  1. This is good advice. You are never going to walk into a good salary which you're targeting without experience or it being the type of dangerous work you're considering. As for contract work (someone else mentioned this) day rates won't include any sort of compensation such as pension, holidays, insurance or medical cover. At 24 sadly you really need to start thinking about your pension. At 24 I had a forced career change, I got lucky and was offered a position which was relatively poorly paid but as I had very limited experience of the role (hobby) however I saw the long game. Worked my socks off, put my hand up for any weekend work which would enable me to work alongside more experienced folks and it paid off. I now work in a global team (only member outside of the Americas) on a salary AND compensation package I'm happy with and could never of earned in my first career choice. I had a little bit of luck and worked very hard once my foot was firmly in the door. Good luck.
  2. Oops that was "danger danger danger" same thing....
  3. Why do I hear "Will Robinson" whenever I see this thread title?
  4. Nice pics Gangzoom. Slightly OT though, if heard you had to be really careful taking pictures of any religious artifacts/locations in Thailand, was this a concern? I must admit I've been to the giant Buddha in HK abd that was no pronlem and also the church of the holy sepulcher in Jerusalem where I felt intrusive taking pics
  5. Well imagine my horror a few years back when on my work computer I went to www.confused.com ........ I'm straight but a gay friend found it hilarious
  6. Yeah I mentioned it as I get the impression most are using the onboard compuguessestimator I use "road trip" on IOS. I also have a heavy right foot even when trying to save fuel so it's all about measuring correctly and then taking into account differing driving styles as well as engines.
  7. Just to clarify my figures were derived using an app whereby I logged the odometer reading, the amount of fuel, price per liter and total cost. This gave me a very detailed view of the period I logged the data. I typically brimmed on each visit but the app took into account partial fills based on the data provided. I did not use the cars the computer. I believe they way my figure is reached is a lot more reliable than the onboard computers figure which could suggest the varying levels of percieved economy.
  8. Liked and subscribed, good luck... not that you need it as i know your finished products are as polished as Wasso's plenums
  9. My roadster averaged around 20mpg over the 2 years I logged whenever I filled up. This was mixed driving however the mpg went down in this weather for some reason.... Ok it was probably due to the nice weather, roof down and fabulous roads and I would expect about 250 miles per tank under those circumstances. I think you need to book some time at Horsham and let the experts actually look at the car Good luck.
  10. That maybe the data format but as zdan says it depends on their gateway and what protocols it's listening/accepting. As I said in my experience they are typically very strict about what products can be used to interface directly but then I only have experience of corporate finance systems and its been quite some time since I've had to deal with anything like that.
  11. Have they told you what protocol they are using? Typically government agencies have an approved list of products and dictate what you use as well as the protocol in use.
  12. I thought he said he didn't have the auto tilt feature..... Is it possibly a "euro" RHD import as opposed to JDM? I've heard of that on other marques
  13. It's more the windscreen I want to see out of, having massive dangly bits tends to obstruct it. Don't know why having massive dangly bits would obstruct your view unless of course you've been over using it
  14. I'm sure this is the one from Hanbridge Oh and I would like to point out Chester does have more than one roundabout
  15. I'm glad you're getting a last chance of a drive. I went to see mine today and started her up, gave a little blip then walked away..... I hope the price she's offered back to me is a good one
  16. In going to be cheeky but anyone want to let me know how to try? Cheers
  17. This made me laugh earlier too. In fact your original post was almost the same as my FB post word for word
  18. I dont own a zed.....never have done. I've got an audi tt that was smashed in the quarter, keyed last week and all the alloys kerbed......I couldn't give a dry turd about it. My entire strategy is that someone will write it off before the pcp ends. Jeez sounds awful mate, what's on the radar next? By the way I'm in the opposite boat, some tosser has written my zed off and I wish they hadn't as I don't think I'll get the true value Laura is looking at cross overs as we speak, I fear I'm going to end up with a 1.2. Clio.
  19. I know that road and its a quiet area with plenty of off street parking so not like you're taking up a space outside someone's house. I say that as we often get people parking outside our house and as we only have space for one car on our drive it does my nut in.... However I'd never put a note like that though as at the end of the day it's first come etceteras
  20. In short a rather large range rover failed to stop at a T junction as well as failed to look right and went straight into the side of me, pushed me into a kerb. Fortunately I was going less than 10mph so no one hurt. However for some bizarre reason they aren't admitting liability, didn't care about my well being and wouldn't get out of the car.
  21. Any Zed looks good to me right now.
  22. Spotted going down watergate street. Car looked good as always. I was in a courtesy car so didn't flash..... Got news my zed has been written off today so won't be flashing any one for quite some time.
  23. Roadsters don't have the BT module or the controls but still no excuse.
  24. That's a superb description lol I didn't try them but I heard as much. Fortunately I wasn't feeling very well that evening so didn't go out with the rest of the team. I believe you aren't allowed them on the MRT either
