Thanks will370z certainly was and now forza has installed and I've had time to play all I can say is WOW I've preferred the GT series up until now as I've never for on with any of the previous forza demos but the "driveatar" implementation is a great idea and really makes the races a little more dynamic.

Yes you are right. I pay Vehicle Excise duty. Which I understand is a tax on the vehicle and not for using the road. BTW I'm as confused as hell over the various taxes we pay but we need to be careful over how we present them in a debate such as this. I think the problem is a general degradation in road use, I nearly got chopped up and sprawled over someone's passenger window a couple of weeks back as I was positioning myself in the road to overtake a stationary bus and queue behind the cars waiting to safely pass it when a car decides he wants to get around me and cut in front to queue himself. Now if I'd undercut all the cars that wouldn't have happened........ The gimp just so happened to turn into the office car park behind me and was very sheepish and apologetic. I think sometimes people don't look beyond the object directly in front or behind them cyclist or motorist. I can't speak for cycling in major cities as I just wouldn't contemplate it it's nuts as crumb says.

You don't pay "road tax" either. I'm not trying to be confrontational but people get very confused over the "tax" they pay. There is no such thing as a tax for using the roads, it all comes out of a big pot of money we ALL pay for. Well that is assuming we all pay tax

How do you know they aren't tax payers? I cycle from time to time and I agree with the comments on the lights/pavement thing but there are some really worrying comments in this thread. I nearly got knocked over by a cyclist while I was walking the dog about 30 minutes due to him cutting from a cycle lane to the pedestrian side going around a corner. The side by side thing is a legitimate formation in the Highway Code if you read it properly, admittedly most cyclists dont know this or use it properly either. There are always two sides to every story. We all have to use the roads safely and it only takes common sense from everyone

Ok so a bit more research shows it's a space issue...... In my office! I've traditionally installed my consoles vertically due to me being lazy and not putting up dedicated shelving. It seems this was a well publicised fact back in September and MS dont support it in anyway! Temporarily installed horizontally and works fine, don't ask me why ghosts works and all others don't. Please feel free to hurl village idiot type abuse in this direction :lol:

Will call them later, reading posts on the official forums it seems they're sending replacement units with a 3 to 5 day delivery. I've still got ghosts in the meantime if that's the case. That said those only using download purchases I'd download the bluray app and test a disc to ensure you don't have the problem too.

Hit an interesting problem. Been to pick up forza 5 on disc and the console won't read the disc. Ghosts reads no problem, tried several Blu-Ray discs and none will read. Absolutely gutted as just doing some research points to a return for a replacement unit. Will call MS later as purchased from tesco direct

Only had about 1 hours playtime on ghosts so far. For the first time ever I felt motion sickness playing a game. I persevered and I got past it only to get it again. I thinks it's the scenes where you aren't holding a weapon and there's some "wobble" built in to simulate walking. Hopefully there aren't too many scenes like that. The box itself is roughly the same size as the 360 (premium) and runs silently. Still confused as hell with the tiles and as like Suits said things are hidden and not where you are used to them being. I had a 5 minute play with kinect much to the OH amusement..... She was crying with laughter at my feeble attempts to shut it down. I'm pleased so far, off out to pick up a play and charge kit as well as forza later - I hit a certain age yesterday and like physical possessions I can hoard and clutter up the office unlike this new fangled buying bits Edited for iPhone spell corrections being incorrect

If you're using SSD for lots of data writes I'd make sure I had a good backup strategy. I believe most consumer devices use MLC which has a higher wear rate. Been a while since I've looked closely mind.

Confirmed delivery tomorrow from tesco. Saturday is my birthday so I may not get time to even set it up until Sunday. I've always used Epson but not sure if they are still up to snuff. That said for what you want I'd consider the cost of replacement cartridges. I'd also look at a 5 colour system. Yes you have to buy more cartridges but it has less "mixing" to do.

Id stick to a company approved device with a company approved build as that just sounds like a compliance/security nightmare to me. We have an AV department and they basically have a central media server which sends the signal out to all the screens mounted through the offices. This way the device is secure ( no numpty deciding it would be a good idea to show some playboy tv etc) and you can change the content at a whim to all screens. I don't have the detail of how or what they use though

I'm quite sceptical about a couple of those reactions. It's a feature to promote a new film, I suspect most are genuine reactions some I suspect are planted by the producers to get people talking/discussing this.

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the caper with the Evoque when did that happen? I've still been looking out for a little blue drop top to give a wave to! S. Happened end of May. I should have got the police involved as she wouldn't get out of her car and called her husband to come and "deal" with me. I was finding the car difficult to justify to my other half as I only live a mile from work and with a dog we hardly used it at weekends too as we had no where to put a growing Labrador. I will have another zed in the future but not in the next couple of years. Great car and great community hence me still being involved. Oh and the car lives on, he was repaired and sold on eBay a couple of months later, expecting it to turn up on here

I'm a ****er.... Well actually I'm an IT consultant who works for a large financial institution and so I get tarred with the same brush. I no longer have a zed as some bint in an Evoque failed to stop at a T junction and ploughed into the side of me.... Not bitter at all I've not got the justification for another zed right now but I will get one again when the time is right EDIT: forgot about the swear filter, I meant "banker"
