  1. Cheers for the info Stew, I'm new to all this stuff so guideance is a must, the last thing I want to do is burn through the laqure. My mate whos advising also uses a rotary like the guys at my work (bodyshop) and there a little more major. I didnt get round to doing anymore over the weekend with BBQ's and JTS show today lol...I'll try the XP during the week. Thanks for the advise Alex
  2. I got given one at a meet in Yorkshire (Brain Leightons) again a big thanks to Nixy for sorting that meet. I couldnt beleive the amount on noise it reduced. Defo worth the cash and 2mins to to fit them... Alex
  3. Evening Stew, not 100% sure what actual polish was used and its in the shed lol...It's the same manufactures and in the same sequence as belowe but the cut rades may be different. I let my mate advise me on these as he's done plenty of vehicles from Saxo's to Carrera's.... Main Cutting Compound, the grade is in the middle of the veritant line. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... -203s.html Second coat, guess this removes any further imperfections the above compond leaves. Again, on the scale this was closer to the bottom but this is alot more liquidy than the compound above. http://www.meguiars.co.uk/product/351 I finished with some Mags stage 3 canuba wax, but my mate doesnt rate this and said I should have used the Poorboy's XP he gave me lol... The pads are both Mags pads but I'm not sure what grade, theres a soft one and a slightly harder one lol... I'lltry the Poorboys polish on there other panels and see what the difference is. Hope this helps...

  7. thanks matie, I know its hard to show the quality of the finish on a camera but anyone who knows what the final finish is like understands its worth taking the time now and again. Alex
  8. Ok guys its been a little while since Ive been able to spend some time on the car with work and courses all the time its been tight. I left work an hour early today and thought nows the time to bite the bullet and start some Porter Cable action, I thought I'll start with the tailgate and go over the top to the bonnet. This is so time consuming its hard to believe, it took me three and a half hours to do the three panels. The steps I took were... Wash Car Fully Dry Car Clay Bar The Choosen Panel (I did this panel by panel as I polished them) Wipe of Left Over Lube From Clay Mask Out All Seals And Gaps That Polish Will Go In (Not a must but big time saver) Apply Most Abrasive Compond On A Moderate Cutting Pad Remove With Microfiber Cloth Apply Less Abrasive Compond On Polishing Pad Remove With Microfiber Cloth Apply Final Stage Polish On Applicator Pad By Hand Remove With Microfiber Cloth Demask Car and Smile The panels done feel like glass, until I get the under sodium light or in the booth at work I wont see how manu swirls are left. In normal day light it looks fine and well worth the effort, roll on Saturday for the rest of it. Clay the panel to remove any unwanted grime Mask Out Seals Apply First Coat Lighter Second Coat Final Finish What you guys think, theres loads of ways and trick of using the p/c, I just followed some advice from a friend who does a bit. Advice and comments welcome for weekend lol. Alex

  14. As above, I've had a new screen aswell, simple job and they should bring a new top seal for the windscreen with them. Mine came with two, one with the screen and they ordered one just incase so I had the choice of a matt or shiny top rubber, MATT all the way man. Alexz

    Air Con?

Hi mate, as Dblock mentioned the only reason you should need it regassing is if theres a leak. We have the machine at work..You just plug the macine pipes to the feron tubes on the car, put in the weight of gas and leave it to it. Yours might not have the full gas amount in from factory... I would try using it a little more, or compare it to another 350z if you know anyone...The air con system is pressure sealed so it should really be coolio. Alex
  19. Was due to lend a friends car to collect my new bike tonight, but i can collect in the Zed after seeing your picture Haha it's cool if the bike is all clean and smells of GT85, but when It's got half of Wales in the tyres and front mech it's not a good idea.. I do like the bike rack on the thread above though. Alex

    Diff oil

Just mailed that to my mechanic pal, he's very impressed and commented on what a top site this is Big thanks mate No worry at all mate, just check my thread if you need any other info. I've done a couple of bits in the short time I've owned her.... There's a 350z manual in the guide section your mechanic may like to have a read through, I get all my info of there for torque settings and levels etc. Regards Alex
