Great news I got a delivery 7 days early..... Shame it's just Ghosts Let's hope the console turns up early as I'm off Thursday and Friday next week. ordered from Tesco so we got the points too.

I normally flick my lights on and off if it's safe to do so seems to work better than flashing. Ahh so you're one of them that drives with your lights off at night...... Or do you mean "off then on"? Sorry couldn't resist but I use the tactics of switching off and on too. I think part of the problem is lots of cars have auto lights and dashboards that light up

Audio and media streaming isn't an issue. Even using an extender for tv isn't but video games could be depending on your use. If it's for streaming then not a prob but actual gaming would suffer. As for connecting your internet to your home network you would need a switch or router.

I get goosebumps whenever I see that poem. I was fortunate enough to get out for a ride on my bike this morning and couldn't help but think and reflect on those that gave their lives. I stopped to take a photo of the welsh countryside which really made me think. Lest we forget

For tv you have a couple of people give you the answer. You need extra devices at each end. For console same principle you can use the same extenders but apart from the potential loss of video quality I'd be really concerned over the input lag you would get... The screen could be quite a bit behind what actions you put into the controller and if you play online that could be a huge disadvantage. I considered CAT5e through when we were rewiring but I didn't have the time and I ended up using 200Mbps home plugs which were more than adequate for my needs today but I may regret not putting in the structured further down the line. Streamed music/video/automation/voice/home working are the main benefits I see today what's around the corner is anyone's guess

Possibly but I am getting old and grumpy doesnt help that theres a big birthday in a couple of weeks time

I will be getting a PS4 sometime next year, will be the first sony console I haven't got day one and the first MS console i will have for day one as I can't justify (to her indoors) the cost of both within a week of each other. As I said in the xbox thread, I'm just not as excited for the launch this time around as I have been previously but I do think good gaming times are ahead whichever console you get. I'm getting old and grumpy I think

i think it was a really bad decision regsrdless of the players wishes. He had a severe blow to the head and you cant take any chances, i think the player is extremely lucky as who knows what potential damage an injury like that can cause.

Currently growing my mutton chops again too, for authenticity. I think a ponytail would be just the ticket too -
I had a look and i'm not sure of the name of the "French Village" i will load it up at the weekend for old times sake. Destroyed Village was also a pretty good map. I used to play with a group of work collagues including my boss at the time, a couple of us and went out to buy gaming headsets so we could chat to each other and pinpoint our boss Anyway went slightly OT there, i believe Ghosts on the 360 is suffering severe lag.

Looking at the OP I have a feeling that was intentional

Original COD on PC was a pretty poor copy of Medal of Honour: Allied Assault for me. I loved that game and I went from dial-up to a rather expensive cable broadband just to play online. I still play Medal of Honour: Breakthrough on my PC Good man, as I typed that I did think I will go and collect my PC from my mums where it's in storage and load the game along with the expansion packs. French village along with Stalingrad were my fave MP maps

I thought they were all published by Activision?! Do you mean you prefer the Infinity Ward games over the Treyarch games? I must admit I mainly play COD and really been enjoying GTA. I have ghosts as a day one purchase for X1

My sense of humour is a little off key and made worse by the tinternet. It can't be any worse than my 60gb PS3 I must admit I'm looking forward to it but I'm just not as excited as I have been for previous new consoles. Must be my age

I guess they're making sure they have room to put more fans in 22nd is booked off however I'm going out that night and it will be a heavy one celebrating my birthday with work colleagues then again on the Saturday so doubt I'll get much gaming in that weekend. I've only ordered COD so far but will pick up forza (forced to have the FIFA bundle) and was tempted with BF4 but i tend to play a game at a time (OCD) as like to complete if you know what I mean

Glad it's sturdy I genuinely did LOL at that

Pffft nothing I didn't do as a kid with a few breeze blocks and a plank of wood Seriously though that's sphincter clinching all the way

Costco is a good shout as you can get some good prices and they used to from time to time throw in the 5 year warranty too. Only downside is you have to pay cash or debit card and for a high value purchase I like to use the old credit card for the extra bit of protection if it does go south.

Go wash your mouth out! Don't fall for the marketing. I've been pleasantly surprised by the Sonos sound bars however they are never going to replace a full fat setup. I may have to resort to one though as SWMBO wouldn't allow said full fat version. I totally agree though that any inbuilt speakers these days aren't going to be up to the job as people want thin frameless TV's and there's just no room for them.

My in laws were telling me about this one the other week.... Slightly higher than the OP's budget but I tried to encourage them.... http://m.johnlewis.com/mt/www.johnlewis.com/lg-55ea980w-oled-full-hd-3d-smart-tv-55-with-freeview-hd-and-2x-3d-glasses/p797177?un_jtt_v_pdp=yes&un_jtt_v_from_product=un_product_1

I'm still trying to make up my mind over an LG or Samsung 55" LED. Also I'd buy from John Lewis as you get 5 years warranty as standard; they are usually priced similar to curry's too and JL warranties are superb Don't think I'd but such an item from Argos.

Try Goodman if you like a good steak, pretty pricey though: http://www.goodmanrestaurants.com/home Black and Blue is pretty good for a cheaper alternative to Goodman and Gaucho: http://www.blackandbluerestaurants.com/ Sounds good, I'll speak to my boss for next time I'm down there and get him to take me
