  1. Yeh as Russ said they are small mate. There more like motorbike ones than car ones lol...My Celica was pritty small aswell... Just whip your lower engine cover off and check before you unscrew lol.. Good luck mate. Alexz
  2. Ok with the car just clicking over 45k I thought I best get her serviced asap. This is the first servive I've done since owning the car so I thought best do all the oil's and be happy knowing its all done. I spoke to Nissan and bought the oils, washers and oil filter. I got the car in work yesterday morning and started...I took a couple of images along the way for people to have a peep... Engine Oil I snapped one of the lower engine guard nuts in the front panel on removal..I guess Nissan couldn't be arsed to grease then last time it was serviced. Doh Couple of quick points if your going to do it yourself for the first time...Make sure you bough the correct filter before removing the one on the car lol... Make sure you have a new sump plug washer...this type compresses on itself... Torque Setting accoring to Autodata is 35Nm for the sump plug. Rear Diff First thing is to whip the plastic cover off....IIRC there are four 12mm nuts... The diff holds 1.4liters of oil according to Nissan's manual and the torque setting for both the plugs are 34Nm. You will find the drain plug has a magnet on the end to collect and loose metal in the diff. Again I bought new washers for both plugs...these are plain washer and could be used again if needed. Gear Box Same as the diff the plugs are torqued to 34Nm, they also use the same washers. I would advise using a 500ml bottle to do this as the 1000ml is a little tight up the side of the box. Nissan say you should use 2.9liters of box oil...this doesnt come out the fill hole like most other cars I've services and you cant feel the oil level when you dip your finger in lol...Scary I know. . Most other cars also have a magnet on the box drian plug unless mines fell off lol.. I also had a good look round the car as all services should included. The front pads are low and require replacing soon. I've had a quick search and a lot of people recommend Ferodo DS2500. I was looking more toward the Brembo Sport ones. Has anyone used these before...Opie's can sort them for £108 delivered.? Barring the brakes the car is cool...I changed the plugs to Denso Iridium ones late last years and cleaned the K&N filter. When the snow cleared today I washed her and clayed the bonnet and wings... Alexz

Yeh I got them cause they were half price and I know they do go back up in cost,,,just bare in mind the life time guarantee doesnt cover the moving parts only the steel spanner itself lol.. Alex
  5. I also looked at the M3 when I bought my Z... After reading some M3 fourm information and loads of reviews from all over the world I found the years I considered 2002-2003 had engine problem. If I remember right it was the bottom end of the engine due to poor bearings. They offered a full engine rebuild with either a 6 year warranty or 100k miles if you had full BMW service history and your engine was damaged. The following years 2004-2005 they were still repalcing oil pump and other engine parts underwarranty....At this stage I decided I couldnt bring myself to pay the 15k-17k for a mint M3 and looked towards the Z. I do see M3's on the road and love them, but i'm really happy with the Z and look towards the future that may included the new V8 baby with carbon roof lol Alexz
  6. I think the Z kit is good, but the mono speaker is a little poor...I also had a Parrot and the sound from the front speakers was far better... The Z one has been fine for me though so I;m hanging on lol Alex
  7. Some screens have location bracket to make sure there perfect. I dont think the Z has but if your paying a pro to do the swap you hope there good. I just made sure he knew it was my baby and there would be war if he made a mess or broke anything and didnt inform me. All you can do is have faith...when the chap cut mine out he informed me it wasn't the genuine screen and it wasnt bonded ay all across the bottom...You could see were the sealant hadnt made contact with the car shell , so I was better off having a new one fitted lol Alex
  8. Alex has offered me good advise in the past so he's well worth talking to....other than that I've used http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/pages/prici ... rs-ccp.asp in the past and they to were very good... Alex

Lol, yeh I know you have all your tools aswell then, but if some one brakes in you lose hundered in tools lol..I had one of my old cars broken into and they stole my tool bag, took me ages to replace all the tools...little things you dont think about until you relaise its gone... Alex
  12. Ok, not sure if this has been done before...I was thinking it would be nice to have a few more tools than the Nissan ones with the car. I like to have a play when things go worng and my friends sort of come to me aswell lol...I normally take my tool box in the back on a day to day basis. I thought with a couple of tools in the boot all the time I could get rid off the tool box. Most people have a ratchet set and screw drivers at there home, I picked a couple of the more common ones to carry. I used some old sponge from my shed...there must be a better material out there but this is a stepping stone to perfection lol What you guy's think...when you have it covered theres no rattles, plus you have kneeling pad lol.. Alex
  13. maybe try pouring some warm water around the jet, that what I did with mine when they stock out in the cold lol....worked a treat. Alex
  14. Thanks to everyone who has posted. I now have one sorted via a couple of the members. I have learnt not to ask for anything in the future as kindness isnt they way from some members. If the transaction does goes ahead with the aerial swap I will be paying £10 for the part and i'll donate £5 to the club. Like I said at the start, money wasnt really the issue Regards Alex
