Thanks for all the thumbs up guys, and sorry hadz if i'm stepping on your shoes as you have done this before! Got a plan and direction i want to take it, there will be more black bits put on it but by the end of the week i will have taken it as far as my budget will allow me. Got a few choices to make on other stuff, but these can be solidified by that time when i can afford them. Probably gonna do bits and pieces now so i don't spend to much. I will of course be keeping this updated with more pics come this weekend. And hopefully some artsy shots done by a mate who's good with camera. So far, Taras did... Stealth Matte Black Wrap - including door sills Black Rubber Stubby Aerial Debadged and rebadged with Z Emblems - Sprayed in Satin Black and Lacquered Door handles Sprayed in Satin Black and Lacquered Window Tints - Rear and Sides - 35% i believe it was Jay - I haven't decided on body kits, i don't want something lairy, pretty subtle, but this most likely will be at the very end of the project, to give it that last bit of polish. Cragus - Would you be able to link me to those headlights, i was thinking of sending them to Dream Customz, i believe, to get various bits and pieces like that done. You guys can guess the rest of the extra's i put on by the end of the week when i have the pics up

Big shout out to Taras and his team at RT-Performance More things to complete by the end of next week, so will be posting more on this...

You can always compare them on here, and see which one is better. http://www.fastestlaps.com/ As far as i can tell the 07+ 350z seems to be better matched with the Focus RS in standard form. http://www.fastestlaps.com/cars/ford_fo ... mk_ii.html Of course a tuned ST is different but a bog standard 350z compared to a bog standard ST. The 350z would win. Though there doesnt seem to be much track information for the ST.

Muchos appreciated guys, was getting charged £400 for fitting suspension and exhaust, which seems to be in the right ballpark from what you guys said!
-
Just wanted to see how long it takes to fit these as i wanted to check it against a quote i had to fit these and a few other things. Seemed a bit steep what they quoted me!

Semi-Automatic?

Not brand new then..... Like new would perhaps be more accurate. However, that's splitting hairs. My point was it was a physical car that had been driven by others (however briefly) and not a factory order. Im not seeing what your trying to get at? If it was from the factory, it would have cost £54k, if it was on PCP he would have had to pay roughly £25k for 3 years,. What he is getting at is that you said it was "brand new" but then stated it was a demo, which are not the same thing. If he had bought it brand new, it would have been £54k as you pointed out yourself. If your dad had got it on PCP he would have had a new car (£54k) and the £25k lease payments would have brought the figures almost exactly in line with your proposed current value of £30k............... Ohhh right, you misunderstood me then, it's £30k NOW, as in 5 years after he bought it, in 2010 we looked at upgrading as we fancied the 4.4 TDV8 but it only came in the Vogue so i looked at used prices then at it was roughly £38k. So after 3 years of PCP you'd have spent £25k If you bought outright and sold at second hand, you'd have only lost £16k to depreciation. Sorry if i didn't word it right!

Not brand new then..... Like new would perhaps be more accurate. However, that's splitting hairs. My point was it was a physical car that had been driven by others (however briefly) and not a factory order. Im not seeing what your trying to get at? If it was from the factory, it would have cost £54k, if it was on PCP he would have had to pay roughly £25k for 3 years, after a 3 year stint if he had finished paying for it or bought it outright and he sold it after 3 years he would have lost less money on depreciation than using PCP. All i was stating was that with some cars on PCP you do lose out but on the flip side you at least were able to afford to use it for 3 years.
-
But presumably he paid cash for it. And it wasn't new. My Dad has done the PCP calcs many times. The cars he buys would be upwards of a grand a month. He buys his cars in cash when very nearly new and just accepts the depreciation hit, the cars have always taken a hit already. He always buys privately too as he reckons he'd pay too much in Company car tax purchasing it through his company. Pays your money and makes yer choice. I still maintain that PCP works well for those that don't have the cash and want a brand new car. Brand new, just was a demo model, so had been tested a few times, barely 50 miles on the clock though, otherwise he would have paid £54k or something, he got a bargain! And nope, used a loan. Again as you said, each to their own, but me personally i would always buy my cars either via loan or ideally outright as even having a loan scares me!
-
The problem also is when people also talk about depreciation. Ok you might pay say a good chunk of money for leasing the car and at the end of it you give it back while on the other hand people who have bought a car outright via a loan or what not, their car will depreciate more than if you were gonna lease it. The problem is when that doesn't happen. My dad has a Range Rover Sport TDV8, 2007 model. He bought it from the garage for i think £48000, ex-demo model and we live in the Channel Islands so don't pay VAT, with his mileage and year now, he can still get a good £30k for it if he doesn't mind the wait to sell it. And i believe the PCP plan for that in 2007 was around £700 to 800 a month! And if that was for 3 years, he would have paid £25k. He would actually be losing money! So it also depends entirely on the car and i believe the TDV8 were always the most sought after out of all the engines as it was the best of both worlds in terms of mpg and power. Also, we've been away countless times off-roading, biggest one was a trek across Morrocco, including sand dunes, and we fully kitted out the car for that purpose, 2nd set of wheels, protection, all that stuff, even tuned it, the PCP wouldn't have allowed us to use the car as it was intended!

Thanks guys, got all the info i need.

I'm in the market for some BC coilovers and i was wonder what the range of adjustment is, as in how little to how much drop is possible? Been trying to search but can't seem to find a definitive answer!

That is true, Microshaft is really pushing hard in their mobile development, i think their goal is to have everything all in 1 box, should see the develpment they want to do with the Xbox intergrating it with Augmented Reality glasses that work with your phone and on the move and all that stuff. Anyway back to phones, the greatest thing about Android compared to iOS, is, that you can use it for more than just a phone, i like how i can just plug my phone into any computer, drag and select a bunch of files, open my phones internal or external storage and place it in there no questions asked. Unplug then plug it into any USB device like an Xbox and watch films and play music when i want. It might not be so user friendly, but with that there is more freedom because you ain't boxed in to doing things a certain way which would make it easier for people who don't care.

Quote for me is £1440 from RT-Performance, and it also depends on the cost of the vinyl and what colour or texture you go for changes the prices quite a lot from what i've heard.
-
Lol, thanks, they are on the cards, and i would go for them as i believe they are slightly cheaper but i think that they are too aggressive for the look im going for. Thanks for the info tho
-
I dont have much experience in either but i would get my 350z wrapped, which incidentally, i will be doing. I think it's the best compromise for the cost, and at least it isn't permanent until i find the colour and texture i am looking for, i believe for a good spray job from a reputable bodyshop you'd be looking at £3k to £4k for a respray. While you'll be looking at less than half that for a good quality wrap job. And to be honest i doubt many people could recognise the difference even at close inspection.

Perfect, cheers for all the help, that thread has helped a ton as well. Instead of creating another thread, maybe you might be able to help with this too, im going for the BC Racing Coilovers as well, what is the range of height adjustment?
-
Ah perfect, i think i'll go for +22 then, cheers for that. Though i thought that ppl usually keep the fronts at +20 as anything more might rub the front arches when turning? Thanks for the info on the spacers, anyone can confirm that?
-
Hey guys, i'm looking at the Varrstoen ES2.2.2's in 19x9.5 et12 for the fronts and 19x10.5 et22 for the rears, just wondering if these work with the arches, don't want to have to roll them? Im not looking for a hugely aggressive look and i would have thought those offsets would be best? Tyres im going for are Falken 452's and in 255/35 for the fronts and 285/35 for the rears, dont really want to go for the stretched look and by what the tyre calculators say this is the right size, just wanted to make sure with ppl who are in the know?

From all accounts the HTC One X is supposed to be brilliant, haven't used it myself but a friend has a sensation and is upgrading to the one x. I on the other hand stuck with samsung, to me the top 3 contenders are the Iphone, Galaxy and One X. Iphone for it's user friendly approach Samsung, for its screen and great use of android One X for its slightly better performance and some fantastic widgets.
-
I bought the S3, its bloody brilliant, went from an S1 to an S3 and it's a huge improvement After a bit of fiddling and tweaking and getting the phone to work how i want the battery lasts about 2 days worth. That's with using the internet and checking the various apps and playing some games too. I've played around with the S2 also and the upgrade difference is much less though.

I know a lot of ppl would be fuming, but in the end what is it going to accomplish them, if he keeps calm and a level head he can make the right decision to get his money back and for the company to pay for all the damages, if he is fuming and starts spouting all sorts of things and slanders the company and what not he then just makes it harder for him to get what is rightfully his. It is shocking the kind of workmanship that went on, i doubt the guy would even see ppl back for anything else his company does, i doubt anyone can trust his work on anything else he does, like window tinting, after seeing that GTR getting raped by him... actually what would his window tinting work look like if he can bodge a wrapping job like that so badly!

VXR8, then go to Monkfish and get a few choice modifications... Switchable straight through exhausts is definitely first on the list!
