If you're sure you didn't just stall and it is definitely the engine management light then take it straight back - is it a specialist garage - will they have any clue how to fix it? If in doubt just tell them deal is off and walk away

Really pisses me off when this happens - I now ask for a specific appointment / instruct the MOT to happen on any car of mine AS SOON as I have arrived at the garage - they all know fine damn well that a minimal fail on emmisions is avoidable it is just money making GRRRR ... rant over.

Those prices you've been quoted are outrageous! Shop around ... and if they don't mention that the B17 (Azure) is a two stage process (base then metallic) walk away as they will not manage a paint match - ideally if you're getting the front end done you'll want it blended onto the wings anyway
