Lol it amused me when I opened the ad cause the location is the village where I grew up. I know the seller (sort of) , its a well respected body shop in the area and they have done good work for me in the past (that from googling the phone number given). Cant vouch for it being genuine or not, but if they did the repair they will have done a good job

Hi All Ok my background is Minis and every new mini owner has to rush out and buy a Whalen Shift Machine < have a look at the gallery on his site to see some of the designs he has done in the past. They are beautifully weighted with a plenty of weight at the top to give it a positive throw. Anyway spoke to Doug today about making me one for the Z and he is interested, but he required the thread pitch and the length of the shaft and a good pic of the shaft with the knob removed. Does anyone have this info to hand?? If so post in this thread as my Z is away just now so cant check it. I believe from searching ebay that its an M10 thread but will await confirmation. In the past I have organised group buys for these so if we get one knocked up and working perfectly then I will organise something similar again Cheers Mart

Ok picked up the Z and love it Quick question for you guys though, I did a forum search and I think I know the answer but just want some confirmation. Being a bloke I didnt read the manual initially but looked through it for some info on the phone kit, and noticed a bit about the headlight washers so ran outside to test them, and found a problem. Put the lights on and hit the button and I can hear a pump running and looking at the front of the car the flaps try and move out but there is no water jet. Do the jets use the same reservoir as the windscreen wipers? Are the jets powered or is it the force of the water that should push them out?? Previous car was a Mini and that had a seperate reservoir for the headlight washers and the washers were electrically driven but I couldnt find another reservoir on the Z. I can manually pull the jets out but doesnt appear to have been any water coming out of them. Any advice greatly appreciated

Well , weather in Aberdeen was horrendous today and really wasnt looking forward to a train journey , but knew that the return journey would be much for fun in the Z Couldnt sleep last night cause I was too excited so finally got up and caught the train, picked the car up at 11:30 and drove it back to Aberdeen and have to say......................... I LOVE IT Will post up some pics later but definitely know I made the right decision
