It's a blade silver, rtbiscuit. Going for an aftermarket like a Shine N2 for example, was what I had in mind. Nissan quoted £817.80, so I was wondering if any traders had them going for less as a base line really.

Ok, I think I'll PM Zmanalex to see if he has any going. Did take it out for another longer ride, all seemed fine at various levels of acceleration, but that smell was definetly still there when I parked up again.

Hmm, think this rather describes my experience this morning, along with horrendous burning smell. After clutch released, it continued to work fine at low revs. I suppose when I'm feeling brave enough I'll see if I can repeat the problem, to confirm the bad news.

I call it the Graveyard for Technology. Another 2 screens setup behind me with more thin clients on for testing, blah blah.
