  1. That's terrible, can't blame you for losing it. At least my offenders were insured even though they were very difficult. In hindsight I think the woman had been drinking and only spoke to me through the door and had to get her obtuse Nepolian syndrome husband to come and "talk" to me with a right attitude. I wish if called the police. Hope you get it sorted but I think it maybe worth speaking to someone in the insurance game to understand your options.
  2. I hope you just havent jinxed him and he gets flashed tomorrow in old blighty! Really enjoyed living your trip with you. Thanks for sharing
  3. Sorry to see this. Looks similar damage to mine last week. Been quiet about it as its in hands of the insurance companies but I got hit from the side by a driver not stopping/looking right when pulling out at a T junction. Waiting to hear back what the verdict is on the damage. Just be careful what you divulge just now, believe it or not it could go against you. If you need to vent PM the folks. Fingers crossed for you
  4. Lol I was told don't go to floor 2.... You may get a shock.... Or a pleasant surprise depending on your viewpoint Enjoy the place, it's where I'd emigrate to given the chance.... And I did ask EDIT: emigrate to Singapore not floor 2!
  5. The night safari was a bit meh. I felt rushed to fit it in to be honest as it shuts relatively early so unless you get there when it opens then you will be very limited oh and I got tickets off the street and the bus got a puncture on the way back lol
  6. Oh I forgot to say I really enjoyed the English type pub in vivo city, I know looking for the little bit of Britain but it had some excellent microbrews http://www.queenandmangosteen.com/home.html Also there was a German place near raffles boulevard paulaner brauhaus. Some nice beers in there too. http://www.paulaner-brauhaus.com/worldwide But if you have limited time go and explore some of the places I said earlier just don't try the durian fruit
  7. I stayed on Sentosa while working out there a few years back. They've built a universal theme park there. If its night life how about the four floors..... Just joking, I was told about the place but never visited. I enjoyed going to china town and little India of an evening oh and the street food things were amazing
  8. Heading towards overleigh at about 8.45 this morning Not seen this one before, had a whacking great spoiler on it. I was in a can heading to the station so no wave from me
  9. I think Neil is spot on, change your plans and find a route you enjoy.... Or take a bit of timeout and sit on/near a beach and chill if it helps but don't beat yourself up about it. I've had that feeling driving between lakes Bala and Vyrnwy before now Thanks for the superb updates so far
  10. I'd forgotten that little gem. I have it on VHS somewhere.... Shame I'd don't have a player
  11. Oh and the regulator side made me very nervous. I work for a US bank
  12. Yep, actually found the Wikipedia article interesting. You caught my interest to be honest and it is related to resource consumption v how much perceived value you can generate. So the most cost effective systems are engineered for this process only and this goes back to Jez's analogy and to some extent RT's. I realise this hone replaced halving with holding.... I think they key was to get in early, it seems some brokers are already getting stung and going under
  13. No the mathematical problems are transaction processing and checking as far as I can tell hence the regulators taking a keen interest
  14. Das Boot mini series was epic, all subtitled mind but you really felt claustrophobic
  15. Ahhh the usual suspects. Good shout, superb film. I only seem to go the cinema to watch films with the girlfriend these days and begrudge £20 bill before you've even sat down. Band of brothers for a tv series is a good call. I bought Pacidic on the back of it but found it didn't draw me in as much. I used to love the Sunday afternoon films as a kid, usually b&w and ww2 based.
  16. I like a wide variety of films but one of my all time favourites is Shawshank Redemption. Also while thinking about this I've figured i must be a bit of a Tom hanks fan, the green mile and road to perdition to name a couple.
  17. My bit of research today makes me think this is the case especially as they are holding the amount of new coins issued each year. $100+ USD for a currency which doesn't have any real value. The US regulators are starting to get interested too. In effect if you're "mining" you will most likely be heavily regulated against similarly to a payments processor.
  18. Agreed I recently jumped in a hire car in Germany , punched in my brothers address and set off... Ended up taking me through the centre of Hamburg at rush hour which wasn't fun as that was the first time I'd driven a left hooker manual. My brother thought it hilarious. You would need eyes in the back of your head in a right hand drive Anyway, I'm following this with interest as it sounds a superb trip and a little different from the norm. I like to jump in the car on a whim and go for a drive, this sounds the ultimate...... Apart from the months of planning
  19. Some gorgeous machines here. Not a biker however I have been tempted to get my license over the years but always been put off by the statistics and the standard of driving out there.

  21. I was thinking this and I can say this as I was brought up in Ellesmere Port... And quite a rough area not one of the posh ones
  22. Airport, not sure your porker would be classed as checked luggage with sleazy jet Have a safe trip, should be awesome
  23. Ellesmere is quite a nice little town.... Ellesmere Port on the other hand is a different story Oh and happy birthday! Still keep an eye out in the hope i see your TT one day
  24. They've dropped OS development/support so apps may become very scarce for example.
  25. I hope thats not spoiling the competition
