What model is a 350z GT4 main headlight?
mercurial replied to mercurial's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
There's condensation inside the headlights casing. Problem with the seal when I changed the unit ... (long story but basically won't be using that garage anymore!) Most likely its shorted the bulb I'd imagine. -

Sorry, basically I'm looking to replace the headlight and want to know the model for the bulb type. For the GT4, is it Xenon H7? -
Can anyone tell me what model I need to be looking for? Headlight might have blown most likely as looks likes moisture has entered the unit somehow.

Heard a familiar sound and spotted a clean looking Azure Blue 350z passing Sutton Station today. Was it you?

Choices choices choices, wouldn't it be great if we had a way to compare tyres 1) from new 2) 5k 3) 10k Put it around a track, on wet, on dry.. Would be good next time an event happens we swap wheels for a quick test?? Anyway, back to the topic.... been reading reviews about the : Hankook Ventus S1 evo and tempted to brave it. Not a brand I would usually relate to and have been tempted by the falkens (heavily discussed), Sessantas or the F1 Assymetrics. You think i am doing the right thing?? :S

Is the car still with the Garage?? Saw it a coupla weeks ago....sad seeing a zed parked and not used ..... will be passing by the garage and might just have to get an early glimpse of it, if it still with them:P

Well on a few positives: Patience brings its rewards and the reward being a 350z is worth the wait. You get to drive the FTO for a little longer and I have to say it does look stunning! Allows you to save up that little bit more of cash so that when you get the zed... you can work more of your magic on her (I am guessing its gonna be a her )

+1 +2 !!! +3 Most surprised! Well I guess peer pressure has done its job.... be expecting a call then I guess probably tomorrow then...

Yup was me who phoned up earlier.....

The Ancaster in Bromley is HPC but not the Croydon one... Got quotes back and all companies issued around £3k for the fixing and I swear the damage isn't that bad!! Eitherway, it gonna be an insurance jobby, so I guess I'm happy to let the bodyshop get a good deal as long as they do a darn good job!! Looking at giving it to xquisite in croydon to do as somebody mentioned them on the forum...how's he compared to big John?
-
So in terms of fit - then I guess the Nismo will mean less work for the body shop, but in terms of quality both are made from different materials right? I hear the Nismo cracks easily???
-
I got a UK spec GT and as some of you heard, got pranged and instead of putting the replacement bumper, trying to sort out a diffferent one....with the price put aside, what is the difference in terms of what you get and the quality of what you get between a proper nismo vs a nismo styled?
-
only supply believe it or not... but this was inclusive of VAT...

Yeah, this was quoted for the full front bumper change by Nissan - Croydon. Noted that Ancaster Nissan (High Performance Centre) gave me a CNC Panels in Sydenham to have a look at it tomorrow for a quote as they do their main body work for the GTR's, 350's and 370's down there.....so I am hoping its going to be a half decent place But hopefully I can get a few more quotes from anyone who knows of anywhere within a 15 to 20 mile radius of Bromley The old man offered to drive my car there, but can't have him driving too far or it won't only be the front I might be replacing.......

By the way... Fiddy.... u might want to change your hyper link to as it takes you to bath tubs and floor repairs did a quick google though thanks

Ideally it would be grand if I could somehow wrangle a full body kit but of course, don't think thats possible. I was gonna "top up" basically on the rest of the kit as it will overall cost me less for resprays etc. Just gotta find out what I can and can't do with an insurance claim as it won't be like for like etc... Unfortunately "Big Jons" place is a bit far at the moment for a person who has a broken ankle if not I would most definitely go there..... I'm over at Bromley Kent at the moment... Anyone know of any other bodyshop places highly recommended??

Just wondered if I could get people's opinion on the scenario I'm in. My car got bumped into the other day, denting the bumper and nicked about 15mm from the side wing along with scratching the right main headlight shells. The fault wasn't mine so will be claiming from the other party who has already admitted fault. I phoned up Nissan and got a quote for parts only....... which for the bumper itself costs just under £700 primed for a GT4 OEM bumper!!! Now this got me thinking, if the bumper is going to cost this much, I want to think about putting a body kit on it instead....as the bumper usually costs the most anyway.... Can this be done, anyone had any experience of this and how you can go abouts doing this?

Just got back from the 2 day euro road trip and on the way back, saw a Grey 04 boarding at Calais, tried to find you but think we were on different shuttles.
-
Is Ian back yet from his trip? 10 hours before I head out also to Europe... Gonna head over to Folkstone to take the ferry over to Calais, followed by drive to Holland for some Snowboarding action in Snow world before heading over to do a coupla laps in a the Nurburgring and then driving back on Sunday... yup idea is to cover 800miles in 2 days ... hmmm not sure how comfy driving that long in a z is gonna be, but looking forward to the autobahn roads! Question, how strick are police in France and Holland on license plates not having the GB or EUR signs? Noted mine doesn't have one!?

behind the arm rest, its a metallic plate with the assigned number inscribed

Seems like the 350z I own has some form of positive effect on owners... First guy that owned it is upgrading to a 370z and sold it to his son, whom owned for a month (because he changed his mind and instead thought about buying a house!) now its been passed to me.... of course I had every intention of owning it until well a good fair while... however my company has now offered me a 6 mth secondment - which could look to be more to work in another country... the cars only done 9k 05 plate.... what do you reckon, keep or sell???

No way is that pricing anywhere near correct: T1Rs more than the PS2s?! No chance, they'd be cheaper than all of them. Maybe R1Rs or 888s, but not T1Rs. Someone from Camskill have made an almighty balls-up there. Taken off Black circles where poss... depends where you buy em, but the general gist still stands...tyres can be put into categories in terms of how much u willing to spend, how much grip or durability is important to you.. My last post didn't work, as the network dropped out, but the jist of what i was saying was that the falkens and toyos are just mid range tyres. and the rest were UHP (ultra high performance) tyres. as for the ultracs, was that price for the standard ultracs or the ssantas as there is a big difference in performance on the ssantas. will have to go and check them out. Camskill 225/45R18 95Y XL TL VREDESTEIN ULTRAC SESSANTA - 108.80 including VAT 245/45R18 100Y XL TL VREDESTEIN ULTRAC SESSANTA - 132.70 including VAT
