  1. It wasn't an 06 roadster was it? Edit: if it was I can give you some of the history
  2. Yeah I've not seen anything that comes close to snap-on and their post service. I was an apprentice in my first career and I had quite a bit of the stuff. Wish I'd kept hold of it. Well except brit-tool i seem to remember they offered a similar policy too.
  3. I never knew that and looking at the T&C's you are indeed correct. I think i'd still try it on though. Proof of purchase is required to validate the Lifetime Guarantee. Misuse of the product will immediately invalidate the Lifetime Guarantee. Moving parts are not covered for wear and tear under this guarantee. Discontinued items will be replaced with an equivalent product in terms of use and quality. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. OT I know sorry: Are they serviceable like Snap-on? just thinking there maybe a servcie kit cheaper than replacing. EDIT, you answered my question already
  4. Try another branch? Also maybe worth asking at the till if their pro range offers life time warranty and when they say yes take it out of your pocket and say I want this replaced or repaired then. Job done
  5. Nice to hear of experiences. Just a note though that 1/4 ratchet has a life time warranty so get it replaced FOC EDIT of it is a professional ratchet that is
  6. Email from amazon this morning reminding me to have funds in my account ready for dispatch I wasn't going to get this unless it came out on Xbox one but can't wait now, roll on Tuesday
  7. I don't have a standing desk but I do walk around the office a little when on conference calls obviously with a wireless headset but I have thought it could be a good idea. I spend about 80% of my time talking about work and what needs to be done so very little what I would call real work.
  8. Have you asked the French why they wear striped jumpers and hang onions around their necks? Sorry couldn't resist. I'm guessing its just regional dialect which has made it's way to written word but I have wondered over similar things in the past
  9. It's funny but my socks end up with extra holes due to the dog. She's like a ninja when hanging the washing out. You don't notice ones missing until you get to the bottom of the basket and there's one sock left
  10. Good luck. Not sure i can help in anyway as I'm IT but get your cv out there to the agencies. I will look at our vacancy site tomorrow but not sure our place will have anything suitable other than making use of your managerial and decision making skills. Oh and maybe you could offer your knowledge to any upcoming tribunals from your former colleagues? Companies/management like that need a good kick where it hurts
  11. Most of that goes over my head.... Who am I kidding all of it does. Bit of an update, it's been a while as I actually broke my wrist coming off my bike. the book ChrisI recommended came through the next day (standard amazon delivery) and I also bought a maintenance stand. Gears are sorted but I think I'm going to have to take the forks to a specialist. I just don't want to feck it up in the usual Fodder style as forum fecker upper is surely Riceys job. The bike factory in Chester are Specialized retailers so I'll book into them. Thanks for all the help P.s googled some of the bikes you guys and lady have been talking about and jeez how much!?!
  12. That seems pretty good but you would need to use someone who knows the zed roof mechanism to fit and I'd check to see if that includes the heated rear screen. Also it comes available in blue, wonder what that looks like as i don't think it was a factory option Edit: it does say it comes with a screen
  13. Afraid not. The zed is not approved in the UK for towing
  14. I hope you did negotiate? Similar situation to me and I haggled but got £140 more than their original offer. I'm taking time out from zed ownership but will have another in a couple of years as missing the old girl quite a bit
  15. Re the lights, have you checked the brake fluid? It can do that when low or pads worn IIRC
  16. What concerns me is my claim will be quite significant, even as a no fault claim (some dozy bint in a RR not looking) and ill pay for it for 5 years
  17. +1 I should imagine it does have an effect. That reminds me I need to call my insurance co up to find out the full loss value I will have to declare
  18. Here's a pic from a couple of weeks ago of our 8 month old chocolate lab called Hetti.
  19. We looked at north clwyd animal rescue too. We were after a dog and unortunately most that go through there are staffies which we didn't have a problem with except most that they deal with are nervous around other dogs so sadly we ruled them out. I will have to take a pic and provide an update to our 8 month old lab Hetti
  20. Jeez someone's lug nuts were tight that day I'm all for at least attempting to use the the correct spelling and grammar (both of which I know I'm poor with) but there are some real pedants out there. It te txt spk I dint like like init
  21. I have both of the current gen. I preordered the ps3 as soon as I could but I only got an xbox360 as friends were raving about it and the ps3 had been delayed so walked into game station and bought one one lunchtime. Both machines were actually replaced less than a year after purchase due to faults but their replacements haven't missed a beat. Love both machines as each have their own merits and fantastic exclusives but to me the online side of the 360 just edged that generation. I'd love to have both day one this generation but I can't justify it so I've plumped for the one as again I know what to expect from Live. I'm hoping this gen is a good one which ever console you choose.
  22. Thanks, useful to know. Will obviously try it but doubt the motion side will be of any real use to me. Admittedly the voice side could be interesting though. Just hope it doesn't stop me playing for using profanity every time I crash/die
  23. Thanks gents. Book ordered and perusing the park tool website as we we ermmm type. I don't mind paying for experienced techs but simple little jobs I'd like to be able to undertake myself.
  24. Had one on preorder as soon as you could. Looking forward to it but having to lay out money on peripherals such as play and charge kits is a bit of a pain especially as I have several for the 360 already. Also not sure about kinect 2 , always thought it a bit of a gimic and as the console will be going into my *ahem* office it's not likely to get any use. Just hope you don't have to have it connected all the time
