    ESP

Hmmm this would make sense, as the problem was not there when I drove the car originally for a test drive, but the dealer said he had to put two new tyres on for the MOT. However, I don't think it was two front or two rear I think it was one front and one rear. I'll have a look later and post up. Thanks!

    ESP

OK here's another one for you all. I've had my z just over a week and apart from that small navi door problem I've also noticed the ESP is being a bit wierd. I occasionally get the skid warning light flash at even though I'm not driving that hard, and it also feels like it's perhaps putting the brakes on a bit or something as I get a wierd noise and the car slows – I'm not sure if this is part of the ESP or something which is causing the ESP to turn on. It's also particularly bad on bumpy roads. Yesterday both the skid warning light AND the ESP light came on and stayed on too on the way home, although after stopping the engine and starting it again, the problem went away. My car has an extended warranty on it so I can get it fixed but I just wanted people's opinions before I go back to the dealer with it. Any ideas?
  3. Er yeah old VWs. My first car, my beetle And my camper I love them too
  4. Has anyone here used the Bird Automotive one? I own other cars I can use but none are good for motorway driving as they are 60s classic cars. Alternative is to dismantle the bike and put it in the car but I'd rather get some kind of rack affair
  5. Hmmm Can I get a tow bar mount one for my roadster then? Where is the towing eye? That rack looks fine for what I use it for, I'm a track and road cyclist so most of my bikes are much lighter than a Mountain bike
  6. You guys are going to think I'm crazy but... As a keen cyclist I'd like to ferry my bike about somehow with my Z. I have a normal bike rack but it just doesn't really work that well and the straps sometimes fall off. Does anyone know of a good bike rack to fit a roadster? I know bird automotive do one but I'm not too keen on drilling holes in my car (their's involves drilling holes in the bumper strut I think) Is there another thats any good? Or should I just give up on this idea?
  7. Thanks all. I've finally managed to shut it Using pliers and a screwdriver and some welly. At least the sat nav is no longer on show. I think it's the problem of the console not being clipped in properly so I'll still need to pull it all out again to get it opening and closing nicely.
  8. Pretty close to me, i am in Elstree and travel over to Enfield now and then to go out. If i see you i will say hello And fix my nav door
  9. Is that picture of your car outside WLMG? yep
  10. I had the EXACT same problem with Mill Hill. I went there and being a young girl on my own I was just not taken seriously. I wanted to go out for a test drive in one, it was just sat there - not blocked in or anything, they weren't busy and they wouldn't even unlock one without me saying which one I preferred. How am I supposed to know without being able to look inside??? I was sent away after having to book a test drive for the following weekend. I rang a friend to tell him what had happened and he was furious that they treated me like that. In the end he got me all angry too and I rang up and complained. Not surprisingly the car I had wanted was sold before I got to drive it. However I did go back and dealt with Michael Ryan who was very helpful and I ended up buying a roadster which I am happy with so far. I think it depends who you deal with there
  11. Sprinkly very good - and most polite quite refreshing! I'm in Enfield, North London. I don't mind fixing it myself though I'm not adversed to getting my hands dirty and I like to learn. The only thing that worries me is having my sat nav on show all the time
  12. I think this may be the case as the centre console moves about a bit. I will have to take it out and clip it all in again properly Erm, what is a sprinkly??
  13. Right. I've tried but I still can't shut it! It goes most of the way out then seems to get caught on the left hand side and I can't pull it far enough out to get the catch in the right place. i presume perhaps the mechanism is bent or has something in it. Ah well, job for the weekend
  14. Sounds like it has no motor to me. I won't be able to look at it till later so yes I can wait thanks!
  15. Hello yes it's a UK car. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1 ... =589843239 This is the only photo I have on the web of the dash. As you can see the door is open all the time. Not closed. I can't seem to close it, not the other way around.
  16. It's definitely not been modified but I am terrified of breaking it - it seems flimsy and there's a awful lot of resistance when I try and pull it out. I'll give it another go later and hope I don't break anything! If no joy I'll put up some pictures Thanks
  17. Hi guys I've just bought a 2005 350z Roadster to which I have no remote for the sat nav. The dealer is sourcing this which shouldn't be a problem but my question is this. How is the navigation door supposed to work? It's open all the time at the moment is that right? Can I close it with the remote when I get it? Or is it broken and do I need to take this up as a warranty issue? I can't seem to be able to shut it manually there's obviously motor on it as there is resistance there when I try and pull it down but I haven't tried too hard as I don't want to break anything. Anyone got any ideas?
