  1. ...think it's Twilight Grey (though, according to the Nissan website, you can't spec this colour any more )
  2. For comparison purposes (I'm having a thick moment, can't remember it's name, not universal silver)... Also, compared against a 'standard' silver behind in one of the shots. This is my favourite colour (really hides the muck). I was offer a black rose car but I wasn't keen on the changing colour (to virtually purple) but would have had a standard black one. The top & bottom piccies were taken when my car was clean but the middle one was after about 3 weeks of not being washed - not much difference really.
  3. Oh OK, bit of a faff but hey ho. How's the motor going mate???
  4. Simple question but I cannot find the answer in the manual... ...how do you turn off the voice guidance whilst on-route??? I know I could go through the menu system to turn it off or turn down the volume (but this still interupts the music playback) but is there a quick button to toggle the voice on/off???
  5. Hey, great news, would love to hear your feedback on a) installation and how it works really. As a matter of interest, exactly how much ££££ did it convert into???
  6. Nice choice, looks like black to me (as opposed to black rose), and wow what a gift. So, what are your first impressions then???
  7. *cough* sorry, you're asking your single female cousin to *cough* have a go on my what *cough*
  8. Add the Mrs as a named driver - CHECK Park your car on the street overnight (actually £80 cheaper than in my garage) - parked on driveway Move house to an even better area - Jesus, cheaper to pay more insurance Swap your job (or work for an insurance company) - mmm, I'm a 'professional' if that helps Buy a fiesta 1.2 - no thanks
  9. Well, they're happy to cover me, and I'm 'OK' about paying the figure. Still somewhat surprise by how much is costs to insure me. Completely clean license, never made a claim, 35 yr old married man, live in a decent area. What the frig do I need to do to get the premium down; my excess is alreay eye-wateringly high (don't say change car ).
  10. Right, I plucked up courage to make the call (I hate speaking to insurers), and they were absolutely fine . I just answered the 'does it increase sound & performance' question with a 'yes' and she returned with 'that's no problem'. I did say that I thought it increased the bhp by around 18 but wasn't really a significant difference. I asked if they wanted to know the name of the system but she said they didn't need to know unless there was a significant different (quote from the underwriter). Premium increased from £828p/a by a further £82. Happy with that .
  11. Nice one, I'll call them, just wanted some back-up before I spoke to them. What's the Stillen, 19bhp increase, something like that???
  12. In typical style I've just ordered a full Stillen exhaust system, to arrive on Monday, but forgot completely about the insurance side of things. I'm currently insured with Esure. Before I make the fateful call, does anyone know whether Esure are exhaust-mod friendly??? I cancelled my last policy (with Swift) just after renewal as the premium went crazy (and they insisted on a tracker) when I got the 370Z so it was cheaper to swallow the pill and change but don't really want to change again. Any ideas???
  13. Thanks for that. Someone on another forum educated me to that website last night, here's the link, http://www.courtesyparts.com/40300m-alu ... 8802_8807& I was trying to ascertain whether the reference I've quoted is an official part reference number or just an internal code that Nissan use (it came from a stealership). I think it's the latter.
  14. Anybody know the part number for a new 19" OEM alloy for the front right??? I've got "ND03001EC4A" from a Nissan quotation but is that an internal code or the official code for this product??? Any ideas???
  15. That's getting somewhere near isn't it (about £252 given todays exchange rate). How would support work if purchased from the states?? Did I see something about getting some cashback is you mention your fantastic purchase on a forum??? Would we all get it??? I'm trying to calculate how often I'd actually use the features; so far -: 1) when approaching car (instead of standing like a knob holding the door handle button 2) when it starts spitting 3) when arriving home from work to things speed up
  16. We passed each other right outside The Unicorn this morning. Gorgeous car (if only they did a Roadster version ). Sorry I didn't let on but it took me a moment to realise it was another 370Z; I see so few it came as a bit of a surprise!!
  17. H Ha. Just checked the prices, can't find the 370Z prices online but the others range from £270 - £350 for most models (Porsche of course receiving the obligatory hike up to £500 for no reason ). My guess, as it's new, it'll be £350. Two companies offering them - CKS Performance and PFS-Parts - both on eBay. So, assuming it's £350, I reckon they'll only knock off about £25 (as, in all honesty, it's going to be a pretty small group-buy, unless we include the 350Z boys). £200 I'm in . £325 I'm out .
  18. I'd already located this mod from the US website and I'd love to get it. Nice to see some UK suppliers though which is some comfort in case you need some back-up (should the worst happen). Nice find .
  19. Ha ha, not got round to that but, as a matter of interest, what aerial gave you got???
  20. I wish you guys would help me earn it quicker than you help me spend it!!!
  21. I think this is exactly it Chris. I'm not bothered about more power (honestly ) but would like more sound however want the sound to be the right sound if you know what I mean. Pretty hard to explain. I would like a new exhaust though so, if I can get some HFCs now for the right price, I'll maybe just hold onto them (or stick them on just on the off chance they keep me happy!!!).
  22. So, for the price, perhaps worth a stab??? I don't even understand what the hell the HFCs do (or where they go for that matter ) but am just desperate for a bit more sound. BUT, I'm after what the 350Z delivers as opposed to some chavvy-arsed charriot .
  23. Can I just throw a quick question into the mix... ...I keep picking up various nuggets of information from various threads but here's my question... What would be the result of sticking some HFCs onto my standard car (with no fancy exhaust or remap)??? Would this -: * increase bhp * improve power delivery * screw-up mpg * increase sound The point I'm most interested in is the sound issue. I've heard it does improve sound so, in my quest to bring a bit of voice back to the Z family, can I just get some HCFs and forget about the exhaust (what is the vocal difference between just an exhaust upgrade or just HFCs) Sorry, I know these issues are talked to death, but I'm still struggling to grasp it. Just wondering what advice you guys can offer before I speak to Tarmac .
