This used to be one of my favourite roads (there are 4 pages of it on that site). In fact I went for a blast over it after my dads funeral although that was in a focus not the Z And YES those wooden posts are really there to mark the edges of the road when the snow has been falling. Wynnats Pass another favourite Used to love this road in classic mini or an imp, will have to try it in the Z.

Car was in for an MOT yesterday and I got a call about lunch time to say that it needed new front discs and pads, they had rung round the local motorfactors and dealers and couldnt get them till the end of the week at a cost of 570 quid. Quickly gave ZMANALEX a call and he offered me a set of performance discs and pads for not much more than the dealer quoted price for standard parts with the added advantage that he could have them delivered straight to the garage the next day. So just picked the Z up with a nice clean MOT cert and have just bedded the discs and pads in and have to say Im very impressed with them, huge difference over stock So once again Alex saves the day

has anyone actually taken another set of gauges and swapped them into another car?? The gauges in the mini were coded to the car which could cause problems. Im assuming some of the import owners might well have done it

I did this on my bmw mini and would love something similar for the z, keep me posted if you decide to do this.

I had a paint correction done on my Azure and was very impressed with the difference it made.

GRR someone beat me to it lol, was going to suggest a swap for mine as they struggle to open the boot with a standard spoiler on the back.I press the button to pop the boot and it raises a few mm and then you have to stick your fingers in the gap and press the button again to get it to lift. Next person that buys a carbon boot PM me and Ill do a swap Does anyone know part numbers and price for stock dampers (Ive tried the pennies in the spring trick and it improved the problem but didnt cure it).

Im interested in the K&N and the strut if scottsoulby doesnt take it, if you can do the K&N for 150 delivered to Aberdeen we could have a deal

I had a spreadsheet for the Cooper S, I stopped using it when I realised that I had spent as much if not more than the purchase price of the car. With the Z I just act like a Magpie , if I see something shiney I just have to have it

They also do powdercoating on wheels, well they send them away actually but do a fantastic job - see my updated thread for pics

Is this true for a UK spec car??? I have a NISMO CAI that the previous owner fitted in a short pipe form, and handed over a box of bits to me when I bought the car, if it really is possible to just diconnect the passenger bottle and block the pipe this would be a perfect solution
