Thanks ... I had a guy from chips away give me a quote for the repairs and he recommended using a tissue which was rolled to a point ... I was going to try that but might use a needle or cocktail stick now ....

Ian, Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation ... I got the Digimoto software a few days ago and think it's Great! I haven't discovered it's full potential yet but it's fairly straight forward and easy to setup ...

LoL ... I was a bit disappointed after watching the third episode ... It was average at best! I'm hoping they'll step it up a bit soon!

I was just wondering if anyone had used one of these in past as I've just purchased one to cover a few stone chips and there is not much in the way of instructions supplied with it ... They do provide you with some nice pictures but I'd rather go with a first hand opinion ... From looking at the pictures, you have to apply over the scratch and then use the gauze type stuff on the tip on the pencil to remove the excess ... Any help much appreciated ...

I've been a major Stargate fan ever since the film ... I've seen every epioside of SG1 and SGA too! I didn't think much of the first 2 episodes of SGU either ... I particularly don't like Robert Carlyle's character ... I'm hoping it grows on me like Atlantis did after a few episodes ... I will still watch every episode regardless

I think I'm going to do the same ... I can't justify having the car painted just because of a few stone chips ... I'm gonna let them build up over time until it gets to a point where I feel it NEEDS to be done ... Anyway I can think of better ways I can spend the money on the Zed in the meantime ...

I had a guy out from Chips Away today to have a look at a few stone chips I've got on the drivers side of the car ... He said from looking at it that he'd only be able to do a touch up on the scratches and although the scratch would still be there ... it would just be coloured in ... He wasn't prepared to spray the car in any away and in the end advised me to get a touch up stick from Nissan and have a go at doing it myself ... The guy also mentioned that Silver is the hardest colour to match ... Sounds like there's some conflicting information there ... It might just be down to the guy and what he's capable of ....

I'm not sure if this is related but I've currently got a metal grinding noise when I turn full lock to the left ... From reading other posts I think the problem I'm experiencing is due to the dust plate behind the caliper ... Maybe worth checking out ... Good luck with it mate

Yeah it was ... Here's some more bad luck ... I took those pictures on Sunday evening and then on the drive to work on Monday morning this happened : viewtopic.php?f=9&t=28018 I've called the chips aways guys and am getting a quote later on this week ....

Thanks for all the help guys .... I've had a go at polishing out the scratches and on closer inspection its clear that the chips have gone through the paint completely on the plus side ... It's not thaaat visible and hasn't left any dents so I should be thankful for that ... I don't really want to get the whole side painted again especially since I've only just had that side done a few months back ... I think I'm gonna give the Chips Away guys a call and see what they can do about it ... Will keep you updated.

Oh ok ... well that sounds straight forward ... It's just that when I spoke to Nissan about upgrading the rear lights the guy was sure that there was some modification necessary in order to get them on ... something to do with the wiring ... Obviously he didn't know much about it ... LoL
