Basically, not worth the hassle!!! Im going to get it rebuilt by someone who actually cares about the job they do!

I spoke to Indigo-GT today (jap car specialist in merthyr) and they have a guy that will rebuild the gearbox for £200-300+parts. I was told that this guy is very good at it, so i'm thinking that i may cut out nissan and get it done myself! Can anyone give me a very good reason why i should not do this?

I remember it Chris, I thought you were gonna sort them when you got back, bet you can't afford them now you have been travelling so long You know the saying :You snooze you loose Doesnt matter if you get some too though They look very Well i had saved a nice amount ready to get them, and i didnt plan to go away for so long. My job came to an end whilst on my 6 week "holiday" so i decided to stay with my girl friend for 4 months! Never mind, i had an amazing time! Youre right though mate.....lets start saving again then!
